North Korea and the Taliban Mark Another Milestone in Barack's Nobel Peace Prize by Testing Nuke Missiles

With Obama proving he will not defend the sovereignty of United States against any threat because he empathizes with the terrorists (he'll bend over and kiss their rings, release their militants from war camps, leave our soldiers as sitting ducks and ignore the building up of nuclear arsenals - etc.)North Korea and the Taliban are advancing and improving their nuclear technology to fire catastrophic weapons.

SEOUL, Oct. 12 (Yonhap) -- North Korea fired two short-range missiles into the East Sea on Monday afternoon, a government source said.

The missiles were launched south of Musudan-ri, North Hamgyeong Province, according to the source. North Korea has declared a navigation ban in waters off its east and west coasts from Oct. 10 to 20, the source added.

The Taliban has seized nuclear-armed Pakistan's Army headquarters and the stunning response of Obama, courtesy of Hillary Clinton, is that this poses no threat to the United States.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday the Taliban siege of Pakistan's army headquarters showed extremists are a growing threat in the nuclear-armed American ally, but she contended they don't pose a risk to the country's atomic arsenal.

This of course was said from her globetrotting hops around the globe waiting for Iran to "prove" their nuclear armament are a manifestation of their peaceful intentions.

Clinton, in London on the second leg of a five-day tour of Europe and Russia, also joined British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in warning Iran that they would not wait long for the Islamic republic to convince the world that its nuclear intentions are peaceful....

Miliband told reporters at a joint news conference with Clinton that although Pakistan faced a "mortal threat" from extremists, there was no danger of its nuclear weapons being compromised.

He scolded those who might raise the suggestion. "I think it's very important that alarmist talk is not allowed to gather pace," he said.

This sort of blindness to what is happening isn't of human origin.

It's blimy.

The kind of blindness that sets in when you're on the road to perdition. The things in our lives get dark and dreary enough that we turn to God in our desperation.

In the Bible, God's not-so-subtle character witness is Saul.

There he was riding around town on his horse as a bounty hunter, looking for Christians to bind and drag into Jerusalem to be persecuted, when he gets struck by God with enough force to knock him off his horse and blind him.

And he trembling and astonished, said: Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

I'd love to say I've never been in a place in my life when I was defying God in one way or another and was so self-absorbed that I was this deceived.

Been there, done that.

Luckily, I wasn't in charge of the sovereignty and safety of the United States.

I have to wonder though where they're getting the notion that talking to people all nice like who are building and firing missiles is the roadmap to world peace.

Maybe what we should have done during Ted Kennedy's funeral was invite all the yahoos into the Cuban Missile Crisis exhibit to see if we could wake some of them out of their comas.

President John F. Kennedy's reaction to the Soviet Union missile camp in Cuba bought us 47 years, with the help of other Presidents who stood strong against the wiles of terrorists.

It looks like the sand in the hourglass is getting low. Just like every Nation before us who tried to alienate God from its power, God will lift his protective hand to bring the empire and its inhabitants to our knees, if He doesn't, in mercy, destroy us all together.

Iran, Cowardice and IceCream

Pat Buchanan has a piece about the uprising in Iran over at Human Events.

Authoritarian rulers who recoil at bloodshed to preserve their power have not fared well.

Louis XVI let the mob lead him away from Versailles, which he never saw again. When artillery captain Bonaparte asked one of the late king's ministers why Louis had not used his cannons, the minister is said to have replied, "The king of France does not use artillery on his own people."

To which Napoleon is said to have replied, "What an idiot."

Buchanan has a short memory?

Sometimes authoritarian rulers trying to preserve oppressive regimes send artillery for bloodshed and they lose. In fact, a little more than 225 years ago, our country was founded by men with enough spinal fortitude to respond to British soldiers. We've got memorials here all over town to prove it. We've got graveyards in Boston dedicated to the heroes. Tourists come to visit and often leave flowers in a gesture of gratitude.

If you have the stomach to see what the Iranian government does to women the videoclip is here.

While the corrupt regime stole the election, the big sissy in the Oval Office went for icecream. White House has ignored the goings on and in a news blackout, tried to report news on the Obama's icecream outing.

CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller has been doing some in-depth reporting on the president's trip to an ice cream parlor this afternoon. He reports that "Obama had vanilla frozen custard in a cup with hot fudge and toasted almonds." He reports that "Sasha had a Brownie sundae: vanilla frozen yogurt, hot fudge, cherry, sprinkles and whipped cream (which she asked Dad to scrape off)." He reports that "Malia had vanilla frozen custard in a waffle cone." And, "You're gonna laff: Obama & the girls actually bought Frozen Puppy pops for Bo: flavors: pumpkin, peanut butter and yogurt…"

When some twitterers complained that maybe President Obama's time could be better spent given the crisis in Iran, Knoller responded, "Surprised by the outrage at the ice cream outing. What is it you expect or want the US to do about Iran? Attack? War?"

How about make a statement at least recognizing the situation? You certainly don't have to take a position for or against the regime or the oppressed at this juncture - but you can announce that the US has it's eye on the volatile situation, is concerned. Reporting the icecream adventures is creepy, frankly. Creepy and cowardly.

Buchanan continues:

For six days, the world has watched riveted as hundreds of thousands of Iranians peacefully protested what they believe was a stolen election, challenging the ayatollah who validated it just hours after the polls closed. For six days, the regime, born of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, has been leaking legitimacy and credibility in the eyes of its own people, the Islamic world, the whole world.

Why interfere? Why turn a widening confrontation between the Ayatollah Khamenei and the people into a spat between the president of the United States and the president of Iran?

It is impossible to believe a denunciation of the regime by Obama will cause it to stay its hand if it believes its power is imperiled. But it is certain that if Obama denounces Tehran, those demonstrators will be portrayed as dupes and agents of America before and after they meet their fate.

Agreed. But there did not have to be a denunciation or an affirmation but rather, an acknowledgment, a show of concern from the most powerful nation in the world.

A statesman goes for icecream and reports on it as it plays itself out?

Civil war won this man the freedom to be where he is today. Under his leadership, our men would have been taking their families to the icecream store, without commentary, while the government tried to gain control over the rebels and the slaves.

American history memorializes men who were inspired and courageous enough to take up arms to free those oppressed in slavery.

What the President has made clear with his reaction, is that the country is run by a coward and a sissy. Not good for the sovereignty of our nation.

In response to GOP pressure and mounting criticism, Obama was nice enough to take a 30 minute time out of golfing and icecreaming to make a statement.

Though Obama was playing golf on Sunday, Father's Day, he also met privately for more than 30 minutes with foreign policy advisers in the Oval Office to discuss the Iranian situation. He expressed concern about the violence and "unjust actions" in the country, according to an aide.

While Hawaii residents are unnerved as North Korea prepares for a long-range missile test launch around July 4th - the President of the United States does nothing. I was around five when President Kennedy handled the Cuban Missile Crisis I remember the entire nation on the edge of their seats as The President and his Administration demanded the Soviets dismantle and destroy the missiles and the sites in Cuba, placed a naval blockade, militarily prepared to protect and defend the United States. The Soviets backed down.

This individual (I refuse to use the word "man") is oblivious and detached, scheduling appearances on Jay Leno, playing golf, giving us a formal press release of what he and his daughters bought on their ice cream outing.

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall eat every ice cream, bear any putt stroke, meet any celebrity, support any fiend, oppose any pro-lifer, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty"
