MA Knights of Columbus Passive`Aggressive Screed

Over the past 24 hours, Catholics received word that organizers of Boston's public orgy on parade floats were being added to the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Boston now has two gay sex pride parades, one of them with the Catholic patron Saint of Boston's name on it.

The parade has turned into a political and cultural public event for anti-Catholic bigotry:

"We were wicked proud and delighted," said Sylvain Bruni, president of Boston Pride which organizes the annual June parade that includes as many as 22,000 marchers.

"Their decision which apparently was unanimous to allow us to march shows great progress ... really a historic moment where things are turning."

"I think the message is that there are a lot of changes happening in South Boston," said Bruni, who could not predict how many of their members will actually march since they only began spreading the word 24 hours ago.

Sen. Edward Markey, D-MA, said Friday he will be marching as well as Gov. Charlie Baker, Rep. Seth Moulton, D-MA, and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.

Bruni said they also have invited Angela Menino to join them Sunday. Her husband, Tom Menino, the former mayor, had refused for over two decades to march in the parade because of its past policy.

ISIS must be busy.

The latest development made it indisputable that the Massachusetts Knights of Columbus were marching with their capes, swords and hats with feathers to 'showcase their good works' and 'recruit members' in an anti-Catholic gay pride parade.

Yesterday, Brian Canemaker reported that MA KofC State Deputy Russell Steinbach told him that Catholics pulling out of the parade 'had their beliefs' and he has his own beliefs.

We read him Br. Dalton’s quote, “Catholics are forbidden to sponsor or even participate in an event which openly promotes unnatural and immoral behavior.” We asked him if he agrees with it.

“They have their Catholic beliefs and I have my beliefs,” Steinback answered. He wouldn’t elaborate beyond that. And he reiterated that he wasn’t changing his mind about the Knights of Columbus being in the parade.

Sure enough, on Wednesday evening we were notified that Steinbeck had sent out another email to his statewide members, again inviting them to come and march in the parade on Sunday – and to be sure and bring their families to this “family friendly” event!

Apparently, the beliefs of the Catholic Church are irrelevant when Russel Steinbach makes leadership judgments on appropriate involvement of a Catholic apostolate.

But, somebody pulled his plug as they announced the Knights are withdrawing, but the announcement is quite a little passive-aggressive screed.

You see, they only wanted to honor the great St. Patrick and the contributions of Irish Catholics at a family event of unity and celebration.

The Massachusetts State Council of the Knights of Columbus had planned to march in the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade as a Catholic witness, to honor this great Catholic saint and in gratitude for the contributions of Irish Americans to the history of our country. We did so in the belief that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade would be an occasion for unity and celebration in the city of Boston. We deeply regret that some (that would be us) have decided to use this occasion to further the narrow objectives of certain special interests (the teachings of the Catholic Church), which has subjected this occasion to undeserved division and controversy (The Knights didn't want to march and threatened to resign). In addition, certain groups have chosen to misrepresent our reason for marching, insisting that we were participating in the parade to support another group or for political reasons. Such allegations are complete fabrications and have no basis in reality whatsoever. Because the parade has become politicized and divisive, and because of the misrepresentation of our motive for participating, we will not be marching in this year’s parade. Instead we invite Catholics to join us in prayer to celebrate St. Patrick during the hours of the parade.

Right. Because the Knights of Columbus marching in an antiCatholic fornication parade couldn't be the stupid idea that subjected the occasion into something divisive.

They just couldn't be mean and own up to their mistake.

What a pathetic excuse for leadership in a Catholic apostolate.

Somebody better keep an eye on them as Plan B for the family unity event could be a strip club on LaGrange Street.

n.b.

A huge thank you to the Brothers and families of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, CJ, Pewsitter, Michael Voris and Church Militant TV, Mary Ann Krietzer, Janet Baker, and Knight members who let the leadership know the Knights of Columbus had no business marching in a clapping fornication parade.

Next: Getting our Catholic Saint's name off of that parade.

Sincere gratitude to The Tenth Crusade for authentic Orthodox Catholicism in the face of the distorted , disoriented and diabolical confusion being thrust on the faithful.
