And Now for Something Completely Different

So, in yesterdays general audience, Pope Francis said that people 'in a state of serious' sin are unworthy to receive the Blessed Sacrament.

"We know that one who has committed a serious sin should not approach Holy Communion without having first obtained absolution in the sacrament of Reconciliation."

BadaBing BadaBoom

I must confess, this is a big improvement to this week's circus with Pope Benedict. I was starting to worry they would get ventriloquists to pretend the incorruptible saints in Rome are opining that Amoris Laetitia is in perfect harmony with Familiaris Consortio.

I wish I could be more grateful for this statement. I really do.

The problem is, a whole lot of people 'don't know'. Unfaithful pastors have confused generations of Catholics. The Holy Father spent the last five years waterboarding the teachings of the Church and those who practice it. This statement is nowhere near enough to clarify his five years of praising the theology of apostates.

I am sorry to say it.

He needs to round up the press for one of his infamous plane interviews and say "I'm very sorry for the damage I've done to the salvation of your relatives with my ambiguity and gushing over episcopal heretics. I would like to correct the misunderstandings I've caused..."

Then, take the long list of theological errors and confirm authentic Church teaching for every one of them. Vow to only use theologians who are faithful to Church teaching to speak on his behalf in the future.

A plane ride interview might have to circle the earth five or six times before he could address them all, but, that might undo some of the damage he's done to the people we love.

Seriously, this can't be fixed by rounding up faithful theologians to give him glowing reviews or throwing a bone of orthodoxy into the theological mess he's created.

All we want is the Dubia answered. We want his mistakes corrected for the record in writing. He owes us that. He owes our children and our children's children. He owes Christ.

Just cut the baloney and answer the Dubia!

???????? What can you say to this????? What happened to all of his 'Francis MERCY'??? First, it's A OK....in certain circumstances that is......and now it's NOT??? Schizophrenia at its best. What IS going on with this guy??? Sins of the flesh are just minor......using too much air conditioning?? Not so much. Just when you think it couldn't possibly get any crazier..............IT DOES.

I gotta be honest, I am unimpressed.

Pope Francis and the Vatican boys are taking heat for the Benedict letter, therefore Pope Francis tosses out a orthodox bone to take the heat off... It is a pattern that has occured repeatedly.

Unfortunately much of what Pope Francis' says trends with the blowing wind, tomorrow or the day after he will say something completely different.

For me spiritual survival means to either not listen or ignore all the chaos from Rome and bury myself it good solid Catholic books.

One orthodox statement does not a springtime of repentance make.

Sorry, but does the scandalous monster Jorge Bergoglio not understand that the same applies to him?

He makes me want to vomit.

How I wish he was an old friend, so I could plainly show him where the bear sh*t in the buckwheat.

"We know that one who has committed a serious sin should not approach Holy Communion without having first obtained absolution in the sacrament of Reconciliation."

So obviously someone in an illicit second marriage is not in a state of sin. Got to read between the lines.

Anonymous,

Yes. I'm not sure it was his intention, but, unfortunately, that's exactly the sad consequence of what he's said and done and not said and not done for the past five years. Much prayer is needed!
