“[Shh.] Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.” — Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013
McManus demonstrates how the Catholic hierarchy not only is terminally isolated from any sense of accountability but also from any connection with its theological past!
did he actually say that? incredible. it utterly confirms my thesis that these guys are all still mired in the miasma of the 60s. it's like they've never stopped wearing bell bottoms while everyone else has long since moved on. real christians, in 2014, their lives don't matter but that foolhardy pastoral document Nostra Aetate still does. It's a true golden calf.
