"I believe the federal government has grown out of control, threatening the rights, liberties, and property of the people," Thomas said.
Thomas, described as a political conservative and talk show enthusiast, said his action was not directed at President Obama himself, saying all of government is abusing its power.
"This is being done at the executive, legislative, and judicial level," Thomas said. "This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the federal government."
Thomas added:
"Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a free citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an individual."

Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli said Thomas' position does not reflect the views of the team, but he will not suspend Thomas.
Isn't that nice of them?
Having an unfavorable opinion of the Obama Administration won't cause anybody to be disciplined at their job.
There are two of us in Massachusetts that are very relieved about this!

Thank you, Tim Thomas. I would hope that all good men would do the same thing. Most of us have better things to do than to pay homage to political ego-maniacs, especially the pro-abortion kind.
The "honor" of winning the championship was all accomplished in the hockey arena. There is little or no "honor" that a mere politician can add to that. I really do not see why the other players felt it necessary to go there in the first place. What is the attraction?

For the first time in a long time, I have found someone in Boston I can feel proud of. What does the average Bruins fan think of Tim Thomas? I wonder.
Outside of Boston, it is impossible to fathom why so many people there, especially the Catholics, seem to have no limits to their blind adulation of pro-abortion politicians. It seems impossible, but some Bostonians voted or, fawned over, and admired the pro-abortion Kennedy clan.
I hope Tim Thomas is not the only one in Boston that thinks like a grown-up.
