In Egypt, Obama's 'democrats' engaged in the second day of attacks on a monestary using ammunition and crying Victory, Victory.

Cairo: February 24, 2011. (By Mary Abdelmassih AINA) For the second time in as many days, Egyptian armed force stormed the 5th century old St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi el-Natroun, 110 kilometers from Cairo. Live ammunition was fired, wounding two monks and six Coptic monastery workers. Several sources confirmed the army's use of RPG ammunition. Four people have been arrested including three monks and a Coptic lawyer who was at the monastery investigating yesterday's army attack.

Monk Aksios Ava Bishoy told activist Nader Shoukry of Freecopts the armed forces stormed the main entrance gate to the monastery in the morning using five tanks, armored vehicles and a bulldozer to demolish the fence built by the monastery last month to protect themselves and the monastery from the lawlessness which prevailed in Egypt during the January 25 Uprising.

"When we tried to address them, the army fired live bullets, wounding Father Feltaows in the leg and Father Barnabas in the abdomen," said Monk Ava Bishoy. "Six Coptic workers in the monastery were also injured, some with serious injuries to the chest."

The injured were rushed to the nearby Sadat Hospital, the ones in serious condition were transferred to the Anglo-Egyptian Hospital in Cairo.

Father Hemanot Ava Bishoy said the army fired live ammunition and RPGs continuously for 30 minutes, which hit part of the ancient fence inside the monastery. "The army was shocked to see the monks standing there praying 'Lord have mercy' without running away. This is what really upset them," he said. "As the soldiers were demolishing the gate and the fence they were chanting 'Allahu Akbar' and 'Victory, Victory'".

He also added that the army prevented the monastery's car from taking the injured to hospital.

The army also attacked the Monastery of St. Makarios of Alexandria in Wady el-Rayan, Fayoum, 100 km from Cairo. It stormed the monastery and fired live ammunition on the monks. Father Mina said that one monk was shot and more than ten have injuries caused by being beaten with batons.

"Marriage has been understood for millennia and across cultures as the union of one man and one woman," the office said in a statement issued Feb. 23 after President Barack Obama instructed the Justice Department to stop defending the federal law passed by Congress and signed into law in 1996 by President Bill Clinton.

I have to restrain myself from listing the names of priests and parishes who have been teaching homosexuals to shack up for the last decade with the full support of the Archbishop of Boston. Some of them are shacking up with their lovers themselves.

Really, after the USCCB has been for 40 years working to elect politicians who have taken the morals of this country to the gutter, the last thing I want to see coming out of them is another publicity stunt. It's like reading a press release admonishing hookers and drug dealers from Charlie Sheen.


Remember the hoopla here a few weeks back in Boston about the need to redistrict what constitutes a parish because all the money and people disappeared? The Cardinal pulled together the usual suspects (called it a pastoral planning commission) to figure out the needs of Catholics and map out a 'pastoral plan'? Back at 66 Brooks Drive, the geniuses gathered. Archdiocescan Pastoral Council and the Archbishop think one of the problems is, Catholic teaching is unfriendly to women and gays and something must be done about it.

In the meeting minutes posted HERE, it was pronounced that planning for the Archdiocese needs to be "bold, prophetic, proactive and based upon the person of Jesus Christ".

I never thought of Christ as 'a person' before. They come up with the craziest things up there. One time, a group of diocesan dames decided catechesis was going to be based on 'two men with beards and a bird'.

I know you're thinking 'there she goes again, exaggerating'. But it is the God's honest truth. The catechetical theme one year in this archdiocese was two men with beards and a bird.

You've got to read the minutes in their entirety.

Here's your first clue they won't be finished until well before the archdiocese goes bankrupt:

After a year of intense research and consultation, the current
downward trajectory of our parishes appears unhealthy and unsustainable.

Think about it. That conclusion took a year of intense research and consultation! There won't be any nominations for the sharpest tools in the shed award from this team.

Who will make the planning decisions in the parish—the pastor or the parishioners? Fr. David replied that competent administration of a parish requires collaboration of the pastor, the Parish Pastoral Council and the Parish Finance Council.

After some discussion, a consensus was reached about how to best respond to such messages. Council members should refrain from responding individually to these emails. A designated representative will send an acknowledgement to the person advising him/her that their message will be forwarded to the Cardinal and Fr. Erikson. It is Fr. Erikson’s policy to respond to persons who identify themselves, but not to anonymous writers.

As the Archdiocese finishes the demolition of Catholic identity with their 'consensus', the APC was told they can't respond to the concerns of lay people.

Obama Tips His Hand

Obama appears to be tipping his hand in this weekend's upcoming 60 Minutes interview.

He's going to fine tune the art of persuasion

“I think that’s a fair argument. I think that, over the course of two years we were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that, we stopped paying attention to the fact that leadership isn’t just legislation. That it’s a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone,” Mr. Obama told 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft in an exclusive interview set to air Sunday.

“Making an argument that people can understand,” Mr. Obama continued, “I think that we haven’t always been successful at that. And I take personal responsibility for that. And it’s something that I’ve got to examine carefully … as I go forward.”

