The Spirit of Christmas
The Spirit of Christmas is, in reality,
The Spirit of Christ.
His Spirit reaches out and offers us
His touch.
He can touch us wherever we may be.
His reach has no boundaries.
He is present to individuals everywhere --
To those in the warmth of a home
Or in a home grown cold
Those confined to a hospital or prison
And those with no place to live.
He embraces those who have lost hope.
His gentle caress consoles the lonely and grieving.
With open arms he welcomes back all who have left him
And beckons those who have never met him.
He affirms those who love him
And challenges them to greater service.
Although the Spirit of Christmas
Is here throughout the year,
During this special season,
We may be more open to receive his LOVE.
And so he calls to each of us
With a very special invitation
To be...
Touched by the Christmas Spirit.
