Category 2 Hurricane Coming...

You think somebody upstairs is getting mad?

I wrote to a colleague laboring in Christ's vineyard about Biden's most recent revelation that he is open to the tyranny of communism and killing people to manage debt and he wrote back with a sobering thought:

When the building shook yesterday here in ____________ from the earthquake in Virginia and we evacuated for 90 minutes I was struck by the thought that a horrible chastisement can happen so suddenly with such brutal force that our entire culture could be in the grip of a vengeful God who’s patience has come to an end someday soon. I read recently that Arch Sambi told the editor of Inside the Vatican that there is every reason to believe that the Fatima prediction of a great crucible is closer to us than we might think. People like Biden just accelerate the pace.

Sadly, the very people that need a wake up call will not attribute the increasing voracity and frequency of natural disasters to anything other than "global warming." Those of us who believe that God has much to do with it are just crazy. I'll accept crazy, and step up the prayers!

There's a prayer in the Pieta book for protection against storms and other "force majeurs" (sorry if I have the spelling wrong).

'Our Lady, Star of the Sea, help and protect us!
Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hand.'

Prayers going up for all in the path of the storm. Thanks Veronica for the reminder of the Pieta Book. +

“Dear Lord Jesus, please surround me with a perimeter of Your Love and Protection throughout the day today a hundred yards in all directions, dear Lord. Render any demons that are there, or should try to come, deaf, dumb, and blind. Strip them of all weapons, illusions, armor, power, and authority. Disable them from communicating or interacting in any way. Bind, sever, and separate them, sending them directly to the foot of Your Cross without manifestation or harm. May Your Precious Blood cover me, the Holy Spirit fill me, Mary's mantle surround me, the Holy Angels and Saints guard and protect me from all unfortunate events. Protect me from fire, theft, flood, storms, ailments, accidents of every sort, distress, hardship, curse, and all untoward things. I ask all this in your Name Lord Jesus I thank and praise you. I love you. Alleluia. Amen!”

Hi Carol,

Are you all set down there? The predicted storm track goes through western Mass so far. It might be like a big nor'easter for you, except a sou'wester in this case. RI could be a mess. Prayers.

Have any bishops dispensed Sunday Mass yet?

Well, it's not going to be a hurricane much longer, if it's even one now. I've watched the surface map at NC and didn't see sustained winds ever get above 40 kts (48 mph). NOAA's forecast shows the chance of hurricane winds in Delaware to be under 50%. I'll bet it won't even match a good nor'easter here in MA. But Deval will take credit for protecting and serving us. Maybe we'll get some Fed bucks to buy some trees.

Jerry - Sorry, I was getting ready. Doing things like taking in the lawn furniture and getting my toes done.

Looks like the floods are coming your way but we will get the winds? They're still saying 80 mph with gusts stronger.

God be with you and protect you!
