The Novus Ordo Under Pope Francis

I had the misfortune of being unexpectedly mauled by a wild ass on facebook earlier this evening. Another person who considers herself a celebrity and expert in Catholic theology. I had taken notice that her theology derailed from time-to-time and that she gnawed on the arms of Catholics who tried to drag her back to safety but didn't think much of it before today.

Some poor slob wrote her explaining how awful her parish is and asked what to do about it.

Catholic writers and bloggers get these kinds of communications on occasion. Most people weighed in and told her to get out, find another parish with a priest who is a true shepherd.

Somebody came along in her comments section and suggested SSPX, said they had been going there for three years and took great refuge in hearing and being guided by the teachings of the Church.

Longtime readers of TTC are familiar with my position on SSPX. I don't recommend it for a multitude of reasons.

There are plenty of decent priests around who need us as much as we need them.
You need to remain where your children will have their Sacraments recorded.
There's a TLM said by priests with faculties somewhere around if you're really desperate.

But the most important reason is, some of the Sacraments they perform are invalid.

Stupidly, I thought the woman and readers there were interested in the pursuit of truth and posted a few links. It was an adult conversation. Badabing badaboom.

I posted a few links from Fr. Z, the most informative being this one, and cited important parts of his magnificent explanation.

The priests of the SSPX are validly ordained. They celebrate Mass illicitly but validly. In normal situations they do not validly absolve, because they lack faculties to absolve (because faculties are necessary – in addition to valid ordination – to absolve validly). They cannot act as proper witnesses to marriages, because they are not recognized as such by the Church. A proper witness is require by the Church for the form of marriage.

How to sort this out? Let’s try it this way...

Not all sacraments are juridic acts, and not all juridic acts are sacraments but, as in the classic Venn Diagram, some sacraments are juridic acts.

A juridic act (canons 124-128) is a human act by which a person, capable in law, observing the requisite formalities, manifests his intention to bring about a certain juridic effect.

For example, baptism is both a juridic act, and a sacrament. A juridic effect is intended (incorporation into the Church). Formalities are observed. The person, capable in law, manifests his intention to baptize (he uses the proper matter and form). The Church, in her clemency and her desire that no one be denied baptism, extends jurisdiction to confer baptism to “any person who has the requisite intention” (can. 861§2). So, while bishops, priests, and deacons are the ordinary ministers of baptism, anyone – even an unbaptized person – is capable in law of baptizing validly.

Confirmation, Marriage, Penance, and Holy Orders are the other sacraments which are simultaneously juridic acts. Reception of these sacraments changes a person’s juridic status in the Church. The Church is more restrictive about who can administer these four sacraments. Anointing of the Sick and Holy Communion/Eucharist are not juridic acts. Reception of these sacraments does not change a person’s juridic status in the Church.

Absolution of sins after Confession is a juridic act. The priest, the confessor, acts in persona Christi and judges the penitent. Remember that the confessional has the aspect of a tribunal. The confessor/judge absolves and lifts the sin from the penitent. Confessors also at times lift censures. As a juridic act, it can only be done by someone capable in law. The Church has restricted this, not because the Church wants to make penance less available to people, but rather in order to ensure that the faithful are getting the best possible pastoral care and that they remain within the fold of the Church. Thus, the Church gives faculties, permission, jurisdiction, to act in this way, to use his priestly abilities in a performing a sacramental act which is also a juridical act.

With marriage, there’s an added wrinkle. The ministers of the sacrament of marriage are the parties who get married. The spouses are the ministers of the sacrament of matrimony. Therefore, for a valid marriage to be effected, they are required to be “capable in law”. For example, a couple of thirteen year-olds are not capable of marriage. Someone already married is not capable of marriage. Other capabilities are more relational. For example, Sempronius may be capable of marriage, but he is not capable of marrying his sister, Caia. Neither is Sempronius capable of marrying Titus). For Catholics, an additional burden must be met. For a Catholic to marry validly, he or she must marry before an authorized witness, usually a bishop, priest, or deacon....

The priests of the Society of Pius X, may be holy, generous, stalwart, good men and priests. I have met some. I have been favorably impressed. However, they lack the jurisdiction to hear confessions or officiate at weddings. No proper authority has given them the faculties to act for the Church. When it comes to certain sacraments that are also juridic acts, that makes all the difference.

You are not getting absolved. The SSPX priests may sit in a Confessional and go through the motions, but they are feigning the Sacrament.

I will add my own spin on the mystical aspect of drawing upon the authority to absolve sins from Christ's Divinity. It's a little bit of a different explanation of the same effect.

Remember when Christ was walking in a crowd, people were touching Him, His clothing all day long. At some point a woman touched His cloak and He asked who touched Him. He felt the power flow from Him. Christ gave His Church the authority to regulate that power. The Church regulates mystical power of Divinity in different matters and in different ways.

In this instance, the priest cannot draw the power that absolves from the Church. He's shut off.

I could't believe the screed from Ms. Bigbritches telling me (and readers) the sacraments were all valid. She read Summa, dontcha know. She bet I never read it. She's a teacher. She teaches this stuff all the time. She tried to look in my underpants for my degrees. It was creepy.

Who do these people think they are?

We are talking about a Sacrament that is supposed to wipe a soul of its sin. The authority of the Church is crystal clear. Why would you ever hoodwink a crowd of Catholics into believing a man feigning a Sacrament is valid?

There isn't enough pride in the universe to make me do that to another human being.

In any event - I definitely recommend getting out of a parish with a priest who is misleading with heresy. We are in much better shape than we were fifteen years ago. There's a decent priest within a ten-mile or less radius. You can get more than you need to get by.

But there are a few things I would point out.

I can't remember the last time I heard a homily that encouraged chastity, enlightened us on it's beauty and the benefits we gain. It wasn't this year, the year before or the year before that. The same is true for many other important Church teachings. So you have to supplement, especially if you have small children.

No way is the Novus Ordo community the same thing as a TLM community. Even the best of the best, it is night and day. Your children will learn the magnificence of Church teaching in the TLM Community. It is proclaimed with great zeal and joy, in a way that makes it appear like a diamond.

Here's a comment from Angelqueen that points out the dangers inherent in staying in a bad Novus Ordo parish:

However, Carol needs to take the step that we trads have done regarding their upbringing, namely, GET THE H OUT OF THE N.O. CHURCH! You can’t raise your kids at the party Mass. let them hear heresy from the pulpit, and then try to correct it at home. As Carol notes, it “creates an irreparable rupture.”

You can't sit them before a heretic priest and then try to correct what he says at home. It just doesn't work. The priest is setting your children's moral compass and there is nothing you will be able to do to reset it.

That is what makes the Pope Francis agenda such a dangerous thing.

