It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

• Nationally, people are defending religious liberty against the Obama Administration havoc on consciences of Catholics and other prolife medical professionals who will be forced to quit their vocations should there be a national attack on medical civil liberties.

• In other news this week, Bill Clinton rationalized that Americans will support embryonic stem cell research so long as it's obvious nobody had any plans to take the embryos and fertilize them to become teensy tiny babies. This is the Rhodes Scholar.
  

• Earlier in the week, in the midst of the non-stop phone calls and emails regarding the Caritas situation, I received an email from somebody named "Honest Abe" who was forwarded my email:

Subject: i need your help...it's urgent please

Am in a hurry writing you this note,Just wanted to seek your help on something
very important, you are the only person i could reach at this point, and i hope
you come to my aid. Because something very terrible is happening to me now,i
need a favor from you now,I had a trip here in Malaysia on a mission.
Unfortunately for me all my money got stolen on my way to the hotel where i
lodged along with my bag were my passport was ,And since then i have been
without any money i am even owing the hotel here.

So i have limited access to emails for now, please i need you to lend me
about $2000 so i can make arrangements and return back please,i have spoken to
the embassy here but they are not responding to the matter effectively, I will
return the money back to you as soon as i get home, I am so confused right now.
I will be waiting to hear from you.

Occasionally, I'll visit the blog Against All Heresies, whom I assumed was this individual...but was obviously completely out of character. The lady who operates the blog seems like a sincere and faithful person and on the chance this was her husband and her family in trouble, I responded by saying I'd be happy to contact relatives and friends..etc. Who knows, maybe they were at the library and couldn't get their contact list from their account. You just don't know what kind of crazy things could happen in this world.

In any event, the individual's story got a little more elaborate and I returned his replies by saying they were in luck. I had contacted my brother-in-law who works for the CIA and just happens to be in Malaysia on a mission with two other agents and, to give me the location of his hotel and they will be there within a half hour to investigate and resolve the problem.

I'll bet you he found his wallet and passport because I never heard from him again.
This guy is out there in cyberspace, looking for suckers. Beware.

• Speaking of hijacking good will, I was surprised to see CWA among a group of rope-a-dopes meeting with Josh DuBois to "talk about how to reduce abortions". I know how to reduce them to a handful. Make them illegal. That's how we got rid of slavery.
