Bishops Deeply Disappointed in Senate Vote

Deeply Disappointed?

Suffering Saints.

Deeply disappointed is something you say to Uncle Vinny when he gets drunk at the Christmas party knocks over your tree.

You're deeply disappointed when you find out nobody is selling tinsel for your tree.

Cardinal George concluded: “While we deplore the Senate’s refusal to adopt the Nelson-Hatch-Casey amendment, we remain hopeful that the protections overwhelmingly passed by the House will be incorporated into needed reform legislation. Failure to exclude abortion funding will turn allies into adversaries and require us and others to oppose this bill because it abandons both principle and precedent.”

Opposing the bill after it's passed - well, let's just say that and five dollars will get you cup of chai at Starbucks.

It's the eleventh hour. The time has come to draw the line in the sand.

Send out a press release stating if the Senate passes a bill that will lead to withholding medical treatment from the elderly and sick and abortions on demand, the following Catholic Hospitals will shutter it's doors upon it's effect - and then list them.

Again, too little too late. Guess they believe the Pres when he said he wouldn't sign a bill with Fed. funds paying for abortions? AH, Come Lord Jesus Come!
