POWER TO THE PEOPLE, RIGHT ON!
I don't know what the communist symbol is on the left..but since it looked like an icecream, I thought it would compliment the Archdiocescan fist nicely.
While there is no freeken word on who impersonated Fr. Hehir on the infamous youtube, with the many people calling to the attention of Chancery officials that disciplining Fr. DiLorenzo is imprudent and would heighten the conflict over Hehir's abortion referrals, it appears the Cardinal reconsidered the disciplinary hearing scheduled today for Fr. Tom DiLorenzo. It was canceled.
There's a lot of naive people in our Church who want to believe that politely discussing material facts with the Cardinal and his staff, he will surely see the light. Cardinal O'Malley has been here for five years - many of us have been there/done that and have the t-shirts. Knock yourselves out. It takes experience to believe what is operating the machinery in the Archdiocese of Boston. Good faith and Truth are nowhere to be found. Just corruption and cowardice.
Coming up next week, a full blown effort to shut off the valve of money in the Cardinal's appeal until the National Catholic Bioethic Center's opinion on how far Catholics need to remove themselves when they subcontract killing people, is released.
I'm calling it the Holy Week Stimulus Package.
Stay tuned!

Good news on Fr. Tom.
I'm jolted by how this is being handled by Cardinal Sean.
Carol, I'd like to help with the "holy week stimulus package".
I belong to the Knights of Malta and the Knights of Columbus and would like to circulate whatever you send to my email groups. I've sent you an email. Please add me to your list.
Matt
p.s. I posted the below to Cardinal Sean's blog - Leila's post is also below

Many of us second Leila's post. Why would you need to hire an ethicist to opine on how many degrees of separation Catholics can put between the abortionists they've hired?
You are destroying your own credibility and the longer it goes on, trust in you is deteriorating rapidly.

Dear Cardinal Sean,
We don’t need a National Ethics Board to tell us that it is wrong for Christians to provide or contract to provide abortion, sterilization, contraception, or other so-called reproductive health services.
We do not need an Ethics Board to tell us that it is wrong to make us, as citizens of the Commonwealth, to pay for others to receive these services through our tax dollars, much less at the hands of a so-called Catholic Health Service!!
YOU should say it’s wrong. YOU are the bishop.
Carol,
You're linked in the comments section on Father Z's blog. Have you seen that?
anon,
Thanks for heads up on the post on Fr. Z's blog and much obliged to whoever posted it...
Matt, thanks - it's in the works. (I took Holy Week off to, in part, get the stimulus rolling!) Stay tuned...
Carol, Looks like Father Z scrapped the whole section on Boston, starting With Austin Fleming's receipe and including the Father Tom info.
Since money talks, I think it's appropriate that ours should be silently withheld pending some clear orthodox response from the Archdiocese. The Holy Week Stimulus sounds fitting.
It's sad to witness the official silence on Caritas situation while the push is on for money for the appeal, the men's and women's conference, and the "stop FOCA" postcard campaign. While these latter causes are certainly worthy, the former problem looms in the background: the elephant in the living room.
The Boston Catholic Men's/women's conference is coming up on the 18th and 19th. Would it be prudent to have some presence there?
Seriously, - I'd carry a sign etc. for the cause if called upon.
LCIB,
Definitely. Getting the dishonesty out there to 10 thousand of our target audience -- and get the "stimulus package" more traction...who in their right mind would pass that up??
I appreciate the offer for assistance.
