I'm Going In

An outstanding reflection from Fr. H.

He was inspired to write it after learning four Broward County deputies pulled up to Parkland Florida school where a madman was killing students and proceeded to protect themselves by crouching behind their parked cars. Many are calling for the resignation of the sheriff who has quite a history.

“You see?” (I told the men) … “those four officers, cowering behind their cars in the school parking lot, as they listened to the gunman kill one student after another, could not encapsulate more effectively what has gone on in our culture, especially in the past half century.”

A few years ago, Jeffrey Kuhner of the Washington Times wrote this …

“For the past 50 years, every major institution has been captured by the radical secular left. The media, Hollywood, TV, universities, public schools, theater, the arts, literature — they relentlessly promote the false gods of sexual hedonism and radical individualism. Conservatives have ceded the culture to the enemy. Tens of millions of unborn babies have been slaughtered; illegitimacy rates have soared; divorce has skyrocketed; pornography is rampant; drug use has exploded; sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS have killed millions; birth control is a way of life; sex outside of wedlock has become the norm; countless children have been permanently damaged — their innocence lost forever — because of the proliferation of broken homes; and sodomy and homosexuality are celebrated openly. America has become the new Babylon.”

“My brothers,” I said to those men, “this was under our watch.” “Why did this happen? Because we allowed it. We crouched behind our proverbial cars in our proverbial school parking lots, while we allowed lives to be lost.”

In our Church …

… we’ve cowered behind our proverbial cars while “passionate modernist Deists” gutted out anything that pointed to the supernatural power of God. A woman was the only one who seemed to stand against these destroyers. One, Mother Angelica. While we cowered behind our cars, Mother Angelica was about the only one who stood and, in essence, said,

“I’M GOING IN!”

Isn't that the truth. Mother Angelica was one of the first to 'go in' and fight the counterfeit church.

I saw a commercial today for a television show about polygamists. Mentally deranged people have a cottage industry going for themselves in Hollywood. Keep your fingers crossed Pope Francis doesn't get wind of the cultural traction polygamy is getting. They have the dixie cups lined up and they are ready to pour their koolaid.

It's really remarkable how much Mother Angelica accomplished. There was a time when her apostolate was one of the only sources of authentic Catholicity. Long before we were able to establish a solid presence on the internet. The counterfeit church was really taking root in the US. Catechesis and the Sacred Liturgy was a real mess. I had her network going 24/7. The cowardice in those days was disheartening. Things have changed but the counterfeit church got all the way to the Chair of Peter before corrupt bishops lost their power to recruit Catholic apostolates to cover up their spiritual crimes.

I wonder what EWTN's ratings were for Raymond's The World Over this week. For those of you who missed it, Raymond didn't skip a beat. He referenced 'certain threats', expressed his gratitude for the support and with a grin said "I'm still here". The Romans must be beside themselves.

Every apostolate within the Church is now writing about their attacks upon the Mystical Body of Christ. So happy to see this great article at the Register on Fr. Weinandy's talk.

In Ecclesia de Eucharistia, he said John Paul II “steadfastly holds that oneness is the fundamental and indispensable mark of the Church.” Father Weinandy then went on to note that, although the post-conciliar Church has been “rife with divisions,” there was never any doubt over where John Paul II and Benedict XVI stood regarding the Church’s “doctrine, morals, and liturgical practice.”

“Such is not the case, in many significant ways, within the present pontificate of Pope Francis,” Father Weinandy continued.

He praised Pope Francis, saying that “much” of his pontificate is “admirable and praiseworthy,” and noted in particular his “defense of the sanctity of life, his concern for the poor and the marginalized, and his encouragement to the young.”

But he also observed that “at times” the Holy Father appears to identify himself “not as the promoter of unity but as the agent of division,” and that his desire to — in the Pope’s own words — “make a mess” in the belief that a greater unifying good will emerge, is a cause for great concern.

Such an approach, he said, “strikes at very essence of the Petrine ministry as intended by Jesus and as continuously understood by the Church.” The Successor of St. Peter is the “consummate sign of the Church’s ecclesial communion” and so its principle defender, he added, and so if a pope even encourages doctrinal and moral divergences, he “undermines the whole of Vatican II’s teaching on ecclesial communion, as well as that of the entire magisterial and theological tradition going back to Ignatius.”
“By seeming to encourage doctrinal division and moral discord within the Church, the present pontificate has transgressed the foundational mark of the Church – her oneness,” Father Weinandy asserted, adding that in turn, this destabilizes the other three marks of the Church.

He said her apostolic nature is undermined when, with regard to Francis’ 2016 apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, he appears to “re-conceive and newly express” the apostolic faith and magisterial tradition in an “ambiguous manner,” puzzling the ecclesial community, and thereby contradicting “his own duties” by transgressing the trust of bishops, priests and the “entire faithful.”
“Ignatius would be dismayed by the situation,” Father Weinandy said.

