Pope Francis Says: When we sin, instead of going to confession and obtaining absolution, just tell Jesus to love us the way we are

We have heard a lot of creepy things over the course of this pontificate, but this one is the creepiest of all.

“When the Pharisees saw this – the Pope said - they said to his disciples ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ the answer they received was ‘Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do”.

“This, the Pope said, is an immense consolation because it means that Jesus came for me”. “We are all sinners” he continued, “We all have a degree in sin.”

No we do not.

A 'degree' is knowledge and expertise we eagerly pursue to practice in an avocation to serve God and His people.

But giving Christ's people a degree in sin and granting them license is what bishops and priests have been doing for decades. The Jesuits are the doctors of this false religion. They have been teaching it in every school and university for decades.

It's the same old and tired misinterpretation of Scripture that Jesus intended salvation to be 'having lunch with a sinner', instead of teaching them Christ died to leave us the Sacrament to absolve their sins and leading them to it.

This is our consolation. (…) Do not be afraid. In bad times, in moments in which we feel weighed down from things we may have done, during the many slippery slopes of life…remember: Jesus love me because this is who I am” he said.

Pope Francis then recalled the figure of Saint Jerome who offered the Lord his work of many years to which Jesus replied “No. Jerome. That is not what I want most.” Finally Jerome asked Jesus to tell him what would give him the most joy, and Jesus replied “Give me your sins…”

The Physician is the Sacrament. Not the person eating the meal with sinners. It's not a priest. It's not even a pope.

What He 'wants most', is to give Him the sins in the Sacrament of Confession and draw His Blood in that state of Sanctifying Grace which has the medicine that helps us to resist sinning again. This is the entire reason why He Sacrificed His Life and left behind His Body and Blood.

With the exception of the Blessed Mother, there isn't a morsel of food on any table in the history of mankind that entered the mouth of a sinless person. Priests who eat food out with and hang out with mankind struggling with sin WITHOUT leading them to the Sacrament of absolution is the opposite of Christ. And we all know what the opposite of Christ is.

And I don't mean we have to talk about it over every bowl of pasta. What we do is let them know what the practice of our religion is by making known what WE do with OUR sins and why. We practice and witness it as we are loving them.

Protestants teach their people that Christ's death absolved their sins and they therefore can continue to sin. Never led to the Divine Physician for healing, they are dead man walking with compounding mortal sins on their soul.

The Physician is Christ in the Sacrament of Confession and there is no healing without it. Trying to heal emotions without the Sacrament is a fools errand.

Couldn't sinning be seen as crucifying Jesus? If we love Him, why would we want to crucify Him? He died for our sins, so that we would continue to sin, and tell Him - better love me as I am? It is sickening.

Is this view of sin, this belief that we neither should nor could change, by the grace of God, why Bergoglio supports divorce? If I can not change, and if I do not ask God to help me change, sometimes the only way forward (one of progressives' favourite words, never defined as forward to hell, and much loved by Bergoglio) might be a change of a spouse. Maybe this next configuration will work better. Maybe my predetermined and unchanging sin and the next spouse's sin will work better together.

Pope Francis is a good Protestant. Let us not be good Protestants but rather good Catholics.

Michael, those were my thoughts exactly!

I am mainly speaking to catechized Catholics on this blog. The failures of our priests and bishops to teach the purpose of His Incarnation and death brings us to our knees. Soooo many know not what it means to be inside of Christ's Church.