I don't know what will happen to NO in the future. I can't say how the priests will respond to the edicts and threats Pope Francis has shown with his hand. We'll have to wait and see. But there are enough priests who have valid faculties doing a TLM if things get bad. We are not there yet and we may never get there.

If you have children, I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of Motu Proprio and let the chips fall where they may in the NO community.

Ten Reasons Why Catholics Who Want the Practice of their Religion Taught to their Children are Giving Pope Francis the Stinkeye

One of the good things about being a little laid up is having time to use the new computer the children gave me for Christmas. Getting to this post sooner than I expected!

First, I want to call your attention to an insightful statement Cardinal O'Malley recently made about the Pope's agenda.

This is my cliff note synopsis of his remark: The contradictions of 2000 years of teaching we now see from the Holy Father is because he is 'very focused on what needs to be changed and updated in the Church'

Here's the quote from this article:

Meanwhile, O’Malley suggested that change will continue in 2015 in the Catholic Church
under Pope Francis.

O’Malley, who is part of a council of cardinal advisers planning to meet again in early 2015 to discuss possible ways to reform the church, said, “The Holy Father is very focused on what needs to be changed and updated in the church. He’s already made a lot of changes in the Curia, and I think has brought a wonderful emphasis on the social mission of the church and the emphasis on mercy and being available, especially to those who are suffering. .

The removal of the gringo version of the Pope's sexy infomercial to 'change and 'update' the focus of the Church's vision on women makes clear that speaking up is what we must do.

He's made changes at the Roman Curia all right. He was attracted to a consultor who includes the description of 'erotic' about himself and found those credentials the substance he wished to use to update the the culture of women. He appointed him to do the job. We have a video that lays out the fruit of those changes.

We have a serious problem which we can mitigate to preserve our religion for our children and grandchildren if we speak the truth of Pope Francis' changes. If we pretend it isn't happening, they will put their ship on full throttle. We can make a difference. That is why I'm doing it and will continue to do it.

The balance between having respect for the Holy Father while being honest about the serious nature of the problem we have, doesn't come easy.

Like someone who keeps running over your children with their cars, the prayer and spiritual forgiveness comes easy, but picking your children or loved ones up off of the ground every time he does it creates an irreparable rupture in that relationship.

I am not in the mood to beat around the bush but I've done my best to maintain respect for the Office of the Vicar of Christ and our brother who occupies it.

I will focus on two things:

1. What is the substance of the 'changes' the Pope has already made?

2. How the wonderful emphasis of redemption through the Sacraments is being replaced with the human emphasis of coddling spiritual and emotional baggage that's robbing its victims of salvation.

  • Meanwhile,O'Malley suggested that change will continue in 2015 in the Catholic Church
under Pope Francis.

In this statement, Cardinal O'Malley acknowledges that Pope Francis has made changes and intends to continue on his trajectory.

So, what kind of changes has Pope Francis already made?

1. Has clarified his changes will not formally change Church teaching, he will simply adopt policies that that give instructions on how to ignore and contradict it.

2. The Church that opened up the jawdropping beauty in the moral teachings of the Church and the fruit of Sanctifying Grace, the intimacy obtained with Christ through it, Theology of the Body, Humanae Vitae, Familiaris Consortio and taught it to us is being replaced with the lame expression of ignorance and errors of the uncatechized, where a Pope simply needs to be present in the room and the erros becomes a teaching of the Church for listeners to accept as guidance if they want to. There is no need for a Pope to inform or advise the faithful of the errors spoken or what is or is not dangerous to their soul.

3. Introduced a new policy that judgments do not need to be made about whether to act on having sexual relations with same-sex persons.

4. Introduced a new principle and purpose of the Catholic Church as one that helps sinners discover good reasons to live and have sex with a same-sex lover -ie, sinful sexuality could be a cure for a person's loneliness or it can help Catholics save money. Catholics need to be open to this because God wants to try something new. God is not afraid to try new things, you see.

5. Suggested the Catholic Church should consider letting Catholics marry more than once. We are museum mummies who have to stop the practice of rigid certainty in Church teaching. The antiquated Church that was a tool for living a daily life keeping our soul free of mortal sin with the Sacrament of Confession, filling it with the Divinity of Christ in the Eucharist, staying alert and awake to retain that state, are a disguise of making ourselves up like little holy cards, disguising ourselves as good people, we are people who look at Heaven when we pray and despise others.

6. Suggested shacking up is the what kids are doing now and the Church has to recognize sexual morality in the modern world has changed and get with the program. Parents have to stop being nostalgic and whining about structures and customs which are no longer life-giving in today's world. We are Christian hypocrites only interested in formalities.

7. Suggested adoption of a policy where Catholics with more than one wife or husband could avoid the antiquated and outdated rigmarole of marriage vows that leave an indelible mark on one's soul, the annulment process to relieve oneself from the binding of it and remarriage if permissible/abstaining if not - to have or gain access to Sanctifying Grace in the Sacraments. The changes make the fruit of sacrilegious Communion a pastoral gift. When the consequences of such actions take place, manifested in Judas, get your sourpussed funeral face on the phone and give them a call. When they don't call back, you'll know its them.

8. Appointed prelates/bishops/cardinals to key positions to execute his plans who have long histories of shilling for the Church to disregard its moral teachings and eradicate the mission of salvation through education that results in absolution through Sacraments. He then distances himself from the marching orders making Church teaching the enemy of Christ's Church which are coming directly from him.

9. For the first time in our life history, we have a Pope who has taken up an enemy sniper position against Catholics who want the practice of their religion and life-saving Sanctifying Grace passed onto their children and he is firing at will. Kasper, Marx, nuns on the bus, communism and Castro good. Moral and Sacramental theology and those who teach it, bad.

I've saved the most important reason for last:

10. The damage all this has done to moral compasses of the people we love, perhaps irreversibly. The sin and trouble they are being led into and the consequences we are all experiencing in our families, community.

This article, aptly called 'the path Pope Francis paved' clarifies what Cardinal O'Malley describes as Pope Francis change and updates to Church doctrine.

Much of what Francis did made headlines - in reshaping our understanding of church doctrine,

He reshaped understanding all right.

For the 2000 years before Pope Francis, everyone understood that if they're sleeping around, you've surrendered eternal life in Paradise and you're not going to get it back until you admit what you're doing is wrong, stop the conduct, go to the Sacrament of Confession and get it swept from your soul.

They understood that feeding the poor was not a sacrament that made any changes to the predicament. They understood Christ's system of judgments of record have you as voted out of the Isle of Paradise as Adam and Eve.

They don't understand that anymore, do they.

I have held hundreds of conversations over the years with the uncatechized and clarified Church teaching. For some of those people, in fact most, it took years of working through their misunderstandings before they came to the truth. Most have circled back to tell me how Pope Francis reshaped their understanding.

