BlackSheepDog Responds to SOLT

I thought we'd have a bit of a respite on this one...but here is Fr. Corapi's response.

SOLT supported and profited from his financial independence. Check.

SOLT'S claims that they are shocked, shocked I tell you, to find Fr. Corapi's plentiful bounty did not resonate with me.

This is as good as it gets.

I won't get into all the merits and omissions but here are a few of my observations:

The refusal to cooperate with the flawed process.

The process is definitely flawed....but... 'if the bad guy were truly revealed it may be revealed he is really not that bad' and 'the evidence must not have any substance' seems to leave an awful of of questions in his mind and room to pull the cord of a golden parachute.

SOLT'S claim of sexual impropriety.

Never had sex with her. Never.

Who her?
A celibate priest living with a prostitute?
How about outside of her?
What about the sexting?
What about the drinking and drugs?

Two things still strike me.

If I were guilty of the allegations an accuser brings forth, the last thing I would do would be to bring it to civil court where I would be open to subpoena and discovery.

How could a guy be so completely immersed in the truth and be living a sinister life. The Holy Spirit doesn't work this way. The further your soul gets away from Him, the more your judgment is clouded, the more you muck up in the public square.

It has the stink of the devil but it may not be what we see on its face. Then again it may be. Very, very strange.

Prayers for all involved.

I'm at the point where I don't care if he had multiple crack smoking orgies with hookers, I would hope to God I never act like these 'catholic' bloggers, laughing and stomping on a preist when he's down. They been exposed as much as father Corapi has.

They can't both be telling the truth. Someone is lying.

This fiasco reminds me of the Fr. Eugene Clark affair in the Archdiocese of New York a few years back. Anyone here remember that?

Jasper, agree about the frenzied pace of the scoundrels and vultures to rush to judgment before any facts were known.

TTC said...

Veronica, I don't remember that one. What happened?

Jasper, I agree with you. That's what I meant the other day when I wrote that this has opened my eyes, not only to my own poor behavior but I also saw very clearly why the Church is in the state she is in.

With Catholics like this, what else can be expected?

Carol, it was less than ten years ago, and relying on my ever increasing poor memory, I can just sketch the facts for you.

If I recall, Fr. Clark had given one Sunday in St. Patrick's Cathedral a sermon railing against the homosexuals. A few months later, he was accused by his secretary's husband (allegedly a retired private investigator or detective or something) of having an on-going affair with his wife, Fr. Clark's secretary.

Fr. Clark was at one time stationed at St. Agnes Church which was one of two or three churches in NYC that actually had the old Mass every Sunday when no one else would even think of it. He was a good priest and quite outspoken.

Of course, he denied the allegations, but the whole mess did him in for good.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I distinctly remember reading somewhere that before all of this about Fr. Corapi broke, he had given a talk somewhere railing against the homosexuals. Do you know if this is true, Carol?

The vitriol of the brood of vipers not just to condemn Corapi before the facts were in, but the stalking sociopathic behavior perpetrated on Catholics taking the charitable approach of waiting until they had some facts, was breathtaking.

Prayer and prudence is actually threatening to them.

Carol, as one of your cult's faithful minions, I would like to make a suggestion.

Could we please change the flavor of the Kool-Aid from grape to lemon-lime? It's much more refreshing during these hot, humid summer days, don't you think?

I await your response with trepidation.

;D

Joseph,

Wait a minute, I have to adjust my tiara...
...There we go.

You've been reading here long enough to know I would never pass out drinks that are nothing but processed chemicals.

Perrier with a twist of lime for the intellectual prisoners of The Tenth Crusade.

Veronica - I remember the Clark case very well - he was one of EWTN's favorites. His story actually took me by surprise - because I thought he was too old for sex - I'm not sure Viagra was manufactured at the time or not.

Carol, do you know the answer to my questioin?

You make a good point Veronica, I'm sure Fr. Corapi spoke many times about homosexuals. I tend to believe Fr. & Carol your right, why would he bring suit against his accuser in Court? For those scouffers read Agent 1025, it's not so far off!

I'm not sure Veronica, but early on Father Corapi in his cathicsm series said that homosexuals should be treated with compassion and diginty, love the sinner, hate the sin. Father C taught from the Cathicism and never strayed, he was an excellent teacher. I really don't know why the professional Catholic hated him, probably because he went after Obama on his dismal abortion record.

