Must read article from Fr Ripperger

Cuts through all the lies and gives clarity to what Pope Francis and company are doing to the Church and Christ's people.

People throw labels like traditionalists and liberals to veil what they are really doing.

People who refer to themselves as liberal really mean they break Commandments without remorse. The Deposit of Faith and the Sacraments are meaningless to them as the guiding force that supplies right judgment and Sanctifying Grace. When Christ said His Sacrifice and Death was a gift that would send the Paraclete that defines Truth and salvation, they believe Christ meant them! When they want to break Commandments, they tempt the people they claim to love to smoke their crack pipes. The only thing they won't tolerate is someone who declines their offer to feast on forbidden fruit.

I never took a shine to the term "tradionalist". It undermines the reasons we flee the heresy and mammon seahag centered liturgies. It's not the right word for people who wanted t to go to Mass to mystically connect to God, His Mother, Angels and Saints, who seek to give Christ the very best, who need priests that teach and help us to live every day in a State of Grace. We are actually just Roman Catholics. The people who refer to us as "traditionalists" are people who come to Church for a myriad of other reasons and they resent hearing and seeing Roman Catholicism. What they are actually doing is using the term "traditionalists" to caricature our religion as antiquated. The pope is a big user of this farcical wordsmything to usher in his agenda and has even gone so far as to caricature the practice of Roman Catholicism as mental illness.

It is also not helpful that the people who bought into the heresies and blasphemies of SSPX call themselves "traditionalists".

Fr R's piece casts a deep net into theology and history but it is well worth taking the time to read and process.

I must have missed Father's article, but I like your point, and from now on will try to use simply Roman Catholic as my self-description. The point is a good one.
These men in Rome, starting with that guy who squats in the Chair of Peter, may we be delivered from him soon.

AMEN Kathleen! God love him, this Pope is a NIGHTMARE of a DISASTER! May he be converted to the true Catholic faith ASAP!

Kathleen, the link to Fr R's article is in the first paragraph.

Yes, Francis is clearly a malformed man and perhaps he has some severe psychological issues, given his incoherence. And most hierarchs at this time are quite pathetic.

But if one does not wish to have others utilize simplistic 'pidgeonhole' labels in regard to oneself, then one should not do similarly to others. And the Rev. Ripperger's essay seems to promote just that.

Leon: One is either Roman Catholic, or something else. If the shoe fits they must wear it.

Anonymous, the problem is that the Church (the designation Roman Catholic is not as ancient as you presume) is not, nor has it been, so restrictive as you seem to imagine.

A detailed study of any phases of its history will reveal this. But apart from orthodoxy and orthopraxy, the Church has been very non-uniform.

Uh huh. Riiight.

Daniel,

I'm assuming your post meant to convey you accept the practice of rejecting the Church's authority to define Church teaching.

But any way you slice it, if 'women's ordination' groups can't do it, neither can SSPX. Both practice heresy and simulate the authority to perform sacraments. One may appeal to you and the other may make you sick to your stomach, but the reality is there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them.