We all have experienced the reshaping of understanding. Which is, incidentally, an antiseptic description of Pope Francis' strategic plan not to change Church teaching but create policies that contradict it.

Elton John is a public example. A homosexual man who had refrained from entering into a civil ceremony uniting him and his lover as husband and husband, John claimed Pope Francis was his hero and then dropped a check in the mail to some charity and eloped. .

I used to think Pope Francis didn't mean to convey things the way they are being received. But the "changes" in the Roman Curia at the Pontifical Council for Culture memorialize the "updates" to the Church that Cardinal O'Malley is speaking about. It is hardly the only execution of it. It's all around us now.

He's surrounded himself with buffoons and the finds the counsel of the wicked the enlightenment the Church has been waiting for 2000 years.

Trying to figure out who or what he is isn't on my radar. The only thing I'm interested in is derailing it.
,
I am pretty certain he knows how upset we are and the response was he doesn't care about opposition, will not look into it, they are just going to keep on doing what they're going to do.

After all the urban legends he's using about the imaginary problem of priests and parents obsessively preaching moral theology to update the Institution designed to give us Sanctifying Grace into a place that's going to appoint apostates to tell us it's ok to shack up and sleep around and when we fall to it, tell us all the good we're doing for ourselves, I just don't have the stamina to process his silly edicts about ailments of the looks on faces at the Roman Curia.

He's getting the stinkeye because the situation is as serious as it gets for evangelists who care about preserving their religion and taking their Baptismal vows seriously.

It's a Wonderful Life

Merry Christmas! I pray each of you and your families found you way to the stable in Bethlehem and are gathered around the Holy Family receiving the radiance of His Divinity for all of your needs.

I know many of you are struggling financially in the slavery of  this precipice of the marxism and communism. Others are struggling with family members who have been robbed of the tools for salvation or various other crucibles in your personal or family life.

I've had several conversations with people who have expressed bewilderment. They are living a life in the cavern of Christ's Church, in the constant service of trying to consecrate yourselves and the people you love in the Truth so they can always approach Christ with the finest gifts or play your best for Him. The suffering seems grossly misappropriated and God's relief and miracles have evaded you.

The election of a Pope who is pulling a rug out from underneath the Deposit of Faith and Sanctifying Grace as the devil is unchained has added to the bewilderment. There's more discouragement in faithful Catholic families than I've ever experienced. I have many friends who opine the period we are living in as the darkest hour in the history of the Church. It certainly is the darkest hour in our lifetime.

The trip to the stable and the struggle to be present there was a bit more challenging.

But the Light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome It.

I had a bit of an unnecessary challenge over the last week. I somehow managed to hurt my knee. I was still mobile until Wednesday when I did too much walking on my way home from work and found myself on the ground, unable to walk on it with ten minutes to make a train.

I managed to get home with some help but with things to wrap and many last minute things to do - and living with two 20-year olds who had things of their own to accomplish and places to be, I found myself on the couch in excrutiating pain and helpless. They kept checking on me every few hours, coming home and helping - but there were several times I waited several hours for a glass of water or other assistance. I couldn't make it to Mass and haven't been out of my jammies for three days. I toyed with going to the emergency room but with a knee injury you get whoever is on call. The outcome depends on who you pick. So I struggled through and have an appointment this morning.

Kneeling on the steps at South Station, all I could think of is - "Really Lord? Are you kidding me? Give me a break. I have enough and had enough. I sacrifice to what You ask of me and have given up much. Least you forget, here are some bullet points. In spite of it all, I work hard to bring those around me into Your Light and love. Enough already."

I whimpered and limped and made it home. The youngest two helped finish last details and our family centralized our celebrations at my oldest daughter's home where there was much joy and love and celebrating the gift of my seven month old grandchild.

I thought of all of us as I watched It's a Wonderful Life and prayed that each of you found it's beauty and truth in your own lives: The blessings of the many who have helped us along our way and the differences we have made and continue to make in the lives of others. The love and joy in every day life in spite of it all.

I love the scene where George comes home after his awakening. The banister of the old house comes off in his hands again but instead of his usual exasperation, this time he kisses it.

These days when Our Blessed Lord slumbers in the Manger and His people come to Adore Him are so precious. I go there with the communion of Saints several times a day to sit and observe. I sit in the light of the North star, smell the hay, feel the dampness, hear the animals. I see my relatives who have passed from this life. I pray in Adoration, watch others bring their finest gifts or play their finest tunes. I intercess for all of our struggles. I will sometimes place a person in the manger beside Christ. Rest or sleep in the arms of an angel.

You will always come back and kiss that banister.

++++++++

Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!

Your kindness should be known to all.

The Lord is near.

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.

Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Cheap Discourse about the Church of Nice

I've had this post cooking for some time but didn't have the time it deserves.  I still don't but I did want to get something posted because of a comment on the blog yesterday on this post.

The post was about the hypocrisy of a sermon about avoiding gossip from a Pope whose main focus has been using gossip and insults to shape and carry out his agenda of a camp where Church teaching is the enemy of Christ's people.

We are most familiar with this agenda.   We have experienced it for decades.

The agenda withholds from all of It's people teaching the beauty and joy in living our lives in accordance with Church teaching so we can have access to the Sanctifying Grace Christ gave His life to bequeath to us.

The reason they withhold from thousands who come to hear it is, there may be one person in the audience who may take offense to Church teaching and they won't come back.

The parish starts out with everyone having access to the tools for Sanctifying Grace.  This one person who comes is without sanctifying Grace.   To attract this one person, they withhold Church teaching and start saying things publicly to make everyone in the audience believe Church teaching is outdated and it's ok to sleep around with anyone you want.

The children of the thousands of families in the parish take those lessons and apply them to making judgments when they have urges to act on sexual temptation.

In almost every family, the children shoot a flare of warning across their parents bow before they do it.  They make know what the teacher, priest, bishop, pope said about making judgments on urges to have sex:  It's no longer necessary to say no if you feed the poor and are nice to people.

We go back to the teacher, priest, bishop, pope, to tell them how what they didn't say and said has affected our children, how it will impact the choices they make, which we know will result in severing themselves from the Sanctifying Grace they need for right judgment and ask them to correct their understanding.

They don't and won't.

Our children or loved ones eventually follow the advice of this teacher, priest, bishop, pope. The damage to their moral compass leads to mortal sin and they lose the benefits of right judgment. They get into all kinds of trouble. We continue to beg for help from the teacher, priest, bishop, pope.

What we get in return at best is silence and at worst, ruthless slander and exile.

The once-filled Church full of people bound to Christ through Sanctifying Grace stop going to Church.

A mother tells this to a Pope and he tells her there isn't a need to go to Church anymore if you're a good person. No need for the pursuit of truth. No need for right judgment. No need for the Sacraments and Sanctifying Grace. No need to be connected or intimate with prayer and Christ. You can do it all yourself now, if you are nice.