As I peruse the Catholic commentariat, still at it, and the supreme tribunal at work, I am made to think of Mary Magdalen:

“I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”

Sin in the Providence of God
John Hardosn SJ

"Remember the self-righteous Simon, the Pharisee, he was one of those who considered himself quite sinless because he kept the external regulations of the law. Whereas the sinful woman had no illusions about her state of soul, she knew she had gravely sinned. Let us listen to Jesus, “Simon”, our Lord said, “you see this woman? I came to your house and you poured no water over my feet, but she has poured out her tears over my feet and wiped them away with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but she has been covering my feet with kisses ever since I came in. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. For this reason I tell you that her sins, her many sins, have been forgiven her or she would not have shown such great love. It is a person who is forgiven little who shows little love”, unquote Jesus. St. Luke, the evangelist of God’s mercy, could not have been more plain.FORGIVEN SIN INSPIRES EXTRAVAGANT LOVE , let me repeat, forgiven sin inspires extravagant love...What does God want from us? He wants from us what we mainly want from Him, in one word, MERCY".

Veronica,

I don't know the answers. I doubt it. His statement does not adequately address the conduct SOLT says they found proof of in emails, etc. He said he would talk about the dust up over the next week, so perhaps he is putting something of substance together.

But, narcissists and sociopaths who will pile one lie on top of another, they exist.

God will sort this us in good time and as he reveals facts, we accept them. Meanwhile, we pray.

The problem, as I see it, are the narcissists on the other end of the spectrum - in blogosphere - who will use the moment to hold their own trials and tribunals before they have any real facts.

They have shown who and what they are - just another set of narcissists and sociopaths.

The devil is prowling in the camp of the elect, guard your soul.

The most telling part of this whole video (over and above the Harley jacket, and Ming-the-Merciless appearance) was the last 2 seconds of him on camera....look at his eyes...just look at the final expression and his eyes...it made my blood run cold...a soul in great danger.

TTC said...

I also noted that final expression and played the ending several times. Disturbing.

The toxicity of the animus people have sent his way has got to be quite a spiritual tsunami.

"Jasper, agree about the frenzied pace of the scoundrels and vultures to rush to judgment before any facts were known."

That's precisely what you did Carol. You accused Corapi's accusers of engaging in "bullsheet."

YOU rushed to judgment. Without sufficient facts, you came to the determination that the accusations were "bullsheet."

Innocent until proven guilty does not mean calling the accusers "liars."

TTC said...

Listen, Adele, stop stalking this site. I have had enough of you and the crew of thugs enabling you.

You have no right, none, to insist that other Catholics come to a conclusion about guilt and you are out there making an ass out of yourself about the color of his beard, insisting Catholics join you.

That is the bullsheet. YOU insisting that other Catholics come to a conclusion on accused priests LONG before anyone has any facts. Get what I mean by bullsheet? You are so full of it from the tip of your toes to the hair on your head, if you were standing in a room full of dung, we wouldn't be able to see you.

You've had your say now dozens of times and dozens of times I have corrected your false assertions. Hundreds of times, you have kept me tethered to my blog deleting your consecutive posts for hours. It is sick to do that to another human being.

Get help, get off the internet and take care of your children.

We will not engage in your viciousness campaigns to condemn an accused before we have some material facts. Even secular law affords the accused as much.

This is my blog, I want you to stop posting here. It has been months now andi am done dealing with your sociopathic and psychotic behavior. Don't blame it on the devils, Eutneuer or anyone else. YOU are accountable for your own behavior.

TTC said...

Am I making myself clear Adele?

Stop posting here.

As for the civil court situation, Fr. Corapi has been smart about staying on the offensive and ahead of the game as much as he can. He revealed this whole situation first, and that was a brilliant move, but it blew up in his face when he just wouldn't shut up and started bad mouthing others.

If you ask me, Fr. Corapi HAS been mucking up in the public square for awhile now. Some family members of mine paid tickets to see him preach and he went on and on about nightmares of people chasing him, being set up to make it "look like" he had been with a prostitute. (Once again, very clever move on his part because he was portraying himself as the victim and setting us all up psychologically) He sure does talk a lot about himself lately and how he can't just "lay down and die", a mantra I'm so tired of hearing because he was only asked to return to his Order and live quietly as a priest. I suppose that as a wife and mother, If I don't have my own reality show, and make millions, my vocation is just worthless?
What upsets me most is not that he may have returned to sinful ways, but that he is trashing the vocation of the priesthood in the public square. The bloggers aren't doing this to him. He is doing it himself so he can continue to live a life of luxury as a businessman instead. Wake up everyone! There are lots of people who have preached the truth that have turned out to be hypocrites. The truth is still in the message, just not necessarily lived out by the messenger. Our Lord unmasked hypocrites. This time Our Lord did not have to. Father Corapi is unmasking himself everytime he makes another public statement.
Very sad times. - Carol
