Catholics for Defrocking Richard McBrien

There are few people in America who loathes Christ's Church more than Richard McBrien.

Just when you think this individual couldn't get any more combative against the Holiest of Holies, he wages war against Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Frankly, he is more destructive than the entire handful of pedophile priests and should have been defrocked years ago.

Carol,
Do what you are good at.
Lead the charge to get McBrien defrocked. St. Joan of Arc will guide you. It would be a dam shame to waste the buzz created with the Caritas thing...I believe it was pivotal in getting ObamaCare stalled. Weasels like McBrien and Bad Hair are frightened by the likes of you. McBrien's latest public statement about adoration angers the communion of Saints.
Step up - many will follow.

You're too kind. I know I owe an email! Sorry...

The Caritas thing is NOT over. There are FOIAs to obtain and some paper trails to be sent to Rome and some American prelates. Not sure what Fr. T was upset about but I suspect he knows there is a phase 2 that is going to knock socks off.

All in the Lord's time. You see how in the pause, the skepticism about whether Cardinal O'Malley is operating in good faith and truth has been lifted higher?

I'm sure the most we could get on McBrien is some kind of censure and silencing. Is this the right effort? Unraveling Hehir and the RCAB is more important, no?

btw - I think McBrien did an op-ed on me once...when I opined that hehir's evil sent chills up my spine.

Classic McKinley moment.

Carol,
With respect, I would urge you to stay local and fight the corrupt right in front of us in the archdiocese. McBrien is making himself ridiculous, as Father Z has pointed out. Hehir and others of his ilk are a clear and present danger, especially with the health care push on the national level with abortion. (and you can always write about our homegrown heretics;-)