I am still praying for that poor exasperated mother who went all the way to the top of the food chain and was handed this piece of drivel.

We call this the "Church of Nice".

They are anything but nice.  They are nasty, gossiping, insulting brutes who will not hesitate to slander, threaten, exile anyone who informs their conscience about what they are doing and asks them to stop.   The fact that they do it under a veil of virtue is deception the devil uses to throttle the agenda.

Prior to this pontificate, we had a structure where we knew we would eventually get help.

But the Pope is now running this camp.  He is turning the entire structure of the Church over to it from the Chair of Peter.

He has hand-selected those who have been doing it to us for years and they are tactically going about dismantling Christ's Church as the Institution that delivers Sanctifying Grace.

Those of us exposing what the Pope is doing from the Chair of Peter will not be dissuaded from letting the Pope know in the public square that we see what he is doing and we will not hesitate to expose the perversion of our children's moral compasses.  Under any circumstances.

The reasons we will not be dissuaded is, it is not about him.  It is about the Baptismal promises we made.  It is about the marriage vows we took.

It is about the promises we made to Christ to preserve the tools of salvation for the next generation and the generation after.

It is about our own children and loved ones.

You want ugly brother - you can take this to the bank:  Until you bind your own hands to Church teaching and consecrate our children in it - you're going to get it.   And you have not begun to see the whites of our eyes so gird your loins.

Here was the comment I'd like to address:

I thought you people didn't like the church of nice? - this should have been right up your alley.

Ok Mr. Grinch, here's you're come to Jesus on that cannard:

I don't take kindly to your acumen and cheap caricature of what is really happening.

It implies that those of us who don't and wont cooperate with the institution of the perversion of the moral compasses from the Chair of Peter don't want to be kind, affectionate, loving and merciful.  It implies the Church hasn't been kind, affectionate, loving and merciful for the first 2000 years and we oppose it's introduction because we want to keep people who struggle with sin out of the Church by being nasty to them.

I don't take kindly to it not only because it does a disservice to the truth, but it does a terrible disservice to the sinners we are trying to attract who have been tempted away from the tools for Sanctifying Grace and salvation -- which ultimately is a disservice to Christ.

I saw this quote from Bishop Chris Coyne and thought how simply and beautifully it expresses the charity and love of Christ and His Church:

The bishop said he was happy to welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to the church, but that he was obligated to give the church’s teaching that homosexual behavior is sinful. “I want to do it in a way that’s not hurtful, though sometimes by its very nature it’s hurtful,” he said.

This is something the Pope should have and would have expressed two years ago if it were his intention to do it.

His omissions and commission of the Church of Nice for two years makes his agenda perfectly clear.

We all recognize the agenda because we have lived it for fifty years.

I know it is difficult to watch the Pope's agenda being exposed. But expose it we shall. Worthy is the Lamb.

If you want to slander us, make a cartoon caricature out of the truth, you knock yourselves out. But we will sweep you up and expose you too because what you are doing is wrong and scandalous.

That may not feel very nice because it is unpleasant. Just like the police having to shoot somebody who points a gun at them, when a person poised themselves to hurt another person, actions have to be taken that stop them from harming other people. Especially the people and Church we love. There is a slaying of souls going on and it has escalated to spiritual genocide of a generation of souls from the Holy See.

Any mother or grandmother worth her grain of salt will do everything in their power to stop the agenda in its tracks. Thank God for the Internet and blogs. Exposing it is free.

Merry Christmas to all!

p.s. - I have noticed several stories emerging from the David Clohessy crowd about Bishop Coyne and also noticed a few stories in our own camp taking things he's said out of context.

Bishop Coyne is one of the most honorable men I have ever met in my history of a mother trying to preserve the tools of salvation for her own children. True, we didn't always see eye-to-eye on strategy and policy or Liturgy and had a few spats. But he is man who loves and pursues the truth at all costs. He is incapable of clericalism.

The people of Vermont have been blessed with a good and faithful shepherd.

The stories from Clohessy are b.s. Anyone who ever stood in the same room and breathed the same oxygen with Cardinal Law is accused of corruption. Cardinal Law had his flaws but he wasn't responsible for the stupidity of believing in the redemption of someone who sexually seduced children. That is something that manifested in every family or community who was and is burdened by one. We have several teachers in town with a long history of sexual debauchery with students. All the children flock to them. They are popular with the parents of most. Nothing ever changes. We just use the dysfunction of it when it's convenient to bring about a desired outcome. The desired outcome was exiling Law so a group of dissident priests could get gay marriage effected into law and bring about what we now see foisted at the Holy See.

Give the devil his due - they were successful.

Pontifical Council on Culture Releases Degrading Infomercial on Modern Women - UPDATE

I watched this a few times and though it clearly offended me, I had to watch it a few times to unravel it.

Pope Francis is formally introducing moral relativism into the vocation of woman.

We have a Pope who, instead of teaching and encouraging, is scrounging up women who have taken a different trajectory and he wants to make a movie about how lovely that defiance can actually turn out to be.

This is the second manifestation of how he intends not to change actual Church teaching but still get his agenda executed with moral relativism.

The behavior of the woman in the Pope's video introduces and uses the gift of sexual seduction, a gift intended to be preserved for the pleasure of her husband, behind closed doors in their bedroom.

We have watched the gift of sexual seduction used for a lot of things commercially.   It started with cologne in the 60s.

Remember the Noxema commercial where the woman moves and speaks with sexual seduction and says "take it off, take it off, take it all off"?

For those of you who are too young to remember, here it is.

I would encourage you to watch both videos.

I think you will see that what is offensive is the Pope's use of a woman's sensuality and gifts of sexual seduction meant for her husband to brand his openness to the sinful misuse of that gift as simply another vocation of woman.

If you watch the Pope's video on women carefully, you will see the poor creature has been enticed to wet and purse her lips and throw her head and hair around like we do when we want to get men away from watching the Patriot's game. She uses the bedroom eyes and voice we use right before we crawl between the sheets.

A perverse use of human sexuality of a woman by a Pope.

For the record, the pursuit of being a woman in my spiritual life is about finding the vision of Christ and refining my gifts to it. For as far back as I can remember, I wanted to serve God in the vocation of motherhood. I need the Church to help me pursue THAT, not the nuns on the bus or women selling sexual seduction so the Pope can create his culture at the Pontifical Council. And I will do everything I can as a mother and a woman to stop him from executing it.

We are in very serious trouble here.  There is something terribly corrupt happening at the Holy See.

UPDATE

The Holy See has pulled the American translation of their initiative off of Youtube.

Don't be fooled into the notion they took the expressed offensive nature of the video and initiative itself by American women seriously and their intentions are to pastorally and quietly dispose of the initiative and video.