"it’s a matter of persuading people..giving them confidence... bringing them together...setting a tone..as *I* go forward."

I'm intrigued by his use of the word "I".

Is this Obama's personal vision of saving the DNC agenda or his own political career, or is this the overall strategy of the DNC?

Are Americans ripe for accepting the re-invention of his acts of persuasion now that they've had two years of seeing what he meant by 'change'?

Being forced into socialized medicine, taking more cash out of your pocket and bankrupting our future to pay for houses, money, cars and insurance for lazy people who don't have the ambition to work for it themselves, making our own soldiers and police the boogeyman while releasing terrorists and shutting down Guantanamo, making prolifers a bigger threat to national security than unibombers and muslim terrorists, kissing the ring of a Saudi King and persuading us to accept the violent philosophy of mulims to be enshrined where they killed thousands of Americans and crippled our country, a place where there is no certainty of truth and justice and there is no place for God in the public square....

Is there a way Obama can set a tone persuasive enough for Americans to have confidence in him again?

Wow.  He really has a tin ear to the reasons why the people are finished with him.  He thinks he just wasn't manipulative enough with the words he uses.

I'm sure there's a certain faction at the DNC who will go along with trying to salvage the cult of Obama but my gut tells me the interview with 60 minutes is more about his own personal redemption than political strategy for the DNC.   As others have mentioned, Pelosi's stampede to lead the minority is like putting the face of Obama's new tone to be exactly the same legislative efforts, with exactly the same characters with him setting the tone of contrition and finding common ground.

Having peace talks with Al Queida so the American people can distance themselves from the human atrocities of killing women who took off their scarves or spoke to an American or imagined adultery, the cult of pedophilia and killing their countrymen at will, and be at peace with our inertia and cowardice isn't the freedom, liberty and justice for all our country was built upon.

This country will never follow this retreat.

It is not the Battle Hymn of this Republic.

Once upon a time, you dressed so fine, threw the bums a dime, in your prime, didn't you?

You remember from September to the election in November of 2008, public schools were lobbying students for Obama?


We saw kindergartners singing "Mmm, mmmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama", and all the way up to the high school, students were being brainwashed about the coming messiah?


I think I mentioned this before, but my youngest (who was in her junior year) was even a little influenced by it.  For Christmas, one of her friends thought it would be funny to donate an Obama poster so she could put it up in her room to annoy her conservative mother.


A hearty har har it was.  


Not too long after the election and television was a 24/7 infomercial for Obama (remember those days??) disenchantment set in and I would find her sneering and talking all cynical under her breath at the television when he was on.    


I don't know where she'd pick up that habit from.   


[Ahem] Moving right along.


Anyhoo, the poster disappeared.


Over the last few months, she's been organizing her room and things to get ready for college and today when I got home, she was as proud as a peacock to show me where she put the poster.


A proud Mommy moment I thought was a good visual for the disenchantment meme picking up momentum.


You've all seen the economic news by now?   Unemployment is way up.  


The "economic recovery" (as predicted) was killed by the rising costs of having to pay for health insurance for people who sit home and watched cartoons while the rest of us were studying and working our tails off.    

Obama noted that in the last few months of 2009, businesses with fewer than 50 employees accounted for 60 percent of the job losses in the U.S.

It's killing small business owners.  And, way ahead of the predictions.


Forecasts on what this situation could potentially mean ranges from stalled recovery to the Second Great Depression.


What a difference a year makes.

This week, there's all kinds of speculation as to why momentum is growing behind the conviction that Obama lied about his religion.

Is it because he was 'born a Muslim'? 

That's sure part of it.    His name is another clue.    His paper trail indicates he claimed he was an Indonesian citizen - the worlds largest Muslim nation.  He's been pandering to Muslim terrorists from the get go - throwing our soldiers under the bus and releasing the Muslim terrorists they've captured.  He's made attempts at destabilizing and demoralizing our police forces and our CIA until it was clear our country was not quite ripe enough for the brainwashing.  This week, he used his platform to give momentum to erect a Muslim shrine feet from where radical Muslim terrorists left a hole and 3,000 dead. It simply confirmed what has been suspect all along.


Last week, he was a pathetic sight when he went to Florida for a photo op, swimming in the ocean to generate some tourism and trust after the drink was polluted with oil on his watch and nobody gave a crap.


There has to be pandemonium at the Kennedy School of Government.

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, a lot like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy towards people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Who is bitter now.

Today's News on the Jihad Mosque

Just when you think this big old world can't get any crazier, it appears that in a sanity contest between Barack Obama and NY Gov. David Paterson, Paterson is the saner of the two of them.

You heard me right. When it comes to honesty and sanity, Obama lags behind Paterson.

On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.), who faces a tough re-election race this fall, issued a statement in which he declared support for moving the mosque to an alternate location.

Republicans -- particularly those looking at running for president in 2012 -- have hammered away at Obama and Democrats for insensitivity and ignoring the wishes of families of some of those killed in the attacks.

