That's what the author of this article claims and I couldn't agree more.
"...Ireland will be looking at a new church, humbled in the aftermath of revelations of child sex-abuse but determined to stay relevant by charting a new course, one that some say is modeled on Pope Francis’ efforts to revitalize worldwide Catholicism..."
There's a new marketing plan to damage control ordaining and protecting pedophiles: Shepherding Catholics to have same sex.
How the Catholic Church won friends and influenced people through evangelizing the virtue of clapping fornication.
Let's be honest. It has resulted in an awful lot of people liking Pope Francis and it certainly has his picture published on the cover of magazines at least as often as Bruce Jenner.
However, those of us who see and understand the consequences of this marketing plan keep responding with a valuable lesson we learned as children about deception - Gradmmmmmmaaaaa, what big teeth you have!!!
Here's a quote from a wolf that doesn't really capture the fragrance of Pope Francis' papacy:
“[Francis] is a man who speaks about ordinary things: about mercy, about love, fun, smiling. Not about condemning this or that."
But that is simply not true, is it.
The Holy Father condemns mothers who risk the environment with their openness to life. He condemns moral theology of the Church. He condemns right judgment. He condemns 2000 years of Popes before him. He condemned people who recite the Creed. He condemns Catholics who fled to Summorum Pontificum to protect their children from the disordered priests he refuses to rightly order and shepherd.
There's a mother list of condemnations.
With an entire country full of Irish people at risk of being led by the nose into an abyss, I kept refreshing my browser this week to see if Pope Francis would say something to "pastor" them into a rightly order conscience. The situation is an indictment of the scores of ordained homosexuals who have led his people into moral chaos and temptation.
With all the minutia he spends his time commenting upon, one would think an entire country full of souls and the generations that will follow would be worth at attempt to save.
But he and his administration focused on litter and smog.
A little fresh air while committing adultery will keep Catholics on the road to salvation, that's what I always say.
I will spare you my own sentiments about the Holy Father's silence as my people walk like zombies into a devil's trap, and my disgust with his priority of worldly intellectual debates about the nonexistent 'global warming'.
I also found the above quote interesting because it resonates with something Pope Francis said earlier this week which instructed bishops not to catechize Catholics, just be a 'pastor' to them.
Pope Francis has told bishops to act more like pastors than “pilots” telling the faithful what to do.
He seems to be confusing the role of a physician of souls with the jugglers and clowns at Barnum and Bailey's circus.
What good is a 'pastor' who won't show you the right path to salvation?
Pastors like that we will meet in hell.
At the time of writing of this post, the result of the referendum isn't in. Please continue to keep the ignorant, uncatechized and demoralized Catholics of Ireland in your prayers.
UPDATE
The referendum passed.
Thank you Pope Francis for the two years of instructing the woman at the well about smiling and smog while appointing Cardinal Marx and Cardinal Kasper to testify to her the allegation you perceive virtue in same sex and giving her the witness of Rev Timothy Radcliffe to blaspheme the Sacred Eucharist as sodomy.
That really helped us all out.
As you appoint heretics and the devil is misleads your people with unprecedented power, perhaps you could next pastor them into the ancient debate about the earth being flat.
The ridiculousness is a gift that keeps on giving.
All I can think of at this moment are words from Mother Teresa of Calcutta:
“We the willing,
led by the unknowing,
are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
We have done so much,
with so little,
for so long,
we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing.”

The results are in. Being overrun with Snakes again!
If it didn't pass this time, there would have been more referendums or it would have gone to the courts until gay marriage became law. It was inevitable. That is how these people operate - they keep pushing until they win one way or another - they have the will and the resources. It is amazing to me how focused the world is on an issue that ultimately involves such a small percentage of people. Here in Canada vey few gays actually do marry even though they have been able to for ten years.
To paraphrase a bit from Galatians 6:7-8: One reaps what they sow, if one sows in the 'field of the flesh' (promotes, condones, participates in sin), the one reaps corruption. And this is happening in our Church to the top. And the wolves are having a field day among the sheep. Our former shepherd, Pope Benedict, asked us to pray that he would not flee from the wolves but I guess we did not pray enough for he did indeed flee and leave us prey.
62% approved. Only 1 constituency out of 43 objected.

Thank you for the much needed laugh. It is important to keep a sense of humor even though it is getting harder to do and there really isn't anything to laugh at anymore. It's a Catholic's worst nightmare is what it all is.
It took the great Anglo-Irish Protestant poet William Butler Yeats to eloquently express the reality of the state of alleged "catholic Ireland":
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned.
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.[
Ireland gave the excuse of the 'Priest Scandal' for not going to Mass anymore, and now they've voted overwhelmingly to legalize sodomy?
Ha!! 'We got rid of Stalin, now we're bringing in Hitler'.
St. Patrick save Ireland again
St. Patrick save Ireland again
I like the headline at Creative Minority: Ireland sends God a message......they draw a big circle with a red X in the middle that says: 'Send meteor here'.
For the first time, I feel in my gut the gnawing fear that things are worse than we could possibly imagine. Let me put it this way. It looks like we have a Pope who is Catholic in only the most irrelevant ways.
always scares me when obama says he loves this pope. It makes my hair stand up!