The are simply circumventing criticism by removing the availability of an English translation.

The show will go on.    The Pontifical Council called an emergency meeting to brainstorm and have come up with foolproof damage control on their website.

They will only posted the Italian translation of the video with written English translation underneath it.

Get it?

That way, when she's telling us Pope Francis wants to solicit videos with role models other than the Blessed Mother and 2000 years of saints with the sexual seduction, false eyelashes and silicone-injected lips, American women would have to read along to translate.  Everyone knows we are too dumb to do that!

There is a comment on Janet's website that alleges a very disturbing appointment by Pope Francis was made prior to the unveiling of this initiative.

More about the Pontifical Council for Culture that produced and brought you this video:

http://eponymousflower.blogspot.com/2014/11/pontifical-council-for-culture-supports.html

" In an interview with La Repubblica on 5 November, he said that for "the next General Assembly" of the Pontifical Council for Culture is for common ground, which will be convened in 2015 on the topic of "female culture", an "opening" in the direction of women priests. He will attend and is "absolutely sure". Pablo d'Ors added: "And I am not alone." Last July 1, Pope Francis appointed Pablo d'Ors as Consultor of the Pontifical Council for Culture .
Father Pablo d'Ors describes himself as "erotic, mystical and weird". His life had been "full of loving relationships, reading and travel, also reckless". This helped him in his appeal that he discovered at the age of 27. "Knowing human love, divine love helps to better understand" said the Claretian. "Could be. If indeed so many chaste young men and young women also apparently have dedicated themselves in the course of Church history with all their souls and with all their bodies God?" Said Messa in Latina about that.
The Church's understanding of culture is especially "inappropriate" toda for Father d'Ors. Compared to the high culture, this understanding is only B-Class. It was necessary to adjust, stop trying to be an "alternative", but a Christianity in "dialogue" with the living world.
Priests are better living with a woman: "The time has come"
He has written several novels and is considered the "most German" among living Spanish writers. In one of his novels, the main character, a Slovak woman, goes to bed with all the great writers of the 20th century. Pablo d'Ors said in an interview, a priest lives better with a woman at his side. Why? "Because the time is now ripe." But that was only his "personal opinion".
Realignment of the Church Planned in Terms of Women Priests?
The Pontifical Council for Culture "can't talk about it". There you will, however, talk about women priests. "I think there will be a realignment at the next General Assembly"
He has also written some non-fiction books, including his most successful book Biografía del silencio (Biography of Silence), in which he says, each "should create a work of art". In line with this premise seems to be his default setting: "An important criterion to measure the spiritual vitality of a person is their willingness to change. To resist life is a sin, because life is in constant development ," according to the ancient Greek aphorism Panta Rhei .
To be allow himself to be "swept away by life" - "If I were not a Christian, I would be a Buddhist"

Seriously - this has the stink of a priest who is sexually seducing vulnerable women.

Why would a Pope or anyone at the Vatican not see the disturbing writing on his wall?

Why would a Pope find his theology and ideas the track he wishes to take his pontifical council to recruit alternative videos of the visions of Catholic women?

No Saint Ever Had a Funeral Face

Why the long face?

What will Pope Francis do with this Funeral Face?

Do you think they'll dig the Crucifixes with Christ flying off like Peter Pan out of the Vatican II museum or pull His Corpus off all together?

If the ceilings in the Sistine Chapel weren't so high, I'd volunteer to climb up and paint curled-up corners on all the faces of Jesus and the Saints.

I don't know if there is any hope for the Seven Dolors of Mary.  She would look kind of silly wearing a grin with all those swords coming out of her heart.

How do you suppose they'll transform Scripture to the transfiguration of a giddy Christ?

They have to practically change every word He said and story He told.

I think we may be told to throw out our nativity sets and replace them with figurines of all different kinds of sex partners gathering with Mary, Joseph and Jesus.  The story that they ran away and preserved sanctity and life of their child just doesn't jive with the stereotyping the Church has been holding onto in the modern culture and giddy diplomacy with the devil.

Pleased to meet you,
Hope you've guessed my name
Ah, but what's puzzling you is the nature of my game.

Main cause of funeral face discovered: Listening to drivel

Have you read the 15 flaws of bishops yet?:

my, my, my, my, my, my, my poker faces

If I had fly to St Peter's Square and sit in a room listening to that drivel, I'd have a funeral face too.

I don't know why, but as soon as I am in a situation and I'm forced to listen to drivel, there is something about squeezing the bridge of my nose that helps me get through it.

Seriously, if you have a see of bishops in a room, telling them they are planning too much and overworking themselves probably shouldn't be included in a final version of talking points.

It's right up there with "stop being so brave" and "eat more food".

I have a post cooking--15 reasons why everyone is giving Pope Francis the stinkeye.

Papal "Diplomacy" with Herod and Hitler

I have not had the time to put together a post on Pope Francis political move to turn a blind eye and give the nudge and the wink to the ruthless and murdering regime in Cuba and help Obama and the commies in the United States spread communism here.  I probably won't get to it until after Christmas but I did want to point out that local commie Jackie Connors was spearheading the arrangement:

http://www.cruxnow.com/church/2014/12/17/pope-francis-helped-broker-the-restoration-of-us-cuban-relations/

I bet money was funneled into Church coffers somewhere.

More on how Connors took control of the Boston diocese and castrated the Cardinal with money, and then took over control of Catechesis after Christmas, but I will say this--the disclosure of the partnership of Connors with Pope Francis, and the corruption at the synod and Catechesis may be more than coincidence.

Frankly, I would like more  info on the unexplained pot of money found by Cardinal Pell.

The dismantling of Church Structure in Rome and the corruption of catechesis coming from the Chair of Peter looks and sounds very familiar to Bostonians.

I am not into conspiracy theories and have paid little attention to chatter about Pope Francis election But the more I see this unravel and see the characters connected to it, I start to wonder how Bergolio got elected.

The deal brokered with Cuba puts substantive context to Pope Francis constant communist chit chat.  His ties to Jack Connors--knowing what Connors did in Boston, knowing he was instrumental in getting Barack Hussein elected -- the whole thing is starting to have a very smelly smell. Connor power at the Globe, the strange launching of Crux with Cardinal O'Malley, the Donilons put in charge of diocesan communications, the appointment of O'Malley to the team dismantling the Curia and its replacement with laity...

Now we learn Cardinal O'Malley,Connors and Pope Francis were formally plugging Castro and communism into America.

What's next? Diplomatic relations with the Taliban?

What is the Pope doing asking for terrorists to be freed from GITMO?

Something is really off.

I keep going back to the deception of his first year,  sneakiness of what was really happening with Kasper and Marx and when they set their agenda in motion at the synod, how he pretended he was a disinterested and innocent bystander.   More than anything else this is what really keeps informing my gut that this is being manipulated by somebody. At the end of the day, it's the devil.

