Knights of Colubmus and the Archdiocese of Manchester Sex, Abortion and Candy Celebrations

 ***UPDATE

This event has been cancelled.

Kudos to all who worked on this on the ground, underground and with prayer.

*********************

My apologies for throwing the below message up quickly yesterday.  It was a choice between meeting a friend for dinner or blogging a decent explanation for the below.

I chose linking to the blog in an email so the various parties involved would see it was up there and merrily along my way I went!

Barabara Hagan is a New Hampshire Catholic prolifer who is exposing the abortion business shenanigans of Bishop McCormack, similar to what we exposed here in Boston.

Let me explain, once again, how the corruption in the Church works.

Here's the plot:  The main characters are men with money and Bishops who salivate for money.

God knows I hate using the word "men" to describe these individuals.  "Men" is a word I respect and revere.  Men are devoted to God and His Church.  They love and protect women an children and the sovereignty of our country.  They put their heart and soul and everything they have, even their very lives, on the line.    Here, I have used the word "men" to describe their gender and I state for the record that I detest using this revered word to give these cowards and weasels legitimacy.

These men use their money to woo and control the Bishops who place money above the salvation of the souls of Christ's flock.

In Boston, we have John Kaneb, Jack Connors, Jim McDonough (whom J Bryan Hehir has put into place) after donating enormously large sums of money to the Cardinal, then make phone calls to the Cardinal saying they want an orthodox Catholic removed from a position because they don't like his dissenting opinions when they want the Cardinal to sign abortion contracts - etc.

Bishops can't get away with covering up pedophile rings and murders of children without laity.   (This manifests itself in various ways that really needs to be broken out in another post that I will get to)  There are many levels to this toxic environment.)

How Bishop McCormack got away scott free when his fingerprints are all over the pedophile rings here in Boston is a subject for another day.  But, he slithered away and he is up in New Hampshire with power players with money influencing him.  There are links below to stories about his hospital venture that will be familiar to Catholics.

Meanwhile, back at the dude ranch, along comes Knights of Columbus who have rented their hall to Planned Parenthood for the below-mentioned fundraiser.

Here's how they did it.  And, again, it will be familiar.

They go back to the Secretary of States office and file amendments to their organizational docs to give the appearance it isn't them.

Here, we have the Knights of Columbus, filing an amendment to take the name "Knights of Columbus" off of their entity.

"Portsmouth Casey Home Association"

Doesn't that sound homey?

Warm and fuzzy they are, these folks are the City of Portsmouth Knights of Columbus Home Association.

If you look at other filings by these pubahs, you'll note their address is St. James Church in Portsmouth

Along comes the women who object to the Planned Parenthood Sex and Candy Celebration 2010 who are treated like they're idiots:

The State Officers are working on the issue.  There is a great deal of discussion about this matter in the council (no affiliation legally with the Casey Center).  Calls to legal representatives have been made.
It works this way.  The Council is part of the K of C.  The Casey Center is NOT part of the K of C, it is a separate entity called a Home Association.  Should be the same people involved in both, but it does not have to be that way.
The Casey Center legal staff has stated that it is illegal for the center to not rent to persons because 1). It is illegal (although what law is being violated I do not know) and 2) it would result in a law suit.
I disagree mightily.  We still have freedom of association in this country.  The rental of a hall is not the same as rental of housing which is exempt from the freedom of association rights (i.e. I can not refuse to rent an apartment to a handicapped person or a Jew or a “gay couple”).
Apparently some, including Mr. Speed, have received death threats from people saying they were pro-life.  Not good form that!

Right out of the gate, let me say that anyone claiming prolifers are making death threats should be asked for their evidence.   This caricature that prolifers would threaten lives is slander.

Here's what "Mr. Speed" had to say about the situation:

Just spoke to Kathy *****.  She called Mr. Richard Speed who is a Knight from Portsmouth involved with this fiasco.
He is involved with NARAL being able to rent the hall.
He is absolutely fine with this event and has no intentions of doing anything to stop it.
He called Kathy "stupid" and told her to"bring some pedophile priests with her when she comes to picket."

Call me a skeptic, but Mr. Speed seems to have some antiCatholic prejudices that make his "death threats" rather suspect.   I'm going to write back Jordan and get the details 'bout "who" has threatened "Mr. Speed".  Perhaps the police should be called to "investigate" the evidence (or lack thereof).

Lastly, and more importantly, women are not as stupid as we look.

Nor are we craven.