Last week, Paterson offered state assistance if the mosque's developers would agree to move the project farther from the site -- an idea they rejected. Paterson said that, while he had "no objection" to the project as planned, he was "very sensitive to the desire of those who are adamant against it to see something else worked out."

"I think it's rather clear that building a center there meets all the requirements, but it does seem to ignite an immense amount of anxiety among the citizens of New York and people everywhere, and I think not without cause," Paterson said at an Aug. 10 news conference in Manhattan, according to published reports. He noted that "we really are still suffering in many respects" from the Sept. 11 attacks.

Whooda thunkit?

In some ways, we are sure to get a lot of mileage out of this Obama blunder if they don't shuffle the "religion" (that grant's license to decapitate women and burns children alive on the whims of men) ten miles down the street and cleans up the doo doo before the November elections .

Pelosi added fuel to the fire by throwing her weight behind the jihad memorial a 'zoning issue'.

How long do you think society would let Catholics mutilate the genitalia of women and stone them to death and keep quiet about it?   Put up with a President who keeps quiet about it and calls out for tolerance and religious freedom?

You know, the principles this country was founded on.

This is a zoning issue folks.  A zoning issue.

A religion of peace.

As Cardinal O'Malley said, the issue is about " important symbols of how much we value religious freedom".

This is the same guy, mind you, who didn't bother reporting the True Relic of the Holy Cross was stolen for two weeks and didn't bother going up to retrieve It for more than a week after the police called them to say they recovered it.

The duplicity is staggering.

Even Barbara Boxer's camp had the sense to  distance themselves from Obama's intellectual dishonesty.

"We all support religious freedom -- I don't think that's what its about. I think it's now about the sensitivities of people who lost loved ones and honestly I think we ought to leave it up to the community of New York to work this through," Fiorina says in the blog.

 Who will have the decency to say that the Muslim religion is one where too many promote violence to Muslim women and children and jihad upon America.

In a country where we do not tolerate clerics who sweep rapes of children under the rug in the name of religion, we should have zero tolerance for clerics and Presidents who pretend the violence in the Muslim religion doesn't exist.

We need to raise a biggest stinerkoo this side of Boston Tea party if they think they're going to put a Muslim memorial over the graves of those who lost their lives on September 11th.

Republicans Seek to Make Ground Zero Mosque an Issue in November Elections

Nationally, 68 percent of Americans said they opposed building the mosque two blocks from the target of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, in an Aug. 6-10 poll conducted for CNN.

BTW - Has anyone else aside from Cardinal O'Malley rushed to the defense of Barack Hussein Obama pretending they don't see the women and children who are oppressed, beaten and abused by Muslim men every day all across the globe?

With so many people refusing to ignore the pile of broken bodies of women and children and 3000 dead Americans in Manhattan, what exactly is the burden of moving the mosque ten miles down the road?

Islam is not a religion of peace - except for its members of course.  Try to leave Islam and become Christian - off with your head.  Fall in love and have sex with an infidel or outside marriage, the punishment goes from hanging to stoning and off with the head.

There's plenty of pictures around the internet of this 'religion of peace'. Women who rejected marriage proposals, read something Christian, talk to an American soldier, painted their toenails.

Support of this effort is insidious and an insult to decent human beings.

Obama and the Mosque at the 911 site

As everyone knows by now, Muslims are erecting an in your face monument to their victories at the 911 site in New York.

Barack Hussein Obama, not surprisingly, backed the Muslim effort.

What is offensive to anyone who is logical, is his use of the inane soundbyte that the controversy is all about 'religious freedom'

"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances," he said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable."


Seriously?

It isn't a building of a mosque that the American people object to, it is the place where they want to build it, given the carnage at the hands of their own people.

It would be the same disrespect of Germans proposing to build a Nazi museum over Auschwitz and having the President in the White House saying this is all about "freedom of speech".

Like the Klu Klux Klan building a Confederate Meeting House over the historical park at Gettysburg, it is a symbol and an act of defiance and a monument of their hatred.

There is no respect for the dead or for our country in the Muslim effort to build a mosque at a site where their own people committed the heinous acts on September 11th.


What else would we expect from Obama, with the middle name of Hussein, who refused to release his birth certificate when the information was found that he registered as a Muslim citizen of another country.

Obama elevated it to a presidential issue Friday without equivocation.

While insisting that the place where the towers once stood was indeed "hallowed ground," Obama said that the proper way to honor it was to apply American values.

"Our capacity to show not merely tolerance, but respect to those who are different from us - a way of life that stands in stark contrast to the nihilism of those who attacked us on that September morning, and who continue to plot against us today," he said.

My contempt for this filthy animal probably is in need of a confessor.

Sarah Palin has stayed on his tail.

In his speech, Obama said: "I understand the emotions that this issue engenders. Ground Zero is, indeed, hallowed ground."

Palin lashed out in her brief post. "Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people?" she wrote. "Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade."

