Looks like Cardinal Dolan and the Archdiocese of New York Recruited Voris' Past Sexual Partners to Go Public

If you haven't already watched, do take the time now to read the transcript or view the video.

Truly, this is a non-story. Nobody gives a rat's patoot.

Say what you will about diddling and heretical priests, they know exactly how to scorch the earth around whistleblowers to keep their debauchery going like the energizer bunny. They are experts at it. Slander and calumny are always their first line of defense. When that doesn't work they turn to bullying and threats. The best thing to do is keep your hand to the plow. Expose everything they say and do -- and it all backfires on them. They eventually give the gig up and realize that when corruption is exposed, the appropriate response is to take care of it so people will stop being harmed by it.

Cardinal Dolan has never had a real warrior in his diocese. He is used to Bill Donohue who has been coddling the corruption for decades. Mikey's got to put both of his hands back on the plow and forge ahead.

Agreed it's a non story. Just more proof how archdioceses break out the bully boys on people that don't tow the line. Here in Boston too.

We all need to say a prayer for him as well as Cardinal Dolan.

As Gov. Frank Keating stated:

"To act like La Cosa Nostra and hide and suppress, I think, is very unhealthy."

"To resist grand jury subpoenas, to suppress the names of offending clerics, to deny, to obfuscate, to explain away; that is the model of a criminal organization, not my church."

One enquiry, has anything really changed?

Like him or not, please pray for Michael Voris and his ministry; God bless him. The recent petty - and I trust fruitless - assault on him only convinces me that he is a 'saint' living among us .. and, God's grace willing with final perseverance, one day shall be recognised as one more honoured Saint on the altars of the Church (like so many other culturally 'difficult' souls, in the feisty spirit of his hero Ven John Fulton Sheen). His so very human flaws only make him more likable .. to those who understand the real difference between a flaw repented of and a wrong magnified as if a right.

God will use what the NY diocese means for evil and do in Michael and his apostolate what can only be accomplished by great humility. He is the example of one who has experienced Christ's great exchange of beauty for ashes. It's no surprise at all that the enemy would attempt to foil him by drudging up the past before his conversion...The devil is a liar and a thief; no light or goodness in him-- But how sick, how repulsive, that the NY diocese would come after a man whose only mission since his conversion is to do the very thing they can only dream about: evangelize.
Prayers for him. Chances are these days, if you are one proclaiming the truth's of the faith, you have a story to tell too.

Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.

A case of “he said, she said”?

New York archdiocese denies allegation that it sought to smear Michael Voris

Voris, editor of ChurchMilitant.com, said the archdiocese was seeking to discredit him

The Archdiocese of New York has said it is “absolutely, 100 per cent untrue” that it was preparing to smear the Catholic journalist Michael Voris.

Voris, the editor of ChurchMilitant.com, alleged that the archdiocese had been collecting information about his personal life before he became a Catholic.

In a post on the Church Militant website, Michael Voris wrote: “We have on very good authority from various sources that the New York archdiocese is collecting and preparing to quietly filter out details of my past life with the aim of publicly discrediting me, this apostolate and the work here.”

Voris said that in his 30s he had “lived a life of live-in relationships with homosexual men”, and that in his 20s he “had frequent sexual liaisons with both adult men and adult women”.

A spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York told the Catholic Herald: “It is absolutely, 100 per cent untrue that the archdiocese was collecting and preparing to release anything concerning him personally or his website.”

They also claim it is 100% untrue that there are any practicing homosexuals in their clergy...

Too funny.

Do you think there is anyone who believe the diocese would read the allegation they are up to their dirty tricks and say "well, it looks like we got caught red-handed trying to protect the mafia by scrounging up sex partners to disclose Michael's homosexual romps"?

"Bill Donohue who has been coddling the corruption for decades"

Really? I would have guess you would have liked Donahue...who appears to play for your team, no?

Some of the greatest sinners, when converted, make the greatest saints. Has not Our Lord said that they are ones most receptive of His mercy?

Anonymous,

Donohue's work is strictly in the secular cultural forum. Catholic wealth pays many apostolates to coddle corruption of priests and bishops. He is a player on that team. It is what it is.

“absolutely, 100 per cent untrue” ---- that means there is some truth to it...
