Fr. McCloskey's Intro to Lord of the World
Every once in a while you come across something that takes you deep into the spiritual world - the invisible world - and confirms something we see but nobody really wants to say out loud. Fr. Rutler, Bishop Fulton Sheen, St. John Paul II's writings have always struck a chord for me.
I came across this into of Lord of the World from Fr. McCloskey that fits the genre. It's a brief but well-done description of Church teaching on the antichrist and commentary that gives some perspective.
Nothing new, just a refresher on things I hadn't read in a while which for me really hit below the belt on the papacy of Pope Francis. I'm not implying Fr. McCloskey intended to convey anything about Pope Francis, but that the Catechism and Church teaching was a reality check.
I give the devil a lot of due. It's possible to be so powerful as to twist every word and deed of Pope Francis. I'd have a much easier time swallowing it, if it weren't for the things I see Pope Francis doing with my very own eyes.
When deception and confusion is about and I am trying to get to the bottom of it, sometimes the answers come down to one question where the person is trapped.
It is this way for me with the Holy Father. With all the hoopla around the papacy of what he didn't mean to say and do, there is just no getting around the author of appointing Kasper and Marx and helping them spread their errors.
I just can't help reading the description of Church teaching about the antichrist and pinning it like a rose to the trajectory of Pope Francis' 'pastoral policies' that contradict the Magisterium.
Nobody want's to pin such a sinister deception on such a loving, affectionate man. I hope the guy is just a tool. There is no question that he is being used as a tool.

I do not think the current Pope is "loving" or "affectionate" in the real sense of those words. Oh, he puts on a good show of being that way, but when you look at his actual actions, the only love and affection he seems to have is for queers, modernists, and other deviants. He doesn't give a damn about everyday Catholics like us. But what's really appalling is the way many big time Catholic apologists like Voris, Armstrong, and Akin are trying to explain away what's really happening right in front of our eyes. Some, like Voris, tell us not to criticize the Pope, and others, like Armstrong and Akin, rationalize and explain it all away, and mock and ridicule those of us who can see the mess unfolding before them. BTW, I don't think for one moment this man is a tool. He knows exactly what he's doing, and IMO, he's happy as all get out to be doing it.

I agree with Steve: Pope Francis is running the show and is up to God knows what. But, like Carol, I hold out hope that all the prayers being offered for him will have a salutary (miraculous?) effect.
Are these the end times as described in 'Lord of the World'?
My opinion is that we are in the midst of the end times which began perhaps 150 years ago. Thinking this way helps put what's happening in perspective and focuses my attention on trying to run my life as if any day could be the last.

What if our own family Father was making terrible mistakes, undermining good works, and leading others into sin? How would we react to a true father in our family?
Seeing there are problems and not burying our head in the sand (like O'Malley church ) is a start.
Our best hope is to accept God's Will and to turn to God in prayer for the Holy Father that he may one day FINALLY BE THERE WHEN HIS FAMILY REALLY NEEDS HIM! Without prayer to God and God's graces for ourselves and for the Holy Father we are without hope.
It seems we ALL finally agree on something - the final times APOSTASY.
Fatima (yes or no) and Antichrist (who or what) - but the APOSTASY is here for ALL to see and it is Biblical and it is needed before Jesus returns.
So we need to pray for the Pope.
We can also pray for souls - everyone - all souls!
And we can pray that our trials are mitigated by God because I see that 150 years mentioned as when MAN put himself in place of God in the French Revolution making Mary cry at La Sallette. God must be placed above all leaders, nations, groups (Boy Scouts), above each family and our own spouses. That is God's place!!!
The "new man" puts himself above all - this is the crap our children are taught to do in schools - that is why they graduate as arrogant "little gods". Note that they are taught to make smart choices (not follow GOD's commands).
The UN , the EU, the NWO, marxism, clapping fornication - it is all garbage but it is the agenda of the little gods because the little gods are jealous little gods - they do not tolerate competition of thought or of faith in the True God Jesus Christ and they are out to eliminate Him from the earth. Just watch the TV news every night - the agenda of the liberals - and the reaction of the young generation - it is disgusting!
Recall a great day when the first act of our new President George Washington was to walk to St Paul's chapel at ground zero in New York City where he got on his knees on the steps and consecrated the United States of America to God and at the end of his prayer he defined God as our Lord Jesus!
Now we see the fall of America at ground zero - physical and financial - in a nation run by the vote of the little gods who outlaw the true God and mock Christians.
And there are many little gods now in Ireland so it seems!

We can pray for him certainly, but what is meant to be will be, and, honestly, does anyone think we don't deserve this? It is long overdue and has been in the works since long before VII.
I think it will get so bad that we will begin to question whether the entire Church wasn't a set-up from the beginning. We will be like the disciples after the Crucifixion on the road to Emmaus.
Rhoda Wise was a convert to Catholicism who became a mystic and stigmatist. She lived in NE Ohio during the early part of the 20th century and died in the late 1940s. At the time, many people, including clergy, considered her to be authentic. Mother Angelica was cured of an illness at her home when she was a young girl.
Rhoda at one time made a prophecy that is very haunting and which I have no doubt we will witness, as the signs are evident everywhere. She stated: "The United States will undergo a revolution so great that priests will be hung from the telephone poles."
Very sobering.
55 million abortions, "gay" marriage, rampant pornography, divorce, adultery, fornication. Is there any doubt we deserve it?
