The Urban Legend that Christians Have a Negative View of Sex

As a cradle Catholic, I'm fascinated by the urban legend that Christians don't enjoy sex.

We’ve bought the lie that the world gets to have wild, crazy sex and Christians, holy folks like us, have to have black-and-white, two-dimensional sex. But what if that’s wrong? What if the God who overflows us with love and hope and mercy wants that part of our lives to be as big and as colorful as two married people could possibly imagine?

I have two questions and one of them I'm afraid to ask.

1. Who is "we"?
2. What in Sam Hill is 'two-dimensional sex'?

This CNN article is editorializing on this (actually well-written) article:

I’ve long said that popular culture often acts as if God might have invented humanity and thus sex, but he was completely caught off guard that sex was an enjoyable activity. He was convinced it was a very clinical activity designed for baby making.

You read it right, "clinical activity designed for baby making".

People still believe that stuff?

I did not follow the Christopher West dust up very closely but I can say that generally speaking, his zeal and witness about what really goes on in a bedrooms of 'holy folks' is very much needed.
