As a single woman who refrains from dating because men expect Catholic women to sleep around, I know its tempting to think it has all been a waste but that is the despair of the devil talking. I voluntarily and enthusiastically make that sacrifice because although sex is magnificent and guarantees some companionship of a guy, it pales in comparison to the companionship and intimacy Sanctifying Grace gives me with Christ and His Angels and Saints.

I remember once another single woman asking me how I tolerate being 'alone'. As God is my witness, I remember thinking 'what is she talking about, I'm not alone' - and then shockingly realizing I was!

Don't ever regret the fruit of Sanctifying Grace! You've got to make a life where you are with the people God surrounds you with.

It's hard not to agree with you that the Pope doesn't give a rat's ass about the spouses and children who get flushed down the drain with the three years of attempts to diminish the Sacrament of Marriage to dispensable. I expect God is going to get involved in the Pope Francis situation soon and He will be pleased with the folks who hung in there and tried to keep his Word. Remember, the Church is Christ's deal and He is NOT going to let it go down the drain. We have been assured of that.Michael Dowdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16650782589323136700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-7536069301594866532016-04-12T09:37:28.647-04:002016-04-12T09:37:28.647-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Aquahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06691722006352014613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-41925903117312933012016-04-11T17:10:25.087-04:002016-04-11T17:10:25.087-04:00I think I've already mentioned on here that Fr...I think I've already mentioned on here that Fr. While Church teachings haven't changed our suggested response to them has per Pope Francis who has decided they should be honored in the breach (pastoral heresy). Does this get him off the hook as a heretic? Not likely. It is ironic that Pope Francis has, by preserving Church teaching, maintained the very laws that will be used to convict him of pastoral heresy.Michael Dowdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16650782589323136700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-6322199290093327852016-04-10T15:44:39.273-04:002016-04-10T15:44:39.273-04:00The RC Church is dead. That is apparent since PF and his AL is supported by most of the Cardinals and bishops.

Most RCs will not give much heed to AL because it is, ho-hum, business as usual around here. Why bother to read it when we are already living it and have been for years. But now it can be brought out in the open.

Once again, I have been abandoned by the RC Church. The last 15 years I invested trying to co-parent and raise our son and maintain a sense of family have turned out to be wasted. Per PF/AL, I should have walked away and found a new spouse and began again. The RC Church has flushed my life and family down the drain.

Some say we need to just buckle down and pray, do the sacraments, and wait on the Lord. Such advice is hardly encouraging. I feel like a WWI soldier waiting to charge out again into No Mans land to be shot. It is like Groundhog Day only with (spiritual and emotional) DEATH.

The RC Church has surrendered its integrity with the publication of AL. Everything the Church has proclaimed now comes into question. If there can be such a gap now, then what has happened in the past and how can we know anymore if they are proclaiming the TRUTH? Who can be trusted?

I know I'm supposed to wait on the Lord and trust his timing even until my death. But I have been deeply wounded and I am tired. The answer to my prayers is and has been silence. Why am I torturing myself with trying to please this God who does not answer?

Where is this so called Good News I hear so much about? So far, it doesn't seem very good (unless you are a pagan or something).fREDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01808305520167870728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1015949969530867456.post-72495942795471373392016-04-10T13:14:36.605-04:002016-04-10T13:14:36.605-04:00Not sure. I don't know how much he experiences parish life in the Novus Ordo. And let us face it, most TLM families don't put themselves in the position of polygamy.

I get the sense he knows more than his writings reveal and he is putting the situation in the context he thinks is best for all concerned. I quickly dismissed this idea as a totally overblown, hysterical and dramatic exaggeration. I am not so very dismissive of this idea now.