We may not be wearing costumes with capes and hats with feathers in them, but by the living and breathing Christ, our Beloved whom we adore, we're going to chase you child abuse - whether it's rape or murders right out of Dodge.

Dear Sirs:

(From the New Hampshire Secretary of Stat's Office

City of Portsmouth Knights of Columbus Home Association.

1993 - Frank Sheehan, President of the City of Portsmouth Knights of Columbus filed an amendment stating that a vote had been taken by the directors of the City of Portsmouth Knights of Columbus Home Association, approving the name change to
Portsmouth Casey Home Association,

June of 2001, a reinstatement of the entity was filed with Portsmouth Casey Home Association with an address of St. James Church in Portsmouth, 03802.

According to the annual report of 2005, the purpose of the corporation was to create a "holding organization" for the purchase of real estate.

Thinking perhaps the ownership had somehow changed hands to something that wasn't Catholic, I looked up St. James Church.

It says it's Catholic and  there's a big picture of Bishop McCormack in the corner.

See for yourself:

This appears to be the end of the charade that the sex, food and candy abortion celebration 2010 and the Casey Center have nothing to do with the Knights of Columbus or the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manchester.

So, what do we have here.

1. Catholic Bishops and Cardinals setting up abortions businesses in New England with lay men running around covering up what's happening with backroom business dealings by lending their business expertise in how to subterfuge it with entity documents.

2. Lying to the women who catch you.  Character assassinations.

Gives a whole new meaning to those capes and hats with the feathers in them and the swords around your waist.

Portsmouth, NH
Delicious food, fabulous chocolate, unique auction items--while supporting the great work that NARAL Pro-Choice NH does to protect choice.
June 9 at the K of C Hall in Portsmouth, NH!  Fundraiser to kill Babies --NARAL National Abortion Rights Action League holds it's chocolate festival!    Somehow they were able to contract with the Knights of Columbus Hall in Portsmouth!
Talk about desecration!

Local Boston Catholic John O'Gorman, who was thrown out of the Knights of Columbus for objecting to the proaborts throwing their weight around inside of the Knights of Columbus has dug up more dirt:

The following PDF from Portsmouth City Council, 16/Mar/2004, shows a petition to allow the building to be used by the K of C and as a function hall - first page, last paragraph.
On its website, http://www.caseycenter.com, the Casey Function Center uses the same PO Box 6550 as the PORTSMOUTH "CASEY" HOME ASSOCIATION, which was just a Business Name change from CITY OF PORTSMOUTH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HOME ASSOCIATION.
Ladies,
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and it has the same PO Box number as a duck...Then it must be...the Knights of Columbus! God bless all.

There's what I can a "man".  Thank God this country still has plenty of them!

That's all.

Class dismissed.

Oh, and ladies - Have a spectacular Mother's Day!

Just as the Knights are starting a national-wide pro-life prayer campaign!

NY Archbishop, KofC Launch National Prayer Campaign for Life
By Kathleen Gilbert

NEW YORK, May 7, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, together with the Knights of Columbus and the Sisters of Life, have launched a campaign of prayer aimed at combatting the Culture of Death and inspiring a greater respect for the dignity of human life in all its stages.

The National Prayer Campaign for Life was announced at a Mass May 3, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the death of New York Archbishop John Cardinal O’Connor.

The campaign's Web site states that the campaign was inspired by Pope John Paul II's encyclical Evangelium Vitae, in which the pontiff wrote: "A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer."

That could apply to the opt-out clause in the Caritas Christi agreement to sell its soul:

Sale of Boston Catholic hospitals includes option to go secular
Catholic World News
May 07, 2010

The controversial sale of Boston's Catholic health-care system includes a provision that would alow the secular buyer to opt out of a requirement to maintain the system's Catholic identity, by paying $25 million to a charity instead.

The proposed sale of the Caritas Christi hospitals to Cerberus Capital Management stipulates that the new owners will run the institutions in accordance with Catholic moral principles. But if that requirement becomes "materially burdensome," the new management could choose to contribute $25 million to a charity chosen by the archdiocese, and remove all signs of Catholic identity from the hospitals. That $25 million would be roughly 3% of the sale price for the hospital system.

Wow, well the previous blog post about Caritas is kind of huge news, isn't it? And it evidently wasn't divulged until May 6, as Catholic World News and the Globe reported it May 7. The secular buyer can terminate the Catholic identity under this escape clause if maintaining Catholic ethics becomes "materially burdensome," a term undfefined in the agreement.
...So long Catholic identity ....
