Priest Rides Hoverboard at Christmas Eve Mass

I'm sure you've all seen this?

When the mystical intimacy with Christ's Blood bores the crap out of a priest, this is the kind of sophomoric entertainment he distracts his people with during the Sacred Mystical moments of Christ's Incarnation, Crucifixion and Resurrection.

While we are surrounded by angels and saints and enter into the Praetorium and hear the crowds call for our Beloved's Crucifixion, while we watch the moments of Christ's agony in Gethsemene, while we stand horrified and in anguish during his Crucifixion and feel the pain of His Death and the glory of His Resurrection - this moron gets on a hoverboard and circles around us in an attempt to entertain us.

I'm glad they stopped him before he was lighting his farts on fire before the Canon.

I had not seen this! Why couldn't the board have caught on fire!

The shocking element in this story not that a priest would ride a hover-board during mass while crooning a nightclub song. Ha, we have all seen worse! The big surprise is he was swiftly and decisively suspended for it.

And more amazing, but a blessing, is his admission that the action of his bishop has helped him "wake up" to his error in his approach to liturgy. Praise God. One of those rare occasions when a bishop does teach, govern and sanctify! USCCB, take heed.

The best part was the Bishop doing something about this nonsense. This is the kind of "creative" liturgies we have lived with since Vatican II. It's all about entertainment, audience participation, celebration of the celebrant, and performed in a concert hall that is claimed to be a church. Somewhere along the line the whole business about Christ and his teaching was found not to be crowd pleasing.

Hoping this will be a wake-up call to get back to basics.

See if you can spot what's wrong in the Statement from his Diocese:

"The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence," the diocese wrote in a statement this week. "It is the Memorial of the Lord's Sacrifice. It is the source and summit of Christian life. It is the Church's highest form of worship. Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people."

Answer: When Vatican II Church teaches the Eucharist is simply a Memorial of the Lord's Sacrifice, you get the disrespect shown as at this "Mass". Sorry Bishop, but the Eucharist IS THE SACRIFICE!

Yea I was pleasantly surprised to see the disciplinary action.

This is why there's hardly any unity in the Church. We've got some Priests and Bishops teaching the laity bogus theology through bad example. They just do their "own thing" without any conscience at all. Their narcissism and arrogance is just disgusting! They have all this education but have no common sense. They have a hell of a lot of pride in their advanced education, you can't tell them anything since they know it all. Seriously, some of them are down right arrogant! And they think they can do what ever they want! Just as America is being de-constructed from the inside by it's arrogant & liberal government officials so it is that the Catholic Church is suffering the same from some of its arrogant & liberal clergy. The "smoke of Satan" is cultivating man's pride and is in the Church; and the laity, as ignorant as most of them are, are buying into it.
