The Catholic fight with Obama is getting ugly

A big fugatz on Capitol Hill, with support crumbling among the Democrats.

and EWTN and Priests for Life have filed federal lawsuits. Knowledgeable sources are quietly saying the Bishops' Conference is also revving up to file a federal lawsuit against the Obama Administration.

"The president is very interested in finding the appropriate balance between religious beliefs and convictions -- and he takes those very seriously -- and his commitment to making sure that women of all faiths have access to these important health care preventive services," Carney said Feb. 7.

"We certainly don't want to abridge anyone's religious freedoms, so we are going to look for a way to move forward that both provides women with the preventive care that they need and respects the prerogatives of religious institutions," Axelrod said the same day.

The Bishop's Conference has lost hope in the Rope a Dope. Bishop Dolan says Kathleen Sebelius has terribly misguided judgment and the 'bishops are fighters'. Miracles can happen!

I know you're wondering how the Bishops, whose cowardice, inertia, dissent has caused this problem could deserves our credibility.

I think the short answer is, maybe some of them don't. But, I'm seeing Don Bosco's prophecy here. I've highlighted my thoughts about where we are with the Bishops.

On May 30, 1862 , Don Bosco recounted that in a dream he had seen an immense sea on which a great many ships were arranged for battle against a larger and taller ship. He also saw others which were defending the tall ship. Here are his words:

"In the midst of this endless sea, two solid columns, a short distance apart, soar high into the sky. One is surmounted by a statue of the Immaculate Virgin, at whose feet a large inscriptions reads:" 'Auxilium Christianorum' ('Help of Christians') . The other, far loftier and sturdier, supports a Host of proportionate size, and bears beneath it the inscription: 'Salus credentium' ('Salvation of believers').

"The flagship commander - the Roman Pontiff- standing at the helm, strains every muscle to steer his ship between the two columns, from whose summits hang many anchors and strong hooks linked to chains. The entire enemy fleet closes in to intercept and sink the flagship at all costs. They bombard it with everything they have: books and pamphlets, incendiary bombs, firearms, cannons. The battle rages ever more furious. Beaked prows ram the flagship again and again, but to no avail, as, unscathed and undaunted, it keeps on it course. At times, a formidable ram splinters a gaping hole in its hull, but immediately, a breeze from the two columns instantly seals the gash.

"Meanwhile, enemy cannons blow up; firearms and beaks fall to pieces; ships crack up and sink to the bottom. In blind fury, the enemy takes to hand-to-hand combat, cursing and blaspheming. Suddenly the Pope falls, seriously wounded. He is instantly helped up, but struck a second time, dies. A shout of victory rises from the enemy, and wild rejoicing seeps their ships. But no sooner is the Pope dead than another takes his place. The captains of the auxiliary ships elected him so quickly that the news of the Pope's death coincides with that of his successor's election. The enemy's self-assurance wanes.

"Breaking through all resistance, the new Pope steers his ship safely between the two columns; first, to the one surmounted by the Host, and then the other, topped by the statue of the Virgin. At this point, something unexpected happens. The enemy ships panic and disperse, colliding with and scuttling each other.

"Some auxiliary ships, which had gallantly fought alongside their flagship, are the first to tie up at the two columns. Many others, which had fearfully kept far away from the fight, stand still, cautiously waiting until the wrecked enemy ships vanish under the waves. Then they too head for the two columns, tie up at the swinging hooks and ride safe and tranquil beside their flagship. A great calm now covers the sea. " (memoirs, Vol. VII. Pages 107-108).

Big changes coming. Big.

You mean Kathleen Sibelius is goind to be denied Holy Communion?

Maria,

Sebelius already has been denied Holy Communion by Naumann. See Ed Peter's commentary on Nancy Pelosi.

Carol is right -- it is going to get ugly. But the only loser will be the godless atheist Marxist Obama. Let us hope his potentially promiscuous daughters don't get punished with a baby. Telling Freudian slip from that anti-Christian bigot ensconced in the White House.

There is a two-thirds majority of Catholics on the Supreme Court. If it comes to a test case of the devil's concubine Sebelius vs the Catholic Church, then may there be another unanimous decision in favour of religious freedom and against Obama and his traitorous fellow travelers and usurpers of the Constitution of this once great Republic.

There are many conservative blogs reporting support for the Catholic position against Obama and Sebelius and the HHS mandate among the Protestants. I haven't read of any Jewish groundswell but let us hope that they too rally to the Torah teaching and beat down Obama's culture of death. If not, they turn a blinkered eye to the history of their own catastrophe.

Any government that can mandate that you have a right to abort, can mandate that you shall abort at its arbitrary directive. And that you shall kill your parents and grandparents when their deemed usefulness as citizens has been outweighed by the cost of keeping them alive.

The most barbaric age in history is upon us. And it is personified it that anti-Christ Obama.

The hierarchy must formally excommunicate Sebelius and Pelosi.

Anti-pope Pelosi publicly proclaims herself to be the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. It is no longer a situation of crank dissenters leafleting practicing Catholics as they attend Mass. These folks are directly attempting to become the teaching authority of the Church. It is now beyond the point where the hierarchy can deny communion or claim that these apostates have excommunicated themsellves. The very teaching office of the Church is under direct attack.

Thanks Jack-- for the link to Peters commentary. I am a moron sometimes :)

I didn't know that either, Maria, until I read it on Ed Peters' blog. He's a good canonist and often has a lot of background info. I was pretty surprised that any mere bishop would dare to challenge a politician!

Though I sympathize with Breathnach, I am not sure what the rules are for formal excommunication. An archbishop can be excommunicated for consecrating bishops without the approval of a pope who kissed a coran. Another point for Peters to explicate.

BTW, he did a good job analyzing the case of Michael Voris' use of the term "Catholic". Though my sympathies are with Voris regardless of the letter of canon law.

Something's rotten in the state of Denmark, methinks.

Thanks Breathnach for the reminder. I don't know how, but I forgot about that!

I've added Peter's to the blogroll to keep an eye on it!

What they need to do is give Carol Keehan a smack down :)