Pope Francis curses sinners

I kinda wasn't too surprised to hear the pope say he prays that people fall to temptation.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out the kind of Catholics he curses.

You know the irony of his ruthless perversion of prayer and role of a Pope?

Catholics who want their religion taught to them are the very Catholics who humbly acknowledge their temptation and sin.  That is why we constantly beg for pastoral perspectives on ways to recognize the devil long before he has us duped, ways to circumvent temptation and sin and remain in a state of Sanctifying Grace.

We are, in fact, the very people who are examining our conscience, going to confession to have our sins absolved, filling our soul with the Body and Blood of Christ so we have the strength to not act on our temptations.

When we go to the Pope to ask him to preserve the institution to cure sinners with Sanctifying Grace, he utters a curse that we fall into sin.

This is nothing new. We have been dealing with priests and bishops like him for as long as we can remember.

They stop giving us the tools we need to stay in a state of Grace. Then they say things that make listeners think sins aren't sins anymore. Then when those of us who know they are sins ask for the Church that absolves sins, they get pissy and start insulting us, calling us names.  They publicly tell the congregation that folks like us who don't want to sell our soul for a hug and kiss from them, are antiquated people who don't know what love is.

They send hostility and venom our direction, throw the word "Pharisee" around and misrepresent Christ and the Gospel.

This one curses us.

I wish he would simply have the decency to face the reasons he doesn't want us around.   Our presence and witness reminds people what they are doing - or teaching others to do - is sinful.  What we have to do to ask for the Church that absolves sins and gives out Sanctifying Grace, makes what they teach and do, a lie.   They can't feel good about what they are saying and doing so they concoct a tall story that we are viscous people who deserve their slander, insults and exiles.

The pope has seriously damaged Church teaching.  It has robbed people I love and care about of right judgement they need for their salvation.  It would be sinful to express how I feel about his antics.  But in my worst hour I have never wished he fall into temptation and sin to fix his perversion of humility.

Has anyone read this Jeff Mirus article?

http://www.catholicculture.org/commentary/insights.cfm?task=show&id=2974

It's the usual and customary "a Pope contradicting Church teaching is nothing to worry about because he isn't going to officially change it" but with a twist--Mirus is trying to tell us the Pope's fuller explanation on how he intends to contradict Church teaching and how he isn't listening and doesn't give a rat's patoot about resistance to the heresy and apostasy, signals the Pope is listening to "conservatives" in the Church.

He's got to be kidding!

Listen, the seat at the bishop's swanky events means nothing when you have to sell your children's salvation to them to earn it.

There is nothing you can accomplish shaking his hand in a receiving line and conversation over a steak at the fru-fru hotel.    Be a man, a husband, a father, a baptized Catholic and speak the truth.  You are much better off staying home with your children and tucking them into bed knowing you wouldn't give a hair on their head for any amount of money you will take, no four hour meal with all the well-heeled, no nod and wink from a bishop or even a Pope.

The things coming out of the Pope's mouth now, it is a no-brainer to figure out the author.  It contradicts Church teaching.

That's how the whole thing is going to work.   He is going to leave Church teaching in place and teach the people how to ignore and contradict it.   Make the people who do ignore and contradict it the people who teach theology.   Those of us who recognize what he is doing are going to find ourselves on the end of his shoe or on his list of people to ridicule and insult.

And what is laughable, truly, he thinks this is something new the spirit has conjured up.

It is impossible to swallow if you are living your life in pursuit of Sanctifying Grace.

Don't try to explain it.  Don't spin it.   Don't spit on Catholics and tell them it's raining.

At this point it's you who will lose your credibility.

Sure, the regurgitation of his plans indicates that he is aware of concerns of Catholics who want their religion taught to the congregation where we all sit. But his explanation of his plans confirms he is going to change the practice of our teaching so that it all becomes meaningless.

He is saying it doesn't matter what the teachings say, we will ignore it and set practices up that contradict it in spite of what Church teaching says.

Does that mean anything to you Jeff?

He has clarified that he doesn't care about resistance to what he and the apostates are doing, he is going to do it anyway, slowly and behind the scenes.

He is proposing that the same people foisting immorality and licentiousness, divorce, contraception and abortion become the face and teachers of theology at your local parish and in your very family.

He is proposing they become godparents. The people rejecting Church teaching are to become the Pope's ambassadors on how to reject and ignore Church teaching inside of your family. This catastrophic curse will be a gift that keeps on giving to your bloodline and mine.

Do you understand how children's minds work? How they will process the counterfeit church being imposed at your parish?

I think you do, which is what makes articles like the ones you are publishing kinda sickening.

It means when your children are at school or in the community - or worse in CCD class - and these same people who reject Church teaching tell your children the new "love" the Pope is offering accepts living your life having sex with anyone and shacking up to form a family, what you teach at home isn't going make sense to them.

Not after what the Pope is trying to sell as love.

Do you get what that means to salvation of the generations to come?

You have to stop dreaming that he intends to lead the faithful to absolution and sanctifying Grace.

You need to believe the words coming out of his mouth and hold onto the reality that what we see is what we got.

All you have to do to recognize the malarkey is substitute pornographers or prostitutes into his suggestions they should be godfathers and god mothers and lectors and other public leadership roles in the teaching and practices of our religion to the uncatechized and children.

Stop the spin and help us stop it before it is too late.

The bishops are cowards and they will go with whatever will bring money into their parishes because that is how they advance they earn their pink and red hats. That is what the system is built upon, in spite of the dog and pony show about the poor, the poor, the poor.

We have to play the cards we are dealt. We can't let them roll it out.

Do you understand the reasons why?

It's catastrophic to salvation.

Stop it brother. Stop the nonsense.

Worthy is the Lamb.

Pope Francis Explains Why Bishops Teaching Heresy is Healthy for the Salvation of Children

Just two days after Pope Francis told the Catholic Church's top theologians that they need to listen to the "signs of the times" and consider the needs of ordinary Catholics, an interview published on Sunday by La Nación showed us a few examples of what he meant.

I have read this article explaining the Pope's position and I still can't figure out what he thinks went awry for the 2000 years before him and what 'changes' he wants to implement.

For example, do you remember the German Bishops the Pope hand-selected to more fully explain his theology on helping us all out in the modern culture?

The Pope said they aren't talking about gay marriage - heavens no.

The Germans, who luckily enough for us have been more fully explaining why the Pope thinks their theology are the sexual talking points of his papacy in the modern world, have clarified the movement trying to move the Church out o the dark ages of the antiquity of Its teachings on human sexuality, marriage and the Sacraments is 'mulling over "allowing" Church employees to shack up with same-sex partners'

So don't you go worrying your pretty little heads about a Catholic Pope telling gay Catholic children they can get married. Why that would be preposterous.

