It's the most wonderful time of the year!

As if we didn't have enough episcopal nincompoops giving us sensory overload with their sulfur, we must brace ourselves for news coverage of the USCCB Convention meeting in Baltimore. This year, we are 'celebrating' 100 years of their chestnuts.

I always find their arms-length observance of moral chaos, as if they have nothing to do with it, remarkable.

While the apostolic nuncio duly noted the catastrophic spiritual damage they have foisted upon the inhabitants of the earth with their divisive rhetoric, he seemed to be implying the Bishops have been stalwart warriors of Church teaching, telling them not to be discouraged with their epic failures. He called them to 'unity' without ever telling them what they are supposed to be unifying us all to. It does their widdle wounded hearts good to gather twice a year to hear meaningless proverbs and the pope's encouragement to 'carry on fellas'.

Their belligerent narcissism is intoxicating.

Nobody captured it better than Fr. Joe Wilson.

This episcopate will never do anything but spin the problems; won’t ever settle down to address the hard work of renewal. Watching the bishops’ conference in action is like viewing the film of a train wreck over and over again. With bright-colored clowns hanging out the train windows, waving and blowing kisses. One only wishes one had a tomato.

Came to your site from Canon212.com
Love the tomato line! :-) I watched the kick-off Mass the night before. I'd heard a wonderful and faithful expounding on the parable of the 10 virgins at my NO Mass, then heard a decent one in the EWTN Mass. But it was very striking to hear the Vatican Secretary of State, Cdl. Parolin, give his *homily* on the same parable to open the conference.
It was so UNgospel, so Pope Francis, and so POLITICAL it reeked! I'd liked to have a bushel of rotten tomatoes.

I just made the 'it reeked' about Parolin's homily but forgot to mention the word that came to mind as I listened to the bishops' conference on EWTN - BOONDOGGLE.

The USSB (Union of Soviet Socialist Bishops) have been heroic warriors all right: warriors for the acceptance of homosexuality, for funding abortion providers, for funding socialists, communists, Alinsky-ites and every other form of social malcontent...and now, of course, for casting incense before the outrageous, blasphemous and heretical agenda of Pope Francis. That is, they have surrendered to globalist Satanism.

Frankly I had a rotten day. Your first paragraph and Fr. Wilson's comment gave me my first real smile today. It's 4:28 p.m., but better late than never, so thank you.
We are completely fed up with the USCCB. We have nothing in common with those men anymore, and certainly not at all with the men in Rome. We will have nothing to do with any of them. What have we to do with apostates who would rather see our nations go Muslim than Christian, have no real concern for the pre-born, and kiss Bergolio's foot while he trashes the faith and the Church. Ugh. No.

Fr. Wilson wrote that in 2004! Still fits though, more than ever.

Anonymous, I admire you tenacity to watch the train wreck! I can't listen to a nanosecond of their drivel!
