Bishop Lennon Knows How to Pick 'Em

When our resident Catechist passed this doozy from Cleveland along, it reminded me of something that happened years ago.

After several years of taking a bishop to the shed on numerous things, a white flag appeared on his marble arch.

When I met with him, I was explaining the ramifications of some moonbat program or policy and he began to grin like the cat that swallowed the canary.

Me: "I don't understand why it takes ten years and thousands of people before the lights go on at the Chancery"

The Bishop: "Bishops are not the sharpest tools in the shed" We are really not."

Me: "I'm not sure.  If stupid was the problem, when Bishops want to bring money into the coffers, they wouldn't know enough not to recruit their finance staff from the defendant lists in bankruptcy courts. Why hire morally bankrupt people to bring people into the pews? It doesn't take an Einstein to know the sin that is taught will empty the pews. Might the problem be... vanity?"

The Bishops are reaping the harvest of thirty years worth of hiring the ethnic cleansing crowd, but they keep on keeping on.

Vanitas vanitatum, et omnia vanitas.

I think you meant to write "faith" rather than "ethnic cleansing" as the harvest of what the bishops are reaping for 30 years of hiring such ilk. Nonetheless, ethnic cleansing was accomplished during and before the same period with the destruction of ethnic neighborhoods through urban renewal (see E. Michael Jones book, The Slaughter of Cities: Urban Renewal As Ethnic Cleansing) and specifically in Boston with forced busing of public school students for racial balance.
