Fr. Hunwicke's Excellent Reflection on the Continued Refusal to Meet with the Four Cardinals
This is a question that has bothered me too, but I'm afraid I drew the conclusion a long time ago.
I am finding it difficult to elaborate a workable hermeneutic by which to understand the unwillingness of the Roman Pontiff to allow his door to be opened to the Four Cardinals.

The only "workable hermeneutic" is that Francis believes he is accountable to no one. Even a respected theologian can figure that one out!