"My intention was to simply let people know what I thought, which was that in this country we treat everyone equally, in accordance with the law, regardless of race regardless of religion. I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making a decision to put a mosque there."

Later in the day, White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton said Obama was not backing down on his Friday night remarks. Instead, Burton said, "It is not his role as president to pass judgment on every local project."

We treat everyone equal do we.

How would he feel about David Duke building a place of worship across the street from the White House?


Like some Roman Catholic Bishops around town, Barack Hussein Obama thinks everyone is ignorant of what is going down.

One Palin follower wrote: "Doesn't this shlub Obama read history? The Muslims for centuries have built mosques on top of areas where there have won a major victory. They believe that killing over 3000 Americans is a major victory."

John Boehner echoes the the sentiment of Americans:

"This is not an issue of law, whether religious freedom or local zoning," said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. "This is a basic issue of respect for a tragic moment in our history." 

Another comment worth reading:

Sen. John Cornyn, D-Texas, on Fox News Sunday: "It's unwise to build a mosque at the site where 3,000 Americans lost their lives as a result of a terrorist attack. And I think to me it demonstrates that Washington, the White House, the administration, the president himself seems to be disconnected from the mainstream of America." 

The governor of New York has offered to find another location for the mosque but has thus far been rejected.

Are all Muslims responsible for 911?

No.  But when a large number of your own people hate America and plot and carry out an attack upon our country, there is dignity and respect owed to the victims of the act.

This is why, though this generation and the many before it are not responsible for slavery, there are many efforts in this country to this day that are sensitive to what happened and go overboard in offering palliative initiatives to the wounds created by those years.

There is no excuse for this in your face monument to the victories of death and destruction, or of the President's support for the effort.

Realizing Obama has crossed the Rubicon, the White House is out recalibrating the message:

Faced with withering Republican criticism of his defense of the right of Muslims to build a community center andmosque near ground zero, President Obama quickly recalibrated his remarks on Saturday, a sign that he has waded into even more treacherous political waters than the White House had at first realized.

Check this out:

“I was not commenting, and I will not comment, on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there,” Mr. Obama said. “I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding. That’s what our country is about.” 

But the locus of putting a mosque "there"  is the precise nature of the controversy.  

He is pretending this is the first mosque in America?

There are mosques all over our country.  

This indignity and disrespect by the Muslims should be vehemently protested and it should be the final nail in the coffin of the political career of Barack Hussein Obama.

Along with, I might add, the political aspirations of Charlie Crist:

"...Alex Sink, the Democratic candidate for governor here, distanced herself, while Gov. Charlie Crist, a Republican-turned-independent, defended the president."

Boehner Calls Bill Armageddon

The next 24 hours are "armageddon" because the health care bill proposed by Democrats will "ruin our country," House Minority Leader John Boehner said Saturday, a day before a crucial vote on the bill in the House.

Obama accused the Republicans of not wanting the bill to pass because it will prove how innocuous the government takeover of medicine was all along.

We're on the cliff.

The USCCB circulated a letter to lawmakers last night, telling them to vote "no" if fixes aren't made to the bill. 

"The Senate bill extends abortion coverage, allows federal funds to pay for elective abortions (for example, through a new appropriation for services at Community Health Centers that bypasses the Hyde amendment), and denies adequate conscience protection to individuals and institutions," the letters states in explaining the reasons for the bishops' opposition.

I don't mean to undermine the effort because at least they did something but this is the moment to grab your testosterone by the bootstraps and man up.

The letter should have said this is the line in the sand and Catholic Hospitals will be shutting down as soon as we can transfer patients to secular hospitals if this bill passes; that this bill threatens takes away life-giving medical treatment to seniors and the poorest of the poor; the effective elimination of trickle up poverty and eradication of the middle class is such a threat to the sanctity and dignity of human life that anyone who votes "yes" will be publicly excommunicated on Monday.

I am really sick to death of wimpy "letters" from prelates about the raping and killing of our children at the hands of sociopaths and selfish narcissists.

They don't fool those of us on the ground in hand-to-hand battles. The dozen or so of us here in Boston who worked tirelessly to stop Cardinal O'Malley from making money for his hospitals by signing abortion contracts saw exactly how "sorry" the Bishops, Cardinals and prelates are all the way to the top. They are not sorry enough to take the murdering of children for money seriously. They simply permitted the Cardinal to cover up what is really going on by rearranging Partnership and Operating Agreements and providing the media with falsehoods that he ended the arrangement. It was a lie and is a lie that is being covered up by the American Bishops and the highest levels at the Vatican.


Further, these Bishops used the opportunity to break the backs of the American workforce buckling with trying to stretch our dollar to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table to provide for illegal aliens in the bill:

"The Senate bill would not only continue current law that denies legal immigrants access to Medicaid for five years, but also prohibit undocumented immigrants from buying insurance for their families in the exchanges using their own money," the letter adds. "These provisions could leave immigrants and their families worse off, and also hurt the public health of our nation."

Perhaps these benefits should be paid for out of the Bishop's Appeal?

Who do they think can afford this?

