Corinthians 1

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

I apologize for the radio silence. It had been several years since I paid a visit to my beloved D.C., so I accepted the gracious invitation of friends to stay in their lovely home in the area. Several days of orthodox priests and liturgies, museums, great food, the fruit of Virginia vineyards, the fellowship of solid, orthodox Catholics, prayer, laughter and love (blissfully) kept me from my appointed rounds in blogosphere.

"Thank you" doesn't say enough about the witness of Suzy and Keith..their dedication to our faith, the Sacraments, their generosity, kindness, affection and love for each other, Christ, and all who cross their path. They are Corinthians 1:13.

I also met our friend Maria and she is every bit as lovely as she is in our comments box.

Enriched and rested (and five pounds later!), I am back. I have a lot to catch up on. I know you just can't wait to tune back into what McKinley think about this or that!

A lot of things in the queue...like how creepy it feels to open your luggage to see a little note from Homeland Security saying they opened up your luggage and rifled through the contents of your suitcase. Or, driving by the IBEW union hall to see the message "Occupy Boston" in neon lights. The government just isn't giving enough free stuff to people who don't want to work to buy their stuff.

In the meantime, please do forgive any delays in responding to emails.

Carol and company could not have been any nicer, Veronia. I just wish all the naysayers at Abbey Roads might have had the chance to meet Carol. We had such a wondeful time!

I was turned off to that place months ago, Maria, so I do not know what they say or don't say about Carol.

In any event, I was wondering about you and if you are all right since I hadn't "seen" you here. Prayed for you too, dear Maria!

Too bad I didn't live in the east coast vicinity - we could've ALL gotten together and had a real gabfest!

It is too bad, Veonica. I am great. I started a new job about a month ago so I don't have as much time on my hands :) Thanks so much for keeping me in your prayers!

I am glad that you found another job, and you are most fortunate to have done so!

Keep me in your good prayers as well, Maria.
