Cardinal O'Malley's Right-Hand Man (Jack Connors) Helping With Obama's Election

Jack Connors is a familiar name to those of you who are following along with us in the archdiocese of Boston.

Jack has stacked the Chancery with friends of his and his buddy Jim McDonough and given them such high salaries that ten of them are now costing us 3 million dollars. I won't bore you with the details, but you can read about it on BCI if you go over to the right hand side of the blog and read the posts filed under 'conflicts of interest and cronyism.

Yesterday, in a post about the Daughter's of St. Paul missing pension money and the Cardinal's refusal to turn over the data and money to it's rightful owners - there is a very interesting detail on how money gets diverted into Jack Connor's pet project piggy bank instead of things like employee pensions.

As we reported in “Is Boston Archdiocese Committing Fraud?", $5 million is owed to the pension fund for employee pensions by closed parishes. That has not yet been repaid, yet $2.5 was diverted from closed parish reconfiguration funds to pay costs of Finance Council member, Jack Connors’ pet Catholic Schools project in Brockton.

When you owe your employees 5 million dollars from closed parishes and the money comes in, why would you hand it over to Jack Connors instead?

Does that seem ethical to you?

Is Jack Connors fundraising for the Archbishop or is the Archbishop a fundraiser for Jack Connors?

While the Archbishop is giving money to Jack Connors that belongs to the Daughters of St. Paul and sick and retired employees, Connors is holding fru-fru events for the wealthy elite drumming up donors....for OBAMA!

Vice President Joe Biden came to the top of the John Hancock Tower in downtown Boston yesterday afternoon to rally about 100 elite Democratic financial backers...yesterday’s cocktail party...guests, who drank from an open bar and snacked on rare beef tenderloin crostini ...were being courted for future financial help....thanked the crowd, including health care entrepreneur Jack Connors... for its influence as much as its money.

The Daughters of St. Paul and the employees getting screwed out of their pension would have enjoyed the rare beef tenderloin crostini, the open bar and the beautiful view to talk about that 2.5 million.

Biden said he hopes the Archbishop's chief fundraiser will help Obama get elected just like last time:

“Our shot at getting reelected is through you and the same way you did it the last time,’’ he said.

In addition to the cocktail party gathering, Biden also met with a smaller group of supporters in Connors’s 60th-floor office, the highest floor in the skyscraper. Connors is the lead fund-raiser for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, and, like others in attendance, has wide influence on other potential fund-raisers.

I sure hope while he had the attention of the wealthy elites, he mentioned the hole he's digging the Archdiocese into.

Why can't meet his fundraising goals at 66 Brooks Drive?

The more important question is, what is Cardinal O'Malley's right-hand man doing helping to re-elect the most destructive and deadly, proabortion administration in the history of American politics?

Noteworthy too is that two brothers and a sister-in-law of Archbishop's spokesperpon, Terry Donilon also work in Obama's White House. Thomas, is National Security Advisor, Michael is Joe Biden's Chief Counsel and Michael's wife is chief of staff to Joe Biden's wife Jill.

BTW - It's very strange, isn't it, that there's nobody in the Cardinal's Cabinet who worked for George Bush. Ronald Reagan. I know plenty of Catholics faithful to doctrine who have applied for jobs and leadership positions - but unless you're a friend of Jack Connors or Jim McDonough, you don't have the credentials.

There's something really dirty going down in Boston and I really believe it needs an independent auditor. And a RICO investigation.

It is critical that you visit Boston Catholic Insider today and take part in the latest fed up campaign. Pleas visit the link in my sidebar.

Enough is enough.

The Caritas Christi Kerfuffle Gets an Extreme Makeover in the Pilot

Several readers and colleagues brought to my attention the Pilot article written by Scot Landry responding to criticism over the Caritas sale and the Cardinal's lack of concern about Catholic identity.

Scot has brought a great deal of faithful teaching in Boston to Catholic adults (including priests) who are starving for it. Among the things he's done is running a solid and inspirational Women's and Men's Conference with phenomenal speakers.  (Some of you may know Scot's brother Fr. Roger Landry who is a serious physician of souls dedicated to bringing God's people to salvation.)  I respect Scot.

So, what do I think about Scot's article?

Why now is the diocese addressing this and why Scot?  Seems strange after all this time.   Is it the damage done by Phil Lawler's article - Terms of the Agreement?

In any event, I think Scot makes some valid points about the financial mess Caritas was in. But he doesn't convince me, for a lot of reasons.