We are killing ourselves out here trying to make ends meet while their endless supply of money simply keeps refilling their coffers. They have no idea what the middle class working slobs are up against.

Several weeks back the apostates at America Magazine initiated a discussion about how the cause of abortion is not moral decay but a matter of economics. Their answer was to give mothers 800 dollars per child. I tried to ask who they think can live on 800 dollars a month but the editor there, Tim Riedy, would not permit the questions to be posted. (They deliberately keep logic and factual information from their readers) Living expenses for single parents is a minimum of 62,000 dollars a year just to get by. I tried to post the breakdown of these expenses, which came from many secular sources - but again, Riedy would not let the breakdown post. Truly creepy what is going on over there but then again, should not be surprising as they deliberately twist the authentic path to salvation, the most offensive crime against humanity.  

We're crossing the rubicon of people into the slavery of sin and poverty and the kicker is it's being sold as a virtue.

OBAMARXISM

The louder America speaks, the less this administration seems to listen.

The tribe has spoken clearly on health care: 73 percent want this bill scrapped; 52 percent are against the reforms altogether. President Obama came out Wednesday and said he's just going forward and using reconciliation. But America opposes use of reconciliation by a 52 to 39 percent margin.

And even he seemed to oppose the "50-plus-one" option in 2007:

THEN-SENATOR BARACK OBAMA: You've got to break out of what I call, sort of, the 50-plus-one pattern of presidential politics. Maybe you eke out a victory of 50-plus-one, then you can't govern. You know, you get Air Force One, I mean there are a lot of nice perks, but you can't deliver on health care. We're not going to pass universal health care with a 50-plus-one strategy.

 Are there really 51 Democrats willing to overthrow democracy of this country?


More importantly, are there 51 narcissists willing to give up their seat in November in order for Obama to overthrow democracy?

I'll repeat what I've been saying all along:  I think Our Lord has been demonstrating for quite some time that voting the lesser of two evils is partnering with evil any way you slice it and the fruit will continue to it's trajectory of destruction.

In the Transfiguration, Christ showed that everything must center on Him to be of right service to humanity. Moses, representing the law and social order, defers to Him, as does Elijah, representing the intellect and spiritual order. The Church recounts this in Lent, because Jesus revealed His glory in preparation for the Crucifixion.

     Christ’s glory sheds light on His three temptations in the wilderness. Satan tested Him to see if He would succumb to the deceits of secularism (turning stones to bread, as though matter were the only thing that really matters) and power (control of governments in exchange for cooperating with evil) and fantasy (attaining celebrity by flouting the laws of nature).

     The Catholic Church is, as Pope John Paul II said, “expert in humanity.” Satan’s chief enemy is the Church, for this is Christ alive in the world. From hard experience the Church knows the temptations of secularism (reducing Christianity to philanthropic humanism), clericalism (bartering supernatural grace for social power) and subjectivism (living in a parallel universe contemptuous of moral reality).

     To succumb to these temptations is to die, both personally and institutionally. The latest figures show that those denominations that surrendered to “the spirit of the age” are vanishing. The liberal Protestant denominations are evaporating. One of their leaders has said that their numbers are dropping because their members are too well educated to have children. It is hardly intelligent to design one’s own demise. Our social fabric will have to adjust to the disappearance of these groups, which for a long while defined the public face of society. At the same time, the Catholic Church continues to grow, and would have done so even more had not many Catholics themselves yielded to the threefold temptations. In the most recently recorded year, 2007 to 2008, the number of Catholics worldwide increased by 19 million people. Priests increased from 405,178 to 409,166. Seminarians increased from 115,919 to 117,024. As in the religious orders, the growth is invariably in those where the Faith is kept.

     In the early nineteenth century, Tocqueville predicted that, one day, the only options in the United States would be Catholicism and unbelief. In the early twentieth century, Chesterton said that “every man would end up either in utter pessimistic skepticism or as a member of the Catholic creed.” In a famous vision, St. John Bosco saw little boats tying up with the Barque of Peter. This September, the Successor of Peter will speak in Westminster Hall on the very spot where St. Thomas More was sentenced to death (and eternal glory) for defending the papacy. This is not a time for self-satisfaction. It is a summons to Lenten penance for our own subtle dalliances with temptations against the Faith, in the hope that we may respond more faithfully to the work of saving souls.

Obama's healthcare bill is a loaded gun

Federal funding of abortion and other major problems with Obama's draft.

The Obama plan also violates his pledge to Congress and the American people that his version of health care reform would not force taxpayers to fund abortions.

In a September nationally-televised speech to Congress, Obama sought to clear up projections from pro-life advocates that his health care plan would fund abortions.

"One more misunderstanding I want to clear up -- under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions," Obama claimed.

Under the Senate health care bill that will be the main bill Obama and Democrats push through Congress, there is no ban on abortion funding. Wile some states can opt out of funding abortions under the plan, taxpayers in other states will be forced to pay for them.

