Fr. Corapi's Post Mortem

There is still a God in Heaven!

The American people have now made it abundantly clear who they want to lead them, and the policies and practices that this president-elect has represented for some time, they can now claim as their own. Actions have consequences, and I am sure God has duly noted what our priorities are in the US of A. Economic matters would seem to take precedence over moral matters; money more important than life itself to most people (I guess they don’t consider almost 50,000,000 innocent children murdered by abortion part of life).

Now we shall see what the fruit of such a tree will be. I predict that we won’t have to wait long. In recent months we have seen “corrections” in the stock market, housing market, and banking industries. Now we’ll see if God orchestrates a “correction” in a country and a world that has demonstrated quite clearly that it prefers convenience and wealth to life itself.

Regardless of whatever happens next, remember there is still a God in Heaven and He loves you. He is infinitely merciful—and He is infinitely just as well.

God Bless You

Fr. John Corapi

A good friend of mine recently came home from a trip to Austria where he was visiting his son who is doing his semester abroad for Franciscan University. He brought me home a beautiful set of Red Rosary beads. Said he picked the color to go along with the martyrdom we've been dabbling in and about to go into full throttle!

My friend made a good observation that is relfected in Fr. Corapi's message. When people suffer, they are sometimes offered the bread in the desert by the devil. When the empire does it, God usually intervenes.

Speaking of matyrdom, Bishop Ricard of Tallahassee, Florida has put up an excellent letter on his website which he wrote to Joe Biden in a "spirit of urgency" after reports Biden received the Blessed Sacrament unworthily which leaves nothing to the imagination.

Nice addition to the formal actions to protect mortal souls.

Hardly martyrdom but interesting just the same, even Francis George remarked about the misconceptions over the fiasco of their voting guide "Faithful Citizenship".

In working for the common good of our society, racial justice is one pillar of our social doctrine. Economic justice, especially for the poor both here and abroad, is another,” Cardinal George said. “But the Church comes also and always and everywhere with the memory, the conviction, that the Eternal Word of God became man, took flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, nine months before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. This truth is celebrated in our liturgy because it is branded into our spirit.”

Added Cardinal George, “The common good can never be adequately incarnated in any society when those waiting to be born can be legally killed at choice. If the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision that African Americans were other people’s property and somehow less than persons were still settled constitutional law, Mr. Obama would not be president of the United States. Today, as was the case a hundred and fifty years ago, common ground cannot be found by destroying the common good.”

They're getting up there in age, closer to their moment of accountability.
