The cock crows twice on Maundy Thursday:

Scalfari claims the Pope told him that there is no hell, condemned souls simply vanish.

"They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."

Denying the existence of Hell and the immortality of a soul.

Brace yourself. It hasn't hit midnight here in the US, so there's still time for the third whopper.

Journalists are reporting 'the Vatican' denies the Holy Father renounced Church teaching, but if you ask me, their statement seems mamby-pamby:

In a statement released on Mar. 29, after Scalfari's report garnered worldwide attention, the Vatican said:

"The Holy Father Francis recently received the founder of the newspaper La Repubblica in a private meeting on the occasion of Easter, without however giving him any interviews. What is reported by the author in today’s article [in La Repubblica] is the result of his reconstruction, in which the textual words pronounced by the Pope are not quoted. No quotation of the aforementioned article must therefore be considered as a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father."

This is worthless.

What inquiring minds want to know is, what DID the pope say?

It does seem far-fetched. But, if Scalfari is the devil's useful idiot, why does the pope keep giving him ammunition?

Is anyone "SHOCKED!!!" by his statement?

Round up the usual suspects!

The devil doesn't want us to believe in either him or in hell. So, here we have Pope Francis promoting the devil's message. Does not this mean that Pope Francis is doing the work of the devil.

See Ann Barnhardt for more on this.

If he didn't say this EXACTLY word for word, he must have some something similar to convey the 'idea' of the sinners soul just 'vanishing'. Oh! And this isn't the FIRST time he has proclaimed a similar 'theology'.....'supposedly'. If he absolutely did not say such, HE HIMSELF should have issued a statement and REAFFIRMED the very words of CHRIST, and thus of CHURCH TEACHING! It's his JOB and RESPONSIBILITY to do so!! After all, this has been WIDELY circulated in the main stream media. There are not many media outlets that haven't RUN WITH THIS STORY. I read many 'predictions' when Bergoglio was first elected that we should watch for signs in him possibly being the 'False Prophet' of the Bible. At the time, I didn't buy that one for a N.Y. second. NOW? I'm not so sure he's not. For this to come out during the holiest time of our liturgical year is NOT A COINCIDENCE. This is a DIABOLICAL attack from Satan himself.

Fast and pray, for today is GOOD FRIDAY! Spend as much time with our crucified Lord as possible today, and (as Fr. Hunwick has said) pray for this Pope to be the kind of Pope that the Sacred Heart of Jesus intends him to be! Today is also the start of the Divine Mercy Novena. Pray the chaplet for sinners. (and don't forget your ROSARY too!)

Along with the belief in hell he’s saying the SOUL is not everlasting, it just vanishes! Heresy!

Why does Pope Francis keep allowing Scalfari to interview him? Simple. Plausible deniability on the Pope's part. The confusion masks the fact that his ideas, especially when not directly challenged, can gradually ferment and become part of Church teaching. This is exactly what happened concerning the Church's view of Islam: https://onepeterfive.com/nostra-aetate-mohammedans/