“If, for him, heretical teaching espoused by those who are only loosely associated with the Church is destructive to the Church’s unity, how much more devastating is ambiguous teaching when authored by a bishop who is divinely charged to ensure ecclesial unity,” he said. “At least heresy is a clear denial of the apostolic faith and so can be clearly identified and as such properly addressed. Ambiguous teaching, precisely because of its murkiness, cannot be clearly identified, and so is even more troublesome for it fosters uncertainty as to how it is to be understood and thus how it is to be clarified.”

Father Weinandy said the magisterium “simply cannot fundamentally contradict itself concerning matters of faith and morals,” and even if the Pope might call it magisterial, it cannot be “precisely because it is not in accord with previous magisterial teaching.” Because Pope Francis’ ambiguous teaching “appears to fall outside” magisterial teaching, it’s a cause for concern because it “fosters division and disharmony rather than unity and peace within one apostolic Church,” he explained.

A little after-threat extry kick in the Roman pants story at the Register.

Last week, Pope Francis said his expectations for the Vatican II wingnuttery to take root would be 100 years and they were half-way to their goals. So there's a lot more coming down the pike.

Here is an excerpt from one of Pope Francis media spokespersons, Fr. James Martin:

I'll bet he was lying on a couch in the shrink's office when he heard that untruthful explanation of sexual attraction. He certainly doesn't seek solace and restitution of his soul in the moral theology of the Church.

There was a time when I was bewildered by the pilgrimage of a priest, bishop, Cardinal, pope to deter a soul from the absolution of sins. These are physicians with the cure to the effects of concupiscence. Why would they withhold it when they know the delay leads to diabolical disorientation and the loss of salvation? Why would an ordained man instead talk about a vocation of accompanying us on our road to sin?

They don't talk about delaying conversion and accompanying Catholics who don't believe in 'climate change', so they know delays damage a cause they believe in.

There's an urgency when they ask Catholics to support open borders and illegal immigration. There is no talk about accompaniment with Catholics who crusade for immigration bound with laws and safety.

There is no talk about accompanying pickpockets.

All the talk about obstructing the absolution of sin is always about ordained men keeping company with lust and adultery.

I never came up with a single rational reason they would want to delay absolution of the sins of our people.

The more they disclose their own thoughts and vices, it has finally dawned on me that they are not talking about accompanying us. Ordained men who jibber and jabber on about "accompaniment" are recruiting suckers to accompany THEM on their well-traveled road of lusting after forbidden fruit.

They've followed the advice of the serpent. With a tight grip on their apples, they're trying to convince every sucker in Paradise to take a bite with them. Misery loves company.

We have a huge mission ahead of us trying to prevent the uncatechized and diabolically disoriented from accepting their invitation.

The consensus in Christendom is deafening.

We're going in.

As wickedness increases, love is growing cold. Jesus Himself said that. We're living it. The End is not far off.

So many men have been and are heroes. These usually preserve the physical safety of the more vulnerable, women, children, and how many times have we seen men rescue unfortunate creatures, who find themselves in one kind of peril or another. Many! But Mother stepped in to save children spiritually, and all one needs to do is read Raymond Arroyo's book, the first one, about Mother's bio, to see how completely unlikely it was that she did what she did. She had no background in radio, but she walked into a radio station and said "I've got to have one of these". She learned it all, and there was no help from her superiors, the bishops. In fact, they often got in her way. The book is fantastic, a really good read.
Mother was one of a kind, and she absolutely impacted our family to the good. EWTN provided true Catholicism, there were faithful priests on all the time, and we learned. How much we owe her. Now this kerfuffle and threats to Raymond Arroyo. I maintain if EWTN sidelines him, they should all start watching the want ads, because EWTN will not continue too long if it ever happened. EWTN is a bit of an unknown on this really, which way will they go, mainstream madness? Or faithful Catholicism.
For a priest to have called for Raymond Arroyo to be fired, a man with a family, who has worked hard and paid his dues, is astonishing in it's hubris and callousness. These men no longer care to hide how ugly their souls are, they certainly feel on top of the world and unstoppable.

Thanks Carol. You do good work!

More and more, more folks are 'getting' Pope Francis and his diabolical Vatican II Church. Note today's article in The Catholic Thing by Fr. Schall.https://www.thecatholicthing.org/2018/02/27/on-being-catholic-2/

A thought. Our great Pope of Mercy shows no mercy to orthodox Catholic who insist on adhering to the our faith. And check out Phil Lawler's new book, 'Lost Shepherd'---How Pope Francis is misleading his flock.
