More on Markoff

Panties, guns, creepy mementos

Yet a female high school classmate recalls a cruel, hateful bully with a need to degrade “people he thought were beneath him,” such as prostitutes.

There's some kind of a class war underpinning in picking on the 22 year-old woman Markoff was engaged to. When you can't find something to malign in a 22-year-old busting her tail in medical school, pink kitchen appliances can feed the envy of "The View" and "Oprah" crowd.

She's still hoping her nightmare is all a big mistake.

LITTLE SILVER, N.J. - The stunned dad of Philip Markoff’s fiancee said this afternoon his distraught daughter is still praying the Craigslist killing nightmare will prove to be just a bad dream.

“She’s still confident in Phil. Other than that we’re saying a lot of prayers,” said Jim McAllister, father of 25-year-old Megan McAllister.

But the news is just not getting better:

Duct tape, a gun hidden inside his copy of “Gray’s Anatomy,” ammo and restraints were discovered - along with women’s panties - in Markoff’s Quincy apartment after his arrest, authorities say. Police have hinted that other “items of all kinds of ilk” were also discovered.

The gun found at the house linked to the murder and fingerprints on the duct tape and plastic restraints were a match to Markoff.

He tried to kill himself this afternoon and is on a suicide watch.

Sad and shattering.
