For the first time since the 1991 Gulf War against Iraq, a siren blared Wednesday in Tel Aviv warning of a possible incoming rocket that may have been an improved, longer-range missile.
People ran for cover while others seemed bemused by the wail. An explosion was heard by some on the outskirts of the city. There were people in the streets who were bemused as the rockets were exploding.
Truly nuts.
These comments resonated with me:
Yam Umi, a 30-year-old artist, was walking her dog in the street and said she was irritated with the aggression of both sides. The indifference is what's scaring me too.
"I'm more afraid of indifference of the people. The war has become an integral part of our life," she said.