But the bill contains other pro-abortion problems that are concerns for pro-life advocates.
The bill requires that at least one health care plan be promoted across the country that pays for abortions, more abortion funding would come via the affordability credits, and many of the so-called limits on abortion funding in the Senate bill are temporary and could expire or be overturned at a later date.

The Senate health care bill also pays for abortions under the Indian Health Service program.

And it contains the Mikulski amendment that would allow the Obama administration to define abortion as preventative care and force insurance plans to pay for abortions.

Finally, the Senate bill does not contain language needed to offer full conscience protection for pro-life medical workers and facilities.

When people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were

When he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the

When he started appointing "czars" (a communist term) that were radicals,
revolutionaries, and even avowed Marxist/Communists, people said it didn't

When he stood before the nation and told us that his intentions were to
"fundamentally transform this nation" into something else, people said it

When it became known that he had trained ACORN workers in Chicago and
served as an attorney for ACORN, people said it didn't matter.

When he appointed a science czar, John Holdren, who believes in forced
abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers,

"Explicit Consent", harvesting human organs with out family consent, and

it became known that he had a history of bad advice to teenagers, people

When Valerie Jarrett was selected as Obama's senior White House advisor

When Anita Dunn, White House Communications director said Mao Tse Tung was
her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for
inspiration,

When he appointed Carol Browner as global warming czar, and she is a well
known socialist working on Cap and trade as the nations largest tax,
people said it doesn't matter.

When he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as green
energy czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said

When Tom Daschle, Obama's pick for health and human services secretary
could not be confirmed, because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn't

When as president of the United States, he bowed to the King of Saudi

When he traveled around the world criticizing America and never once

When his actions concerning the middle-east seemed to support the

When he upset the Europeans by removing plans for a missile defense system
against the Russians, people said it doesn't matter.

When he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops the Field
Commanders said we had to have to win, people said it didn't matter.

When he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay
it off, people said it didn't matter.

When he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it
to pay off organizations, unions and individuals that got him elected,
people said it didn't matter.

When he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc. people
said it didn't matter.

When he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the
government, people said it didn't matter.

When he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it
under government control, people said it didn't matter.

When he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in
the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn't matter.

When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist
State, people finally woke up......... but it was too late.

Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter.
But.... when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that
points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over into
a Marxist/Socialist society.  All of the items in the preceding paragraphs
have been put into place.  All can be documented very easily.  Before you
disavow this, do an internet search.  The last paragraph alone is not yet
cast in stone.  You and I will write that paragraph.  Will it read as
above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America ?  Personally,
I like happy endings.

If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I
think the President of your choice is a socialist, but there are too many
facts supporting this.  If you seek the truth you will be richer for it.
Don't just belittle the opposition.  Search for the truth.  I did.
Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and
what have you, we all need to pull together.  We all must pull together or
watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish.  If you are a
religious person, pray for our nation.

Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with
problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy.
Don't rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for
the truth.  Search the internet.  Yes, there is a lot of bad information,
lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to spot the
fallacies.  Newspapers are a dying breed.  They are currently seeking a
bailout from the government.  Do you really think they are about to print
the truth?  Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who
he has waged war against.  There must be a reason.  He does not call them
down on any specifics, just a general battle against them.  If they lie,
he should call them out on it but he doesn't.  Please, find the truth, it
will set you free.

Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, Iran; no, our biggest enemy is a
contingent of politicians in Washington DC .

Obama is Pro Death Penalty?

Assemble the kangaroo court and go through the motions if you must, but the verdict is in: this guy is going to be convicted and put to death.

Geniuses running the country. Why not just paint a bullseye on NYC and clear air traffic for muslim extremists?

Anyway, where are all the cronies who whined about Bush, torture and the death penalty?

Maybe We Can't

Plagued by his own plummeting polls and playing to empty seats at a high-roller Hub fund-raiser, President Obama acknowledged yesterday that his close friend and political alter ego Gov. Deval Patrick faces a rough road to re-election.

“There really should be no doubt that this guy gets a second term. But let’s be honest. This is going to be a tough race,” Obama told a room barely half-full with 125 deep-pocketed Democrats who ponied up $6,000 for Patrick and the party. “Re-election is not a foregone conclusion because times are tough.”

In the most liberal state in the nation they can't even scrounge up 800 people for a swanky Presidential event?

Wow - what a swift blow to the aspirations of the Democrats from a year ago.

Making a Joke of the Nobel Peace Prize

With Iran assembling nuclear bombs and firing missiles in a display of defiance, Israel threatening to bomb Iran if sanctions are not in place by Christmas, and the President on the brink of sending 40,000 more American soldiers to Afghanistan, as everyone now knows, Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

He's a regular Mother Theresa.

The audible gasp in when the announcement was made says everything you need to say about giving a Nobel Peace Prize to a man who has done bupkis:



When the award prompted an inventory of the accomplishments for the prestigious award and came up empty, Norwegian officials explained that technically, you really don't have to do anything to receive a Nobel Peace Prize, you can simply sit at home and aspire.

The Nobel Peace Prize is about pontification, not substance.

