Why does the Holy Father talk like there is no Deposit of Faith?
Here we go again.
“For this to happen, we need to avoid two recurrent temptations. The first temptation seeks diversity without unity. This happens when we want to separate, when we take sides and form parties, when we adopt rigid and airtight positions, when we become locked into our own ideas and ways of doing things, perhaps even thinking that we are better than others, or always in the right. When this happens, we choose the part over the whole, belonging to this or that group before belonging to the Church. We become avid supporters for one side, rather than brothers and sisters in the one Spirit. We become Christians of the “right” or the “left”, before being on the side of Jesus, unbending guardians of the past or the avant-garde of the future before being humble and grateful children of the Church. The result is diversity without unity. The opposite temptation is that of seeking unity without diversity. Here, unity becomes uniformity, where everyone has to do everything together and in the same way, always thinking alike. Unity ends up being homogeneity and no longer freedom. But, as Saint Paul says, “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Cor 3:17).”
Good grief.
Thanks anyway, but we'll stick with always thinking like Christ, lock ourselves up with His airtight ideas, trying to do everything together and in the same way He did, in unity with Him and the HOLY Spirit.

In the Holy Gospel according to Luke (12:51-59) it is written:
"Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against her mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And he said also to the multitudes: When you see a cloud rising from the west, presently you say: A shower is coming: and so it happeneth: And when ye see the south wind blow, you say: There will be heat: and it cometh to pass. You hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the heaven and of the earth: but how is it that you do not discern this time? And why even of yourselves, do you not judge that which is just? And when thou goest with thy adversary to the prince, whilst thou art in the way, endeavour to be delivered from him: lest perhaps he draw thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the exacter, and the exacter cast thee into prison. I say to thee, thou shalt not go out thence, until thou pay the very last mite."
Wonder if Francis, the bishop of Rome ever read this in the seminary in Argentina?
Good question.
All I know is almost everything he says contradicts what Christ told us to follow. So, good luck with that but I'm sticking with unity on thinking with Christ and advising everyone else to do the same!
Good times. LOL
This is a shot at those who do not thing the faith is a do it yourself project. He is speaking to orthodox and Traditional Catholics. We are the swine who won't get into line. The beatings will stop when we are all happy together.
Amen! Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.
And
And we charge you brethren, in the ame of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not according to the tradition which they received of us.
Call them like they are,, A wolf in sheeps clothing is being more and more evident.