The Democratic party has long had plans to take over the healthcare system in the United States.    Jack Connors as we like to say here in Boston "coincidentally" is a very big player in the Democratic party.  Connors, in fact, co-chaired the 2004 convention, the convention where Barack Obama made his political debut.  (For non-Boston readers, Connors is playing a co-Cardinal role which he shares with Bryan Hehir)

Caritas President Ralph de la Torre wanted to be a player in the plan.  Here's his introduction:   Open letter to Obama written on January 23, 2009.

Mr. de la Torre, made contributions and lined up others to make contributions to Martha Coakley  (among others) presumably to shore up the plans with political power.  ( Last year, de la Torre raised a million dollars for the Democratic party and  Obama made a personal visit to de la Torre in his home in West Newton.  I wonder if he got a pen!)

Everyone here following the minutia of these shady dealings (and this is purely educated political conjecture) thinks there will be a big "TA DA" when de la Torre is finished building this network of national hospitals: Jack Connors Partner's Health Care will gobble up the empire in an acquisition that will be working to accomplish Obamacare's objective of nationalized medicine.

When the plan is finished, the rights of Catholics to conscientiously object to withholding  treatment or killing a life the government has determined is worthless will have more far-reaching national consequences to Catholics.

By the way -- this is very simple.  We have a man here - de la Torre - with narcissistic ambition who sees the plan of Obama and he's decided he's going to be sitting pretty to make Obama an offer he can't refuse.  There is no 'conspiracy' here.   This is how political and social ambition come together in any mission.    As the government inches along, at some point they are going to need a network of hospitals to give cheap healthcare to the masses. "Guess who" will be sitting with the network.  This guy is very, very smart.     We have smart people on the side of the sanctity of life too, but sadly very few of them are at our Chanceries.  Smart people have the tendency to point out where mistakes are being made and things are going to go haywire.   We all know what happens when you try to tell Chancery folks that their ideas are unsound and dangerous to children.   Smart people get shunned and maligned and up goes a fortress of willful ignorance.

There's a Hitler or Goebbels quote that goes something like masses of people are more likely to fall victim to a big lie than a small one because they won't realize what's happening to them.  Of course what happened here, with all of these democratic players, is momentum in the trajectory of Obama's Obamacare and nationalized medicine.

As it stands now, we had to promise that when women come into our primary care physicians and want an abortion Catholics will give out information that is neutral and send the child in her womb in a taxi cab to be executed.   The Cardinal agreed to let members of the Commonwealth go into examination rooms "if necessary" to make sure we are compliant with this contractual obligation.  The Cardinal signed off on this. He is not a stupid man and knows Catholics are now forced into doing something that condemns to death a living human being. It is sinful - possibly to the point of excommunication - I don't know - but it is a very serious thing he has forced us into.   I am not up for excusing his behavior with ignorance.    He has abdicated and it is about time we all start saying it out loud.

You can't say that the Cardinal takes Catholic identity seriously when the man he has delegated (Bryan Hehir) has put the fox in the henhouse.  If the Cardinal took Catholic identity seriously, or Catholic doctrine or Canon Law - he'd be putting people in place that took it seriously.   Hehir has been working to extinguish the rights of Catholics to recuse themselves from doing something immoral to a sick and unhealthy patient.   Last year, Hehir even had the gall to sit on a panel beside an MGH doctor who does second trimester abortions and is working for the right to give the unborn a lethal injection before he decapitates them. Hehir's contribution essentially, was to say it isn't fair for Catholics to have conscience protections because it impacts the rights of patients to receive these medical services.  Conscience protections threatens social justice.   He calls his theory on Catholic conscience protections "Fair Adjudication".    I don't know how fair it is to the victims for a Catholic priest to sit on a panel affirming the services of the doctor who decapitates them, but there you have it.

Maybe the Cardinal is ignorant of this too - but it isn't for lack of people trying to tell him that he's ignorant of all these facts, that's for sure.  More on that in a minute.

Scot's financial assertions seem reasonable.  But saying Caritas Christi was insolvent doesn't fly with me because Mr. de la Torre was and is quite capable of drumming up investors and making hospitals solvent.    Recently, de la torre's abilities to build a successful network of hospitals and make them succesful was highlighted in this article HERE.

Steward Health Care System chief executive Ralph de la Torre, making his debut at the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, told investors this morning that he plans to take his company's Massachusetts cluster of community hospitals national.

"Our national model is really about replicating our regional model and keeping a very small centralized structure," he said.

De la Torre said Steward is building a model of lower-cost, high-volume patient care that is much different from larger hospital organizations such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, and Mayo Clinic.

