Has Fr. Corapi Surfaced?

I saw a music video earlier this summer without any content, but Fr. Corapi supporters say they were emailed what they believe to be a new video and there appears to be a somewhat new facebook page.

Some good things - the blacksheepdog is gonzo and he is wearing a Roman collar. He makes an ambiguous reference to things he may have done to deserve criticism, but then says people who should have known better believed things that were untrue - and he mentions all of his good fruit.

I have always felt terrible over the way he was treated by Mark Shea and company. It was a terrible witness and disservice to Christ's Church. Even a man guilty of such things should not have been treated in the way he was treated. He did much good for the Church and there was incredible fruit.

Everyone is in need of kindness, compassion, redemption. I pray for the man, hope he is connected to the Sacraments that heals all wounds and sanctifies even the hardest of sinners.

That whole Corapi debacle made me physically ill.

Thank you Carol. I have maintained my prayers and love for him, and deemed a worshiper and follower of personality. The pages on facebook devoted to him do, sadly kind if radiate a wee bit of that stuff. At times.
To me, as I have maintained, it is not easy to get solid teaching. Father Corapi provided that for me, along with some others, and I am beyond grateful for that. To hear him so viciously maligned hurt me greatly. Especially to see other well known Catholics throwing him to the dogs.
If he was troubled and fell into sin, as apparently he did, then he is NO DIFFERENT than any of us.
I believe his fruit was so great, Satan was threatened, and his weaknesses made him vulnerable.
Call me cray-cray. But that's what I believe. He is like my uncle in faith, and I will always remember him as such.
Also, I would like to repost this, if that's okay.

I don't see a Roman collar though, Carol? Looks like a t shirt. I'll still keep up my prayers. Whatever his attire.

That Facebook page contains entirely too many photos of Himself. That reeks of egoism. One of the great problems with modern media is how readily they allow the ego to take center stage, even when in the service of a greater good.

Kelly, I meant on his facebook page he is wearing his collar. You are always free to take anything from this blog, LOL, it is definitely not proprietary, and the reason why I write is so that people can use it in whatever ways they wish.

Anon, I am still concerned about his well-being and I pray he has access to some solid priests.

The first three months after I came home to the church, I was holed up in the house immovable on the couch with an old injury. I watched a lot of Father Corapi and learned so much from him. I too am grateful for his solid teaching..also sorry for whatever happened. He says a very true thing on that video.."by your fruits you will know them."

So maybe he's got some good fruit growing again..time will tell and prayers will continue.

Blessings Carol +

Fr Corapi's teaching was always sound. The catechism series he did on Sunday nights was very good. I met him once when he came to a Catholic convention in Boston. My prayers are with him

Father Corapi has my support. He always asked for prayers so he knew he was weak and tempted by trying. Saint Peter sinned 3 times and became first Pope and a SAINT. Every word Father Corapi taught was the TRUTH of JESUS and that is why the WORD was so powerful and helped so many people.

I once heard of an atheist who would not believe because of the way she saw so called "Christians" feeding off their fallen brothers and sisters like vultures. It is so nice that the Catholics here at the Tenth Crusade LOVE their fallen brothers and sisters as we do not abandon Fr Corapi or Fr. Groshel who merely mixed up his words a bit.

I rarely say the Rosary but right now I have the Rosary with me because I carry it everywhere as Fr Corapi taught me. "Don't leave home without the Rosary". I may not "say" the Rosary but I "Walk the Rosary" - everywhere. I think that is a kind of a prayer in a way and it seems to keep me out of trouble. The Rosary is NEVER too heavy to pack - when I am looking to lighten my load that I carry. Thanks Fr Corpai !!!

Pray for Mother Angelica, Fr. Groshell and Fr Corpai.

I'm glad to have found a commentator who is not fearful of tongue's wagging.
Seems so much of the Church is afraid of such.
I love you, woman. Keep up the good work!

John, I am afraid our Lord broke the mold on that attribute on December 8, 1956. There are many more of us and what a relief it is to see the children of Psalm 23 all rising to say enough is enough.

Thanks for your encouragement. Peace and Christ's blessing to you and yours.

Father Corapi was very spiritually powerful, he influenced the lives of others and turned their hearts back to God and Catholicism.

The Enemy knew this and was looking for ways to destroy him, discounting any good that he did and preventing him from doing more good.

He often spoke of the battle of good versus evil and in that battle, he surely knows what the Enemy did to him and why.

If I can understand this, why can't the Catholic Church? Why didn't they understand and help him?

Father Corapi said that in the end only God can truly judge him. God knows the Enemy well and knows Father Corapi's strengths and weaknesses as he understands that about each and everyone of us.

We all need the help of "significant others" to help keep us spiritually strong. It was a shame that Father Corapi lived outside of his holy order and if anything they should have called him back into the order to strengthen him again/call him back into the flock...

let's face it - Corapi was a great preacher, but he is a phony, an egotist, and probably a narcissist, too. His biggest sin IMHO, is his claim of qualifying as a Green Beret. Ask yourself WHY he claimed that !!
Grow up, folks !!

John Corapi was indeed trained as a Green Beret...he was injured during the final phase of training and was disqualified. Anyone who tells you otherwise has not checked their facts. I've seen his military record. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Anyone can request a DD214 through the freedom of information act. Some obscure website in Missouri tried to discredit him years back but were unsuccessful. Corapi was and is a rock solid Priest, always supporting Church doctrine and teaching. I met the man personally and owned every media item he ever produced. Those who continue to attack this man years after he resigned the priesthood like to hear themselves talk.

