Cardinal O'Malley Retaliates Against Fr. Tom DiLorenzo

Word has been circulating now for a couple of days that Cardinal O'Malley has called in Fr. Tom DiLorenzo to talk about "his mental health" tomorrow, October 20th at 2:00pm.

Readers may remember that Fr. Tom was quite outspoken about Cardinal O'Malley's abortion contracts at the orchestration of Bryan Hehir and they tried to threaten and discipline Fr. Tom during the Caritas scandal. The Cardinal called off "the meeting" when a groundswell of prolifers let him know disciplining Fr. DiLorenzo for speaking out against his abortion contracts while letting dissenting priests have full freedom and reign is not going to fly.

Presuming the Caritas dust up has settled and he could quietly pull off a stunt to silence Fr. Tom, they've decided toss "mental health" concerns around to see if they can get enough momentum to yank him from ministry and silence him for good.

Cardinal O'Malley and his administrators retaliate and suppress those speaking out against bodily harm and corruption. This was the exact dynamic that permitted pedophiles to be protected and flourish.

It is alive and well in the Archdiocese of Boston.

Let's pray for a good outcome, but it sounds bad. Carol, could you post a number that people could call to protest if Fr. Tom is silenced?

May God bless Fr. Tom.
My suggestion would be to
negotiate a 6 month sabbatical to Rome, re-tool & re-form himself to
offer the Latin Mass.
He could also boldly tell his followers to reverently and quietly attend the Latin Mass for a period of ...cleansing.
If he does this His wonderful gifts of healing, praise and worship would still be intact and rightly ordered.
He could fill parish halls and auditoriums either before or after Mass. He also would be on the cutting edge of where Benedict appears to be leading us.
If Fr. Tom bucks heads he will become another footnote. Sean will absolutely play the obedience card and Rome will back the Cardinal.

"Be quiet children and be with me, there will come a time to celebrate." From Paul's letter to the Americans. ;)

Hi LCIB - always good to read your generous and good thoughts.

I'm not sure where you're coming from on this. The dispute was about Cardinal O'Malley's contract to kill children - hand the mothers over to abortionists with people he hired to kill the child's body and the mother's soul. Cardinal O'Malley was lying (and continues to lie about it) about it in the public square.

This is much more an egregious offense than the protecting and coddling of rapists.

To continue to tolerate this abuse of power - when we know victims are being taken at the hands of an Archbishop and priests who speak out against it are silenced by false accusations and removals - etc. - - this to me is one of the most offensive things to God that ever happened to His Mystical Body.

Rome can no longer continue to back up the actions of prelates who are victimizing women and children and punishing people who speak out against it. We must not tolerate it either.

Love to you and yours!

Carol

Gee, do you think the Cardinal will have a photo of the meeting on his blog? :-)
The phone number for the Chancery is 617-779-3820.

Walter Cuenin has his own radio show and pulpit on the friendly turf of Brandeis. Austin Fleming is building his own little cult of personality with his blog (lest any thought of his go unpublished!) If these guys are free to push their anti-church, pro-gay propoganda, what's wrong with Tom DiLorenzo working tirelessly for the pro-life cause? Frankly, I'm ready to pick up a pitchfork and head for the chancery.

Exactly.

Or how about Steve Josoma and Ron Coyne?

Many of these men are long known to have lovers and/or picking up men in gay bars. Not only are they not called into the Chancery, Cardinal O'Malley advances these men in his administration - appoints them to positions of counsel and authority and protects them when complaints come into the Chancery.

What is it about heterosexual prolifers that compels the Cardinal to silence them while putting a dog and pony show up on his blog?

If we don't stand up for priests who are loyal to the Magisterium in this environment shame on us.

Enough is enough.

It's Fag Town USA.
I do get it. Caritas, dead babies
formal Catholic involvement etc.

I firmly believe we are way out gunned on this one. Letter writing and protests are no match for "the Old Boy". Sodomite clergy and their protectors are doing the devils work.

I've given Sean to St. Joseph in the hope that St. Joe's advocacy will keep him from the lake of fire.

Re: Dearest Fr. Tom
The guy was at St. John's at the height of its depravity. I can only imagine the reality of spiritual battle he has seen and survived.

The spiritual battle has now turned. I think Fr. Tom should take a nice rest under the mantle of The Blessed Mother. The Benedict I know would gladly wash his feet. I would no longer worry about the girly men from the Chancellery.

Carol - you can buy the morning after pill (an abortoficient) over the counter! It is done. Herod is in town and hunting for meat. 20% of American babies are aborted, and Sean wants to chit chat with Fidel Castro about continooooing inJuuuuustiiiicessssss in Cuuuubaaa.

The only reason Fr. Tom is on the radar in Bean town is that he is a political liability. I suggest he step out of politics and be the holy man he is.

The best retaliation for Sean would be a large poster size picture of him outside the abortion clinics.
Standing vigil 'photographically'.
...He'd unravel.

LCIB,

I agree that this is beyond us -- but it always has been. Rolling over is not an option. St Catherine of Sienna hightailed it to France and dragged the Pope back to Rome by the hair on his head.

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power:
2
proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.
3
For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, 2 will accumulate teachers
4
and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths.
5
But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry.

I dont' see anything in the Bible that says when the going gets tough, ride it out under the radar.

n.b. This sinner has a really hard time processing thoughts when words like "fag" and "sodomite" are used. I have a hard time getting by them. When people use those terms, it feels like their positions are not really about doctrine--but about a malice towards sinners. You're smart, holy and kind - please make your points without using those words here.

I agree with the comment by Lead Us Not Into Temptation. The "fag" and "sodomite" comments, and the conceited "Last Catholic in Boston" moniker reflect a level of malice, anger, envy, and pride that is disturbing and un-Catholic to say the least --- all so he can show us that he cares more than the rest of the Catholics in Boston for the innocent babies? As bad as abortion is, I don't think we are justified in committing half of the Cardinal Sins in our postings as we come to their defense. Cardinal Sean (Yes, it is normal and considered respectful for a Catholic to use the title "Cardinal" when referring to this successor of the apostles) is the spiritual head, the Father, the Dad, of this Last Catholic in Boston, just as he is my Good Shepherd and Shepherd to over 1.8 million of us. Catholics should have a certain respect towards their fathers, whether LCIB thinks he deserves it or not. I am grateful to God for giving us Cardinal Sean. He has shown great leadership and sacrifice in leading us in these Culture Wars in spite of the crap he has to take from guys like LCIB. I have admired the leadership and voice that he has used frequently to make the Pro-Life presence of Christ known throughout the diocese and country, and I have also admired his ability to be patient and kind toward all.

Dear Just One..,

What little I know of LCIB and his family, he'll be in Heaven a long time before I will.

With respect to the Cardinal, something tells me your vocation is prayer rather than hands-on defense of faith and children. While the Cardinal uses his blog and the press to give the impression he is pro-life - this is just a show for the Vatican. His private actions are as consistent as Jekyl and Hyde. He orchestrated his own contracts with abortionists and gave the go ahead and promises to send women to those abortionists in return for large infusions of cash into Caritas. He is the worst leader in the Catholic Church in this century - including Bishop Gumbleton. I have no respect for a man who is a contract killer of children - and expecially one that is out in the public square acting like he's the next St. Francis.

God Bless.