Cheap healthcare for high volumes of people.  Sound familiar?

Catholics educated on more details than the average Pilot reader have a difficult time swallowing that on the one hand, de la Torre's claims he was incapable of building a model of lower-cost,high-volume patient care, keeping a very centralized structure with the six hospitals at Caritas Christi because on the other hand, he is out in the public square, now as the CEO of Caritas' parent company, saying he knows just how to do it. And, he says he is so successful, he is taking his Caritas model national.

Does he know how to do it or doesn't he? If he knows how to do it, then he was perfectly capable of doing it when the hospitals were Catholic and owned by the diocese.    That was his job.  Caritas was in fact making a profit by the time the Cardinal 'sold' them.

This profit even allowed them to come up with the money to purchase two more (non-Catholic) failing hospitals. A  miraculous infusion of cash from wallets they were trying to claim were empty, isn't it?

You'll also note the claim in Scot's article that the Cardinal was ignorant of his contractual performance obligations to carry out abortions in the arrangement with Commonwealth Care.  According to the article, he was also ignorant of the related business arrangements and contracts that carried out the agreement of the diocese to provide abortions with Centene.  Additionally, he was ignorant about the acquisition of Landmark.   This is all believable up to a point, but it isn't excusable.

It appears from the article that if it weren't for newspapers, the Cardinal wouldn't know a thing about what's going on in his own diocese.     Isn't this how pedophiles got away with that they got away with for years?

This is just an observation here - but a puff piece on how ignorant the Cardinal was on very serious things going down in his diocese is kinda sorta enabling isn't it?   It's going in the opposite direction of the solution to all the people running amok with authority that belongs to the role of a Cardinal while he runs around planet earth being the Charles Kuralt of the Episcopal Conference.

So let's think this through...

The Cardinal appointed Bryan Hehir to represent him on the Board of Directors at Caritas.    Since Bryan Hehir is required to sign resolutions approving such transactions as a member of the board it is not possible for him to claim ignorance.  Assuming Scot's explanation is true, Hehir kept the Cardinal in the dark, even when Catholics stepped forward to communicate the information to him.

Here's where that starts to fall apart for me.   It's been a while since I read the by-laws and structure of Caritas - but I'm pretty sure the signature of the Cardinal was required on the contracts. But let's use the lowest common denominator and assume Bryan Hehir gave the Cardinal's permission for the diocese to take the major stockholder position in a partnership that is going to performing abortions on women and then kept him in the dark about it.

Quite scandalous, wouldn't you say?

Once Catholics stepped forward to tell the Cardinal, because Hehir keeps him in the dark, the Cardinal thinks and then characterizes them on his blog as liars and people doing a disservice to the Church.

And once the Cardinal finds out about all this he didn't fire Hehir?

This begs the question - what other kinds of dishonesty and deception is the Cardinal coddling up there at Chancery?

If I remember correctly, the Cardinal claimed he didn't know how to figure out whether the diocese could provide abortions to women for the Commonwealth by registering a business who made contracts with abortionists and send the women to abortion clinic in a taxi cab if necessary was in keeping with Catholic ethics.  He thought about it and thought about and he just didn't see anything wrong with it.   After a lot of noise from lay Catholics, he outsourced his conscience to the National Catholic Bioethics Center who eventually unraveled the deal with Centene.   The diocese became a provider of physican services for Centene.  The new arrangment upheld the promise on the contractual obligations they made to the Commonwealth to send the women for abortions in a taxi to the abortionists Centene contracted with.    This might not have saved any children, it didn't protect the Catholics from being forced into providing neutral information on abortion and sending them in a cab - but it did stop the diocese from making the money they would make as a shareholder.

For about a year during this dust up, people called the Cardinal, faxed him, sent him emails, approached him physically at meetings and after Mass to speak to him about the abortion contracts.  We gave the information to the Nuncio, the Holy See, other Bishops, other high-ranking lay Catholics and asked them to intercede.  Reports came back that the Cardinal was completely silent in the face of these communications.  Others got letters confirming that any source saying the diocese was involved in abortion contracts was not giving out accurate information.   Others said they were ordered to be silent by the Cardinal.  The Cardinal did not retract his slanderous remarks about Catholic pro-lifers.    Meanwhile numerous glowing entries praising Bryan Hehir appear on the Cardinal's blog on a frequent basis.