You can escalate war, be such a spineless wimp that other countries launches tests of their weapons of mass destruction into the air and lead the country to be at everyone's throats, so long as you have a soapbox - you're a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway.

Leave it to Rahm Emanuel to conjure something meaningful out of an absurdity - he took the opportunity to claim the booby prize as a vindication of Copenhagen saying It's clear Oslo beats Copenhagen any day of the week.

Give credit where it's due, even Barack seemed to acknowledge the emptiness of the gesture in his response yesterday morning.

This stands out as a monument to the election and idolatry of an empty suit.

Rational people who voted for him can't mitigate the disaster.

'Oh no." It slipped out as I gazed upon the news -- Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize.

A strange reaction, since I like the guy, generally, voted for him, think he's doing an OK job in the face of strong, sometimes crazy opposition.

But I'm not a foaming devotee, not the false stereotype those who hate him like to conjure up to give themselves something to sneer at. Obama's too political for my liking, too cautious, deferential to his party, timid on gay rights.

But he's trying, and his job just got harder with this goofy prize. Not just because the Nobel Peace Prize will churn up his foes like piranhas in bloody water. Anything involving him sets them off.

But here they have a point -- the Nobel Peace Prize is tainted fruit. The Swedes give out the real Nobels -- in chemistry, in physics. The Peace Prize is given out by the Norwegians, and they are famous for doing a botch job. Three names: Henry Kissinger, Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter.

It's as featherbrained as awarding a Purple Heart to a coward.

Our soldiers in Afghanistan are sitting ducks

It's McChrystal clear that the President is out of the loop on what is going on in Afghanistan and his ignorance has now cost American soldiers their lives.

It began before dawn — a devastating, well-planned attack. About 300 insurgents swarmed out of a village and mosque and attacked a pair of isolated American outposts in a remote mountainous area of eastern Afghanistan with machineguns, rockets and grenades.

They first stormed the Afghan police post at the foot of the hill in the province of Nuristan, a Taleban and al-Qaeda stronghold on the lawless Pakistan border. They then swept up to the Nato post. The battle lasted all day. American and Afghan soldiers finally repelled them, with the help of US helicopters and warplanes — but at heavy cost.

Eight American soldiers and two Afghan policemen were killed, with many injured. It was the worst attack on Nato forces in 14 months, and one of the deadliest battles of the eight-year war.

International terrorists are watching Obama's disinterest and indecisiveness in Afghanistan. The world is far less safer place since Barack became President. It's anyone's guess how much impact his Tom Foolery will have on us.

President Obama's New Lie

Obama has added a new quid pro quo in his renewed charge for socialized medicine: economic recovery in the USA relies upon healthcare reform.

This is some plan. How does he propose that it will work?

In Obama's address to the Nation filled with such a plethora of deliberate misinformation that it caused Joe Wilson's outburst of "YOU LIE!", the President proudly laid the absurd claim to his victory over the economy.

But facts are stubborn things.

The news this week that close to 300,000 more people lost their job in September, bringing the unemployment rate to nearly 10% (17% if you include people whose hours have been scaled back to part-time), we're back to the "brink of disaster".

Our sophomoric leader is now exploiting this situation to once again float the notion that burdening the healthcare system with 50 million more people who can't afford to pay for it is the key to economic recovery.

In the essay linked above, Noel Sheppard quotes Obama and has some rational thoughts for the foolish and impractical ideas coming out of the White House:

But yesterday’s report on September job losses was a sobering reminder that progress comes in fits and starts, and that we will need to grind out this recovery step by step. [...]

It won’t be easy. It will require us to lay a new foundation for our economy – one that gives our workers the skills and education they need to compete; that invests in renewable energy and the jobs of the future; and that makes health care affordable for families and businesses – particularly small businesses, many of which have been overwhelmed by rising health care costs.

This is something I hear about from entrepreneurs I meet – people who’ve got a good idea, and the expertise and determination to build it into a thriving business. But many can’t take that leap because they can’t afford to lose the health insurance they have at their current job.

Excuse me, Mr. President, but as a small business owner myself, I can say with great certainty that anyone that can't afford health insurance on his own doesn't have the seed money to start a new business...PERIOD!

It isn't convoluted. It's straightforward. I can't help but think that the Harvard educated man knows this. It's getting harder and harder not to draw the foregone conclusion: Obama is deliberately lying.

Earlier this Summer,the Boston Medical Center (who serves the poorest of the poor in Boston) filed a lawsuit against the Patrick administration, alleging the state's landmark health care reform law hurts lower-income residents.


In a post I wrote in July, Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way, I spoke about how the experiment in socialized medicine is everything but merciful to the poor:

Catholics should be outraged that the poor are being used and exploited by the White House to swindle them out of benefits and life itself. Catholics United, Catholic Charities and other social pirates who are propagating the myth that this type of health care “reform” is about service to the poor should be vigorously castigated. The poor already have health coverage in combined federal- and state- subsidized programs. (For example, in Massachusetts, there is MassHealth – Medicaid and SCHIP.)

