Happy Halloweenie Kiddies

Hope you enjoyed the festivities with your children, enjoyed the trick or treaters and are watching creepy movies snuggled in front of a fireplace.

In the spirit of the evening, I have a few ghouls in the news feature this evening. Grab your barf bags and read on.

First, in the oldies but goodies department, we have a new blurb from the Voice of the Faithful.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Who in the name of Boris Karloff is still sitting at that four-sided table drinking that witches brew.

Just a few days ago, Voice of the Faithful joined with The Fellowship of Southern Illinois Laity, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP), and Call to Action to ask the an Illinois Diocese to stop an abused priest from saying mass. The Diocese of Peoria allowed Fr. Tom Szydlik to say mass with Bishop Daniel Jenky during a public ministry held on Friday. Fr. Szydlik has been accused of sexual abuse with an Edwardsville woman.
Sexual abuse with a full grown woman? Sorry, but it's the textbook story of how women are so dimwitted that when they fall under the influence of flattery and lies and sleep with an irresponsible man, they're not accountable for their part in the adultery. This woman is claiming that the same coercion that landed her perpendicular also landed her in the abortion clinic.

Cut the baloney. Really.

Take responsibility and be remorseful for your own actions. It matters not that a serpent grabbed you in a weak moment and lured you into a fugatz. Realistically, the "I was baited" excuse didn't work for Adam and it isn't going to work for you. Own up to your part, even when you've been tricked.

This must be the new litigation shtick. Here's another floozy who can't face herself in the mirror and the lawyers are sucking them all up into the vacuum.

She hopped into the sack with a priest and is now claiming she was taken advantage of. Boo Hoo. Cry me a river.

Admittedly, if the story is even remotely true, the priest is narcissist and a megalomaniac.

As part of the suit, she provided photographs of him — one of him shirtless and kneeling next to her bed, another of the two of them embraced on a Long Island beach and a third showing him clenching a rose in his mouth.

The relationship ended earlier this month, she said, after she received an e-mail from the priest telling her he had "developed a rash in his groin and legs and believed it was from his sexual liaisons with others."

Ugh. It doesn't get much more disgusting than that.

Still, I'm not one to believe people who take secret pictures of their sexual romps and then claim they were victimized. Using surveillance equipment during sex is the habit of nymph gutter trash and people who have extortion in the back of their heads.

The incredulity is made all the more insane by a Voice of the Faithful proposal that wants priests to have more sex.

Just writing because I know Fr. Szydlik personally, he's my priest. All that I know of him is a wonderful example for my family. I don't think that Fr. Szydlik abused anyone. I think it's entirely possible that he made a mistake, and a serious one. But, I see him as a dedicated priest that I would trust. We've all made mistakes and most of us serious ones here and there. Anyways thanks to anyone who reads. Please know that I pray for anyone that has been truely abused. Peace!!