I just got to know Fr Corapi through the u-tube videos quite recently—as soon as I saw the first one I thought he was a great preacher for Christ, for the catholic faith,—he taught me much. I admire him greatly always will. The church needs more like him, yet they purposely threw him under the bus. There are far more with worse sins holding high posts in the Vatican and elsewhere within the church. Let the person who is sinless throw the first stone! No wonder the church is going to hell in a hand-basket—It is all about politics, money and power—not God.

—So what if he wasn`t a Green Beret, so what if he fell in love with a woman or even a prostitute, so what if he has a house, so what if he has a boat, or ATV or a fancy car—so what! --In my eyes he deserves even more for his good work. —what does all this to do with how he preaches the word of God. Is everyone so perfect??—He still brought more souls back to the church than all of his accusers together! Few can say that—all of them are hypocrites, two faced and jealous of him. Shame on them-pocks on their houses! I am ashamed that I am a Catholic and that the hierarchy of my church is so evil! Hindu`s don`t do this, Buddhist`s don`t do this, Jew`s don`t do this, even Atheist`s don`t do this to their own—except Catholics. They all make me sick!! Where is the love of Christ!? No wonder so many churches are closing with this evil attitude. Yes-God bless Fr Corapi.

It's so crazy that Father Corapi was abused so much for some unfounded allegations. I personally believe that it was the work of the devil. As everyone else has said, EVERYONE makes mistakes, and if Father Corapi did fall into sin, it does not make any of his teachings heretical! None of his teachings on the Catholic Church have been heretical and he deserves our respect as one of the greatest teachers of the gospel for our modern world. God Bless Father Corapi and all of his works.

I was at one of the last conference Father Corapi gave in San Antonio, Tx.just before the news about his wrong doings broke. The previous year I had flown to Albany, New York for one of his conference. I saw and felt a great change in him in the later conference, cBut I remembered in San Antonio that he mentioned he was seeing demonic attacks. He said one day he wanted to put down in writing what he was undergoing. I should have double my prayers for him but instead I also failed him by being critical on his physical change. I will always pray for this man. I believe our Blessed Mother will rescue him and take care of him.

I watched Father Corapi many times on EWTN and also have several videos including his excellent Cathechism series. I believe he was genuine and authentic. He is much missed and I will always pray that he remains close to Our Lord and Our Lady. I believe they are pleased with everything he did to evangelize.

I really enjoyed Father Corapi. I have no right to judge, and the information that came out was so uncorroborated. So I have no conclusions of what happened, nor do I want any. I came out of Protestantism in 2001--one of the things I was SO tired of was the splits in the church over personalities and the scandals involved. I was relieved to be in Catholicism where I believed this was not so common. I was VERY disappointed to learn what happened to Father Corapi & to see the same thing happening in my new Church. Still, I believe Catholics have hung in there & not left the Church over this--this is my hope!

I first saw him on EWTN and became an ardent fan. I still have his DVDs since there is nothing wrong with what he preached. That being said I first saw him at Newark NJ and two years later at Buffalo NY. I did have an uneasy feeling at certain changes not in his words but his appearance which seemed to be more ego driven than spiritual. And I remember his plea for ppl to pray for him and how like everyone else he is just a short step away from falling into serious sin. I felt like he was telling us what was happening or about to happen to him.

I too loved him. He inspired many. He may have failed in some areas but who hasn't? None of us are perfect. I will always pray for him.

Will always support and pray for Fr. Corapi.
No matter what the situation really was/is, he is no less of a HUMAN than you and me. As he mentioned once, "you fall and you get up. You do not give-in into despair". With his preaching, he inspired many so many times. He definitely pumped some hope and sense into my life, and the life of my loved ones.He deserves all the prayers and support he can get. God Bless Fr. Corapi.

I wonder how he is now, and what he is up to. I hope he is well and in the state of grace. I do not believe he did the bad things that were attributed to him, and if they were, I still do not fault him. Since my reversion to the Faith, I have gravely sinned many times. I miss Fr. Corapi. I had the chance to hang out with him a few times, and serve mass for him. He was a great person, and did not seem like a narcissist or egomaniac to me.

After having read all the comments I can assure you that all the accusations against Father are false...We have proof that the accuser did lie and out of vengeance accused him of all the allegations...Father never left the Priesthood, his faith or the Church...Father prays his Mass every day in his Chapel at his house where he lives in Montana...Waiting for his day in court to bring the accuser and restore his reputation and be restored his Priestly faculties...Please for Father....God bless...<3

Everyone loved Fr. Corapi. The problem is, he was a phony, and was shacking up with a whore and making a mockery of his vows of poverty for years prior to the news story. Saying he was "abused" is pathetic.

This is for Father Corapi, if your reading this. Please please come back to the church. We miss you!!! Whatever happened, true or false, take it up with the Lord. That's all that matters. You changed my life. You were there when I needed you and you brought me back into, the church. I bet your Mother is also praying you will return to the church. LOL. Swallow your pride. I know you are still a priest, but we want you back on the pulpit. You don't realize all the souls you have helped. PLEASE come home!!!!

I have known Father Corapi since a couple of years after he became a priest. I first met him before others even knew his name. My family has been friends of his and we have seen him many, many times over the years---he even saw my first daughter after her birth before I had a chance to see her.

I remember one time while visiting him, he mentioned about these accusations. They were happening many years ago. He asked for prayers for this woman's conversion.

Father Corapi is a true priest and I would gladly give my life in defense of him.

Katie, we will never know whether it happens or it didn't so this is not an incident worthy of pledging your life in martyrdom. His conduct after the allegations doesn't leave one with a very good feeling.

Whether guilty or innocent, he deserves to be treated with the mercy and compassion and love that Mark Shea crowd is always yapping about possessing.

Had he been treated wither mercy, it is possible he would have returned to a state of Grace. The conduct of Mark Shea and crowd is reprehensible and damaging.