In Massachusetts, where health care “reform” was instituted in 2007, benefits have been siphoned off from the indigent and transferred to households earning $77,400 for a family of five. For a family of eight, the household income can be up to $111,080. But families earning $30,000, previously eligible for free health care, are burdened with premiums and co-payments costing nearly $10,000 for the least expensive plan.

In fact, in early July, Boston Medical Center (formerly known as Boston City Hospital, serving the poorest of the poor in Boston) filed a lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

The suit says the hospital will lose more than $100 million next year because the state has lowered Medicaid reimbursement rates and stopped paying Boston Medical “reasonable costs” for treating other poor patients.

“We filed this suit more in sorrow than in anger,” said Elaine Ullian, the hospital’s chief executive. “We believe in health care reform to the bottom of our toes, but it was never, ever supposed to be financed on the backs of the poor, and that’s what has happened in Massachusetts.”

The central charge in the suit is that the state has siphoned money away from Boston Medical to help pay the considerable cost of insuring all but a small percentage of residents…

According to the suit, Massachusetts is now reimbursing Boston Medical only 64 cents for every dollar it spends treating the poor. About 10 percent of the hospital’s patients are uninsured – down from about 20 percent before the law’s passage in 2006. But many more are on Medicaid or Commonwealth Care, the state-subsidized insurance program for low-income residents.

Astoundingly, with all the rancor and rhetoric from Democrats about the compassionate immigration policies absent in the Republican agenda, when the cost of operating “health care reform” produced an ever-growing deficit, 30,000 legal immigrants were the first people thrown under the bus by the Democrat-controlled Massachusetts legislature: 30,000 of them received letters of health care termination.

The cost of providing health care to the 30,000 immigrants is approximately $130 million a year. A vote on July 29 restored $40 million of the budget, leaving uncertainty about the effect of eliminating $90 million in coverage for permanent residents who have had green cards for less than five years.

In January, five years into the operation, the Patrick Administration admitted the pricetag on the experiment was soaring out of control and threatening to bankrupt the entire system.

Governor Deval Patrick yesterday accelerated his administration's efforts to control spiraling statewide healthcare costs, warning that rising premiums threaten to crush families and businesses and doom Massachusetts' groundbreaking experiment with universal insurance....

"The increases at this rate over time [are] just not sustainable, not for families, not to business, not for government," Patrick said at a news conference after the summit.

In today's news, hospital administrators across the Commonwealth are responding to "cost-cutting" ideas in the Patrick Administration.

Three months after a state commission proposed the bold plan to control exploding health care costs within five years, many hospital executives and doctors call it unrealistic, and say it could bankrupt some providers and compromise patient care if implemented too quickly and without major changes.

Ellen Zane, chief executive of Tufts Medical Center and president of the Massachusetts Hospital Association, said in an interview that the state “does not understand the ramifications of the proposal.

“There are major significant questions that have to be answered,’’ she added, or “it could kill the industry.’’

Here's how the proposed changes will work. Following the metamorphosis, you can see how these changes roll out the denial of care to the very people who need it the most, the sick and suffering:

A 10-member commission, which included key legislators and members of Patrick’s administration, recommended in July that private and public insurers largely scrap the current fee-for-service system in which insurers pay doctors and hospitals a negotiated fee for each procedure or visit - a system that is widely viewed as encouraging unnecessary and uncoordinated care.

Instead, the commission recommended that insurers pay providers predetermined, per-patient annual fees, called global payments, which would cover all of a patient’s medical care during the year. Doctors and hospitals would have to form larger groups, called accountable care organizations, that would provide most of the care for individual patients and divvy up the payments.

The change would mean that hospitals and doctors are at greater financial risk if their patients need a lot of expensive medical care - a risk now borne mostly by insurers. There’s also greater risk that patients would be denied necessary but very costly care, as some patients experienced during the early 1990s under a similar payment method called capitation.

Siphoning care from the poor in Massachusetts did not generate enough revenue to sustain the exploding costs of paying for healthcare for everyone who cannot afford it themselves in addition to paying for it for our own families.

One would think it would be common sense.

• The poorest in our country get free healthcare.

• Illegal immigrants can show up in hospitals and get free care.

• Those who can pay for healthcare for own families with the help of our employers.

• Healthcare costs skyrocket and burden everyone in the system.

• The wizards come along saying the fix is in: add 50 million people who can't afford healthcare.

Where are we losing people?

Even if Catholics could muster the nature to be so cold, uncaring and selfish, where is the logic to proves Obama's thesis that adding 50 million people who can't pay for insurance will save us all money and create new jobs? I have yet to see the well-thought out ideas explaining how he has come to his conclusions.

This is not momentum towards a more merciful Nation. It is not a plan based upon mercy and love for our brothers and sisters. It is a narcissistic plan to cut care for sick people to stimulate the economy and job growth.

The plan is unraveling for anybody who wants to pay attention to it. People with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses and accidents, the elderly and those with predetermined risks will be the very people robbed of healthcare.