So, here's one of the quotes from the Pope from the article linked at the top of this post.

Get your hand positoned to scratch your head.

Are you ready?

He told La Nación that gay marriage was not mentioned, but that the discussion focused on how to help the family of a homosexual child ("we have to find a way to help that father or that mother to stand by their son or daughter").

When same-sex attracted children come to us to tell us they want to act upon same-sex urges and seek our approval, they simply have to finda way to 'help' mothers and fathers "stand by" their children.

Isn't that sweet?

They are getting rid of the burden of parents to stand by God.

Looks like they are shying away from finding ways for priests to give a "pastoral" tactical nod to heterosexual children shacking up.

Do you think they think there is no such thing as attraction to having sex with the opposite sex in the modern world?

It was always taboo to openly talk about who we are attracted to having sex with outside of the Sacrament of Marriage. Should we invent a flag for it and organize a parade?

If we act like we don't feel welcome maybe we can get the Pope to stand by heterosexual promiscuity. Why should we get left out of the modern papal pastoral practice of the obstruction of absolution in the Sacrament of Penance?

Aren't you tired of having to tell God you regret the abuse of His gift of human sexuality?

Wouldn't you prefer having a Pope who will train his see to avoid teaching on sexual morality and put together just the right ambiguous talking points to makes us feel like the Catechism and Sacrament of Penance, absolution and amendening our lives has been the enemy of unity with Christ?

I want to get in on the ground floor of this movement.

Why not get rid of every teaching that informs the intellect to feel remorse for all sins?

Get your hand positioned to scratch your head again - here comes a doozy:

Regarding Catholics who have divorced and remarried, he said, "let us open the doors a bit more. Why can't they be godfathers and godmothers?"

That old antiquated chestnut of godparents who take Church teaching seriously, are faithful witnesses who will impart the treasure of Sacramental Sanctifying Grace if something happens to you?

The man is not a believer in that practice either.

Why not pick people who publicly reject Church teaching? Or better yet, articulte their contempt at family and friend get togethers or in the public square?

I wonder why nobody thought of that for 2000 years?

Strap youself into the Ark kiddies. We are in for a rough ride.

God help the uncatechized.

Folks, we can all relax: The synod was absolutely transparent and there was no dispute

Move along. There is nothing to see here

This ought to help his credibility.

Your pants are on fire, sir.

Who do you suppose helped him with those talking points?

Do you think the Donilons have camped themselves in St Peter's Square?

Bishops surround themselves with yes men who will go along with just about any delusion in their fantasy world.

We all now know that no matter what happened or happens in the future, it doesn't matter. They are behind the scenes publishing and distributing their apostasy and nothing is going to stop them. They don't care about any resistance or fracture because they pretend it doesn't exist.

Carry on gentleman, but you are only fooling yourselves.

Scratch Women Who Never Married off of the Pope's Welcome List

Claiming that a Church that doesn't go outside of herself is a spinster, not a mother.

Here's an accurate definition of the derogatory caricature of "spinster" (from the Urban Dictionary):

An elderly or aging female who due to a combination of major personality flaws, undesirable personal habits, and unattractive physical appearance has never married.

The Pope was trying to make the point that each of us in the Church are on the search and rescue mission - that we don't hole ourselves up inside of the Church, every man/woman for herself.

Ok, but he appears to be suffering from the misconception that women who never married are not active in the mission of the Church.

All the women I know who never married are loving, kind, caring women, very involved in searching for lost sheep, binding their wounds, interceding, serving and loving everyone around them. They are every bit the mother to their family members, friends, neighbors, community than any other mother.

The man has quite a long list of urban legends going on inside his hat rack.

Pope Francis Admits His "Unawareness"

https://news.yahoo.com/pope-francis-god-has-bestowed-on-healthy-dose-060000447.html

Newspapers are splashing headlines about Pope Francis' admission that he is ignorant about what is going on in his Church.  He is reportedly claiming his "unawareness" was "bestowed" upon him by God, and this is where he gets his license to continue on with the destruction of Catechesis in spite of the chaos of The Ferris Bueller's Day Off Papacy.

Willful ignorance may make him feel blissful but it is not a gift of God's.

Another Book Hailing Pope Francis as the Great Radical Who Has Come to Reform 2000 Years of Church Teaching

http://www.religionnews.com/2014/12/05/smoking-gun-pope-francis-critics-cite-new-book-questioning-papacy/

The meme for the book goes something like this:

The first humble and loving Pope ever elected to the Catholic Church, who is trying his best to debunk the Catechism and welcome adultery, is embattled with conspiracy theories over his election. There is a powerful group of Catholics coming to grips with the two years of a papacy about appointing notorious heretics to lead theology on the family, propaganda coming out of a synod that had been obviously published beforehand in every language known to mankind and passed out to the press before the bishops were allowed to review what the Pope alleged they said, a final document ordered released with heresy that was voted out, with the Pope waving goodbye and blowing kisses at it while implying Jesus isn't afraid to put a mask of virtue on adultery as something new--and they are    ...wondering how Captain Quigg got elected, questioning the validity of his papacy.

They are watching the apostate Marx, a man hand-selected by the Pope to lead theology on the family, state his intention in national newspapers to "allow" Church employees in Germany to shack up with a same-sex lover--and watching the Pope sit in silence to those egregious errors where many will lose their salvation, while he is focusing his energies on insulting, purging and taking actions against those who are saying the apostates are spiritually dangerous persons, and people who are trying to control the chaos of his Ferris Bueller's Day Off Papacy, and saying to themselves, "Whoah baby, there is something more than a couple of loose screws going on here!"

Yes, I think that is an accurate description of the sentiment among Sacramental and Eucharistic people.

I personally accept the validity of his election, though I do subscribe to the theory that corrupt Cardinals probably hijacked the election.  There is just too much pollution flowing over the dam.

But it is indisputable that those us who know the truth when we hear it, and have not heard it yet from this Pope, have branded him.

We are watching the show to see who the players are, and they are being branded--the shepherds and the wolves.  There is a third branding--the village idiots--and the Inn for that group is filled to capacity.

This a blip on the screen and we are ready and waiting in every parish and apostolate with our branding irons.

As we used to say as children after the game of hiding was over, "ollie-ollie-entry" fellas!

Come to mommy!

Pope Francis vs. the Wolves

This story on CNN really captures the fruit of the tree of Pope Francis:

amanpour.blogs.cnn.com/2014/12/03/beginning-of-a-tough-period-for-pope-francis/

Pope Francis has been trying so hard to a fresh face on adultery and gay marriage but there are people inside of the Church who are against the poor dear.   He faces many hard days ahead fighting Catholics holding into the fairy tale that adultery and gay marriage are sins that obstruct your salvation and require the Sacrament if Confession and firm purpose of amending your life to remove that obstruction.   These Catholics are wolves keeping adulterers away from the Church.   Pope Francis is fighting these wolves.

