This painting is one from the collection of my favorite artist, William Adolphe Bouguereau called Cupid and the Psyche as Children.
In two of Bouguereau's paintings (, thePieta) and Virgin of Consolation, he memorialized his own grief over the deaths of his wife and several of his children.
