I'm so sorry.

I would not put up with that kind of disrespect for the Sacrament and a Sanctuary that is reserving the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord for a nanosecond. Furthermore, the fact that he ignored you, tells you this is a priest with a heart and head made of stone. You could be perishing right in front of his eyes and he wouldn't care. Why on earth would you choose him as a pastor? It would be like choosing a physician for cancer who doesn't listen or see your symptoms, is able to process how and what to do and couldn't care less how that ultimately affects your quality and quantity of life.

This is a man who NEEDs to see how he is offending people and God - for the sake of his own soul. You did the right thing. The trick is, finding another parish to make your Sunday obligation...

You need a priest like this like you need a hole in the head.

What diocese are you in?

This you can take to the bank - Somewhere in every locus, there is a physician of souls. This Christ promised us. All you have to do is find him. He could be in a hospital, a school campus, some parish near by that you don't know about. It's comparing a dictator who is ethnic cleansing our poor and a man who is executing criminals. At this stage of the game, when there are real prolifers in the race, I felt it was important to express my reservations about Perry. There's something to be said about the heart and discretion of a man who would kill 300 people, even if they are criminals. Maybe it's because I just can't get beyond forcing teenage girls to accept promiscuity and be vaccinated against it. Something isn't right...TTChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08738875888053745269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-24366787735404432512011-09-19T09:18:13.712-04:002011-09-19T09:18:13.712-04:00Dear Carol,

It happened to be the student Mass and as the kids were filing in the priest (in his 70s) is up in the sanctuary, leaning against the altar, slurping down coffee and in between sips was setting the mug down on the altar. I tisked and an older lady turned around and asked what was wrong, I told her and she said, "Well, maybe it's just water..." "Whatever it is, it doesn't belong on the altar," I replied. Then he leaves the mug on the altar and walks off and forgets about it.

A few minutes later the servers and this priest walked past me to head to the back of the church to process down the main aisle. As the priest walked past me, I snapped, "You left your coffee on the altar, FATHER!" He ignored me. I left.

Am I nuts? Am I wrong to be outraged? In my opinion that is a sacrilege and I'm just not putting up with this crap any longer.Clark Whitneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07630428451834633733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-40092342705215332582011-09-18T23:30:01.385-04:002011-09-18T23:30:01.385-04:00Lemmee see - 300 criminals in 10 years. That'...Lemmee see - 300 criminals in 10 years. That's about 30 a year - and these are criminals who've been sentenced by trial. Contrast that with 3000 babies every day who have had no benefit of due process or any acknowledgement of personhood. I'm too tired to do the math to get a ratio, but we all get the picture.Restore-DC-Catholicismhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17478857915379063106noreply@blogger.com
