From the Magnificat
Loving Father,
During this sacred season of penance,
we thank you for your many gifts,
especially for our trials and sufferings.
The Cross of your Son reveals the depths of your love for us.
As we come together to share this meal,
bless us with that love,
Purify the grace we pray
so that we may see how everything is grace.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord
