Update in Syria - Putin Accuses Obama of Using Al Quaeda

Nothing we already didn't know, but isn't it something that Russia is the promoter of justice against America's army of muslim terrorists slaughtering Christians in Syria?

Even our enemies can be used by God.  Warning us of our flaws.

Some people want to use militants from al Qaeda ... to accomplish their goals in Syria," Putin said in a speech on Russian television,

Assad is not an ally, but sitting on our hands seems like the repeated passive-aggressive strategy that allows the Islamic Republic gobble it all up. This is a good explanation of why Christians get the blunt force of these destabilizations.

Hillary Clinton (isn't she a little long in the tooth for that hair-do?),  acknowledging the rift with Putin, is using the terminology "transitioning to democracy" to describe Obama's military actions and objectives.  Democracy seems be a new code for ushering in Al Quaeda and Sharia law across the middle east.  She duly noted the concerns of Christians being ethnically cleansed.  Mighty white of her.

Canada has severed ties with Iran, citing the Islamic Republic as a significant threat to global peace and security.  Something heating up in Iran with nuclear weapons.    No matter who gets into office, this war is looming.  Barack is buying time until after the elections to play his cards.

Pushed into a corner by Israel, he talked the talk, but stopped short of saying striking Iran was inevitable.  His ego leveraged by his determination to destroy the Republic of the United States has the stink of catastrophe.   Netanyahu believes Iran to be four to eight weeks away from developing a nuclear bomb.   Islamic terrorists in Iran preparing for nuclear war don't give a rat's tail about diplomacy.  Israel won't wait for the US or anyone else to protect themselves.

When President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls Israel a “black stain” that needs to be removed from human society, he means it.

What is astonishing is the degree to which so much attention is paid to every comment by anonymous Israeli officials about a possible attack on Iran, without equivalent attention being paid to these genocidal comments which explain why Israel is even contemplating such a move.
"It also creates the bizarre spectacle of senior US military and diplomatic officials focusing their time and attention on trying to prevent an Israeli attack rather than an Iranian bomb."
Up to no good.

The fighting is intensifying and the water supply has been blown to smitherines.

Prayers...

BTW - I recently read a post on a Catholic blog that pooh-poohed the concerns of alert Catholics relative to the security threat to America if Obama is re-elected.  One of the usual suspects whose self-acclaimed virtue lies in taking potshots at prophets and Church Militant (whom the Pope is behind).   They don't have the guts to protect the flock from spiritual slayers and bullies.  They are much too virtuous. Charity and their little way is being vicious to faithful Catholics, warriors and patriots.

Mother Teresa with a passive-aggressive personality profile.  I digress.

Some people have trouble seeing the forest through the trees, understanding that the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ and quite literally will follow Christ's three years on earth.  Through a passion and death.  Then comes the resurrection.  The life of Christ through His Mystical Body is augmented in the Book of Revelation.  When and where this plays out really doesn't matter.  This year, another hundred years or thousands years from now, it is going to happen.  The idea is when it escalates, we bring it into the light so that we can pray for time and mercy.  Delay it.

At the beginning of this millennium, Pope John Paul II's prayers and his writings told us that we were the crossroads, 'as never before in the past'.    During his prayer of World Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, he said we can turn this world into a garden or reduce it to a pile of rubble.

The previous May, he released the Third Secret of Fatima with Lucia's interpretation:

The decision of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to make public the third part of the secret of Fatima brings to an end a period of history marked by tragic human lust for power and evil, yet pervaded by the merciful love of God and the watchful care of the Mother of Jesus and of the Church.

The action of God, the Lord of history, and the co-responsibility of man in the drama of his creative freedom, are the two pillars upon which human history is built.

Our Lady, who appeared at Fatima, recalls these forgotten values. She reminds us that man's future is in God, and that we are active and responsible partners in creating that future.
The humble and virtuous see themselves as knowing all, having every gift of prophecy and it all contradicts 2000 years of theology, true prophets and the writing on the wall.

The irony does not go unnoticed.

If Iran is four to eight weeks away from developing a nuclear bomb, the Iranians most likely would test it publicly (if not use it outright at a perceived enemy) to try to measure what Obama would do and force his hand one way or the other. His response could determine the election.

The danger that few people mention regarding Iranian nuclear ambitions is the fact that Iran can ship such weapons to Hezbollah or Syria to use not only against Israel, but also against the United States, Europe or the Syrian people as "dirty bombs" or small-range balistic missles.

BTW, is the genius who disregards the United States' legitimate defense for the sake of Catholic doctrine the Illustrious Mr. Shea?

It doesn't surprise me that Russia is protesting the mistreatment and killing of Christians in the Middle East. Before the Communist era, Russia always regarded itself as the protector of Christians in that region. It goes back to the days when they were fighting the Ottoman Turks. Many Slavic Orthodox folks were under the Ottoman heel, so it made sense for Russia to stand up for them. Now that our Muzzie loving Prez is messing in the Middle East, to the determent of the Christians living there, Rssia is reassuming it's historic role.

Steve, I have a more cynical view. Russia has always longed for naval access to the Mediterranean (that was a major reason for the Russo-Turkish War in the 1850s). Assad's regime has given Russia that access, going back to the days when they were allied. Putin has no assurances that Assad's possible replacement would do the same. Furthermore, Putin doesn't impress me as a man who gives a damn about Christians, Middle Eastern or any other kind.

Joe, I don't doubt there's some self interest here, however Russia has very strong spiritual and emotional ties to the Middle East because their Christianity came from Constantinople.