I use to wonder how the Pope would sleep at night knowing how this ruptures the family.  He's got to know that the children reading conclude their parents trying to uphold Church teaching are the wolverines, according to the messeges given by the Pope.

I don't find myself wondering any more.

The message Church teaching is the wolf is his shtick to make himself popular.

He knows this will destroy relationships in the family, by he is what is important in this scenario..  If they like what he is saying to approve sleeping around, they will love him and the mission of love is accomplished.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph had it all wrong.

You don't run from politicians who slay and murder.

You honor them in ceremonies and the Sacred Liturgy.

Scratch the Krauts off the Pope's welcome list

Pope Francis fired the head of his Swiss Army for being "Teutonic".

Isis is in and the Germans are out.

Killing, schmilling. Let us not quibble about the "peace" of 2000 years of ethnic cleansing of Christians.  But there is only so much stout sourpuss Germans the Pope can stand.

Setting the bigotry aside, I am beside myself that the man the Pope is firing is being slandered in the public square.

Who does that?

Who fires a man and then goes out to the newspapers and issues a character assassination, making it difficult for him to get hired somewhere else?

Even the most cruel task masters have more decency.

All his bellyaching about how much he cares about families who need to put food on the table and this is the way he and his administration treats his own employees.

Machiavelli eat your heart out.

The Pope's  reckless disregard for his own safety probably had something to do with his head of security overcompensating to try to keep him safe?

The Swiss Guard is a branch of the military.     Is he so entrenched in the stink of sissy he is going to foist it upon the army?

Can you imagine trying to secure a job after the Pope publicly announces your termination and assassinates your character?

Every job interview, recognition will result in: "That's the guy who saintly Pope Francis said was wrapped too tight."

Don't worry sir, when you run out of cash and get evicted, Pope Francis has installed showers so you can wash up.

I guess his head of security must not have been living with his lover, so the Pope felt comfortable making a judgment, engaging in public humiliation and making sure he is not employable?

That is quite a papal undertaking in Advent.  All to demonstrate what a nice guy he is.

"Merry  Christmas you filthy animal.   And a Happy New Year too."

What is this turd doing on First Things?

Admittedly, I don't get to surf blogosphere as often as I would like, so I could be mistaken-but I have generally found First Things to be reliable and honest.

So this piece of tata very much surprised me:

http://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2014/12/the-popes-true-agenda

I don't so much mind the intellectual dishonesty of deluding oneself into believing Pope Francis is another Pope Benedict, I mean, it's irritating and all, but I have really run out of patience for the storyline that we don't have legitimate concerns as irrespective of the theological train wreck, Pope Francis himself is faithful to doctrine.

I pray often for our priests, bishops and Popes and I sincerely hope they make it through the pearly gates, but the idea that he could spend two years misleading souls, obstructing, discrediting and destroying catechesis, but we are supposed to put our fears to rest because he himself is faithfully practicing our religion-- sure is a doozy.

I am going to say this until I am blue in the face:  what people are upset about is the stuff their children, parents, relatives, friends are saying about Church teaching.   That is what us important here.  The man is a pope.  His job is to say things in such a way so the people listening become faithful.  What he is doing is causing the people we care about to reject Church teaching because they think he does.

At this juncture, I couldn't care less about his personal convictions, though I pray for the man.

As our Pope, what he is imparting to listeners is leading the people I love astray.

That is a lucid, rational and valid complaint, which I have the baptismal duty to raise in the public square.

Cardinal Burke's demotion was despicable, but he is a big boy and our fiat is martyrdom.  We say what we say knowing it could lead to a ride on the end of a shoe.   His sacrifice bore tremendous fruit.  Grateful Catholics have every right to let the Pope know we see what he is doing.

Pope Francis crossed the Rubicon with his show at the synod.  To suggest Catholics who have pinned his own rose on his nose are reacting to a demotion or anything other that the people on our own family who are being led into the hands of their demons, is getting old.

If you don't get why the pope is anathema in our own homes, we will be happy to explain it.   I think the time has come to stop writing silly articles

Pope Francis' Gift to the Catholic Family: Helping the political warriors who slay the soul and body

Excellent  analysis on the assistance Pope Francis and his circus of clowns have given to those slaying souls

It is indisputable that Pope Francis has encouraged immorality, contraception and abortion in the political world.

Making Church teaching the enemy of love and happiness and salvation has really panned out for him.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph should have tried getting chummy with Herod.  Instead of running away from the murdering political culture, perhaps invited Herod to the manger.

Surely Peter could have found common ground and forged a political pact so the people could elect Nero.

If only we could all love like Pope Francis.

The thing these seclar articles fail to recognize is, the political murderers the Pope is advancing to win his popularity contests are the very same powers that demoralize and slay souls - and that is his waterloo with Catholic mothers and fathers.

Blessed Advent

I am still knitting and preparing for Advent and Christmas, spending time with family, friends and in prayer. Hope you are all weathering the storm well.

The world has gone stark-raving mad, hasn't it?

Every time the Pope opens his mouth, he reveals himself. There is no shortage of evidence. LOL.

The kookery is starting to creep into homilies in unexpected places. I am too sick to my stomach to bear witness to the Tom Foolery at this juncture. Just keeping poor Christ company and building stamina for the battle ahead.

Keep your eyes peeled for the devil. He is in high gear. It is easy to miss his subtle presence and wiles. At times like these, it is wise to be proactive.

I am watching the celebrations of the destruction of the United States with much reluctance. The stupidity of the people is breathtaking.

I read a missive from the government yesterday that said the illegals would be getting social security and Medicare, etc. - making the economic collapse inevitable.

What does Cardinal O'Malley care?

He  doesn't have to make ends meet with our shrinking paychecks and rising burdens of the socialism that breaks the backs of working people until the entire country is poverty-stricken and we are all reliant on the tyrants of the communist politicians they swoon over.

These are the characters in the Gospel who set unbearable burdens upon the shoulders of the people without lifting a finger to help.   And, as they do it, they deprive the people of the teachings of the Church or worse, they twist and pervert them.

Did you see the latest from Pope Francis' appointee to oversee the salvation of his people in Chicago?

He states the Blessed Sacrament is good for politicians who lawyer up laws that execute infants.

That's right sirs.

Belly right up to sacreligious communion.

It will be as good for you as it was for Judas. And it couldn't happen to nicer people.

Watching the folly of their political publicity stunts, praising the outcome of the fifty years they spent destroying our country and now our Church sure gives me a special feeling.

Get the popcorn and lemonade for the three-ring circus in Rome. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Keep your powder dry kiddies and keep close to the Sacraments.
