Peculiar News on the Peculiar News on NeoCats (Liturgy was NOT approved)

Phew!

Vatican approval for Neo-Catechumenal Way only applies to non-liturgical catechesis

Vatican City, Jan 21, 2012 / 05:15 pm (CNA).- The Vatican’s approval of the Neo-Catechumenal Way’s forms of “celebration” only applies to non-liturgical prayers within their catechesis and not to the Mass or other liturgies of the Church.

“With respect to the celebrations of the Holy Mass and the other liturgies of the Church,” communities of the Neo-Catechumenal Way must “follow the norms of the Church as indicated in the liturgical books – to do otherwise must be understood to be a liturgical abuse,” a Vatican official told CNA on Jan. 21.

In this process, “the Neocatechumenal Way obtained no new permissions whatsoever,” said the official, who is familiar with the approval process for prayers and liturgies.

“Essentially, the Pontifical Council is only approving these things that are found in the Catechetical Directory of the Neocatechumenal Way, and in no way touches those things contained in the liturgical books.

(Ok, I'll admit it...I am relieved! I did NOT want these liturgical abuses coming to a parish near us.)

Be sure to read through the comments at Fr. Z's. There are still many problems with the Catechesis, etc., and directives from 2008 about the Liturgy that do not leave me edified.

I do repeat, the Pope seemed to leave several clues in his statement which seem to indicate he's trying to reign this this thing in.

The ravings of a Neocatechume-nut in the combox at Rorate Coeli

After Jesus Christ, no one is greater than Kiko Arguello. He was sent to save the Church - and HE DID!

The Neocatechumenal Way at the Vatican will ensure that you so-called Latin Lovers will soon go to where you belong - a footnote in the history of the Church.

The Neocatechumenal Way at the Vatican will ensure that very soon Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate liturgy according to Our Rite - and it's not a Roman Rite but a Universal Ecumenical Rite for the selected ones.

I honestly hope that you Latin Lovers will join us before it is too late.

Remember that Blessed John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI have already celebrated our Rite. But your Rite has been concealed and will not re-surface. No Pope will repeat past mistakes.

I doubt whether you Latin Lovers will show this comment. In any case, WE WON!!!

I am very serious. And we are consistent not like you Latin Lovers! After all why do you use the pseudonym "New" when you're a bunch of hopeless people licking something that belongs to the dustbin of history.

We follow Kiko and Carmen - the true light that is guiding the Holy Father to take the right decisions. We are the concrete fruit of the Vatican Council II.

WE WON!!!

To all those who have the stomach to accuse me of lying (we Neo-Catechumenals never lie like you Latin Lovers) check this link:

http://www.camminoneocatecumenale.it/new/default.asp?lang=en&page=cordes

On the right hand side you see a photo of Blessed John Paul II celebrating our Rite - not yours.

WE WON. GO TO HELL TRAITORS OF THE WAY. Or else join the sects like templars, conclavists, sedevacancies, sspx etc. etc. ad nauseam

When I said after Jesus, Kiko it was in the sense of men. Just like after Madonna comes Carmen. But male and female are created separately. When I say WE WON I mean the Church and the Way.

I am surprised how you know nothing about our attitude. We are meek and humble working in the vineyard. Instead you Latin Lovers quarrel between yourselves and create different sects.

the rite has been approved. It took years of petience by Kiko and Carmen, until some evil Cardinal retired and then the Way was paved. In the end, the Church won.

Whether you like it or not, Kiko and Carmen have always guided us and ensured us that our celebration has been approved. Today it has and what a great day it is!

To all those who think I am joking: as a Spainiard I find more pathetic the priest you admire so much (Apeles) who goes regularly for photos and modelling sessions with Spanish top models and actresses. Now that is a sick joke.

Anon, Hard to believe that we are part of the same religion after a rant like that - or maybe we are not. Peace.

But they ARE boasting that their "liturgy" was approved. Check out the Zenit interview given by Kuko himself.

They will take what they got and run with it, just wait and see.

Do you remember how the abuse of Communion in the hand got started?

We need some anathema sits; not that I expect such thunderbolts in these days of "let's all get along and be nice", but it would do much to strengthen the Church. These are the days of diabolical disorientation of which Sr. Lucia spoke.

After due reflexion and "discernment", I have decided based on this kinky kiko scandal to begin shopping for a new religion. I have no doubt that Ratzinger will be sitting around the neocat table in his underwear in the glow of the menorah feeding the untransubstantiated matzoh to the catechumenal canines before he ever celebrates the True Mass in public.

I was thinking of Buddhism based on my reading of Merton, but I'm afraid of getting electrocuted. Or Hinduism but I remember the Hare Krishna people who always seemed to have shaved their heads to keep the lice manageable but never washed their faces. Maybe Shintoism but I despise sushi and tofu so I'd be no fun at the sake hour after the weekly ancestor-worship. Especially since one of my ancestors was an outlawed raparee roving the hills with Eamon an Chnoic. Mise Ó Máille an chnoic, atá báite fuar fliuch .... He's still out there I think.

I think it's a toss up between the Byzantine Rite and Orthodoxy. In JP there is a Ukrainian Orthodox Church a Hail Mary pass away from an Eastern Rite Ukrainian Catholic Church. I am going to try them both out and whichever one doesn't make me learn to color Easter eggs (Pascha eggs?), I will join. The chant is wonderful, especially at funerals. You can see I've got an eye on the future which is a lot closer than it used to be.

Then again, that old book smoocher John Paul the "Great", what book was it he kissed? I don't recall at the moment but I don't think it was the Zaniest Zingers of Zoroaster.
