This is a very worthy cause for anyone meriting out their year end donations.
The Director is a compassionate woman who cares deeply about distressed families in all kinds of circumstances. She has impeccable discretion in how she disperses donations, giving to people who are have the will and drive to get themselves back on their own feet and is particularly sensitive to giving to families who would ordinarily fall through the cracks (for example those whose incomes would not qualify for help with other agencies if they had a bout of illness that caused a temporary inability to work).
The Bridge Fund’s mission is to prevent family and individual homelessness by providing financial assistance and counseling to people at risk of losing their homes or apartments. The Bridge Fund provides zero-interest loans and counseling to those that are at risk of eviction due to job loss or reduction, domestic violence, major illness and family break-up, among other causes.
