No Saint Ever Had a Funeral Face
Why the long face?
What will Pope Francis do with this Funeral Face?
Do you think they'll dig the Crucifixes with Christ flying off like Peter Pan out of the Vatican II museum or pull His Corpus off all together?
If the ceilings in the Sistine Chapel weren't so high, I'd volunteer to climb up and paint curled-up corners on all the faces of Jesus and the Saints.
I don't know if there is any hope for the Seven Dolors of Mary. She would look kind of silly wearing a grin with all those swords coming out of her heart.
How do you suppose they'll transform Scripture to the transfiguration of a giddy Christ?
They have to practically change every word He said and story He told.
I think we may be told to throw out our nativity sets and replace them with figurines of all different kinds of sex partners gathering with Mary, Joseph and Jesus. The story that they ran away and preserved sanctity and life of their child just doesn't jive with the stereotyping the Church has been holding onto in the modern culture and giddy diplomacy with the devil.
Pleased to meet you,
Hope you've guessed my name
Ah, but what's puzzling you is the nature of my game.

Something the media and some Christians fail to grasp: the difference between happiness and joy.
Happiness is a transient emotional state. It is typically anchored in sensory consolations.
Joy is a state of being. It is anchored in hope. It can coexist with desolations; indeed, I remember a nun who once offered the observation that she could tell Christians who suffered chronic depression by their joy - they had learned that things could indeed be WORSE and were grateful things were not yet. Joy's presence is one of the best markers of a Christian.
There are Christians who distrust joy because they fear it's happiness.
It seems to me that the Commies are the real funeral faces! I wonder if Barach and Francis have looked in their mirrors lately. Death to the truth is what these deluded souls spew.
First Anon has it right...get me a drink, I'm going to need it after todays list of insults
Can't wait for Francis's Christmas message to the World, or perhaps he'll skip that?
Speak for yourself - I am dreading it.
All I am praying is the outcome doesn't replace the Holy Family in the stable with Elton John and his new husband.
Joe, might be more like 30!
"All I am praying is the outcome doesn't replace the Holy Family in the stable with Elton John and his new husband."
You know, I've thought about this. They got 'married' just before Christmas. Personally, with this Family Synod and various documents issued, I think the Church is complicit in sodomising Christmas. I think blasphemy of the Holy Family has happened.