Here's one that is particularly offensive:

We are pleased to announce that Father J. Bryan Hehir, Cabinet Secretary for Social Services and Health Care, has been invited to participate in a symposium hosted by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace at the Vatican this coming October. The topic for the symposium is “Caritas in veritate and the United States” and is the result of a joint collaboration with the Pontifical Council and the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California. The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace is a ministry of the Holy See dedicated to promoting justice, peace and human rights throughout the world. Pope Benedict XVI, in his latest encyclical, Caritas in veritate, speaks to the issues of “integral human development” and what justice means in today’s global economy.

Father Hehir is an international expert in the area of ethics and foreign policy and the role of religion across the global landscape and in American society. His work has encompassed a broad range of challenges that he has met with distinction, including taking leadership of Catholic Charities USA two days prior to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. He very carefully and capably guided that agency through some of our nation’s most difficult hours, ensuring that Charities’ essential services continued to be provided during the crisis. He also served on the staff of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, addressing issues of both foreign and domestic policy for the Church in the United States.
I am very grateful to Father Hehir for his continued service to the Archdiocese of Boston as priest, cabinet secretary, strategic advisor and professor and for his long standing commitment to pastoral ministry in the prisons, our parishes and with Pro-Life ministries.

A likening to Hehir's career as 'charity in truth' was particularly offensive to Boston Catholics who, unlike the Cardinal, are educated and informed on Hehir's demolition of Catholic identity in Catholic Charities, Catholic healthcare, Catholic education, Catholic governance and doing everything they can to inform the Cardinal around the fortress set up to protect the blissful and willful ignorance.

Here's the centuries old game in the Catholic Church of willful ignorance:  The Cardinal has an agenda makes plans, hires people to carry out those plans, surrounds himself with a cabal who will threaten, slander and demoralize people of good will who try to report to the Cardinal the theological, spiritual moral and sometimes criminal disorder swirling around the execution of his plans.

My thoughts are, I don't really think the article is helpful towards believing the Cardinal's trajectory is one of honor and truth.

Of recent vintage, the Cardinal misused a quote from the Pope claiming it was his license for his policy dismantling the Catholic identity of our Catholic schools.

“No child should be denied his or her right to an education in faith, which in turn nurtures the soul of a nation.”   (Address of His Holiness Benedict XVI to Catholic Educators in Washington DC, April 17, 2008.)"

Assuming he was ignorant of context of this quote, numerous people informed him that the context was about ensuring Catholic children who could not afford a Catholic education and wanted one, would receive the financial help they need.    Families who oppose Catholic teaching don't have the 'right' to Catholic education.  Decisions to deny them admission are made by people who realize that making classrooms donnybrooks actually denies the Catholic children the right to their education in the faith and the nurturing of their souls.

Call it what you will - but the Cardinal was informed it was a dishonest use of the quote and he approved using it so I'm just going to say how it is perceived - deliberate dishonesty used to execute Bryan Hehir's decades old agenda of divesting Catholic education of moral theology and reducing it to social justice.

Boston bloggers will have more on this - but if you're interested in getting ahead on the trajectory of Catholic education under Bryan Hehir's regime - check out the youtube of Hehir's explanation embedded in Cardinal Sean's blog.  (I'll give you a hint on one little tidbit - the identity of Catholic education can be explained in the second collection at Mass - supporting The Catholic Campaign for Human Development.)

Scot is trying to make an honest tapestry out of a web of lies to salvage the Cardinal's reputation as a forthright and honorable man interested in preserving Catholic identity for future generations in his role as a Catholic Cardinal here in Boston.  I understand the reasons why. Scot is a unifer, a peacemaker.  But the credibility and trustworthiness of the Cardinal has been deeply wounded.  Taking the pulse of informed hands-on committed and educated grassroots Catholics I would say irreparably.

There are too many instances where dishonest PR campaigns were mounted to publicly rebuke and undermine people who were trying to inform him of what he claims he did not know.  What he was accountable to know.   What people who informed him know he knows.   There is no honest pursuit of truth. The trust is gone and puff pieces are only going to pour gasoline on the flames.

Those are my thoughts on the article.  I don't mean to pick on Scot, but we've got to stop protecting the fortress of willful ignorance and publicly admit that the Cardinal has abdicated, things are going haywire here and we need official help from the Vatican.

Following the Money in the Archdiocese of Boston

The latest focus at Boston Catholic Insider has been the salvos from the Archdiocese of Boston (I no longer say the Archbishop because in practice, Boston does no longer has an Archbishop) the Chancellor's claim that there simply is no money to pay out in pensions. They're too broke. This of course conflicts with the mega-salaries offered to cronies of Jack Connors who, in place of the absence of the role of the archbishop, is building his own fiefdom (carrying out the plans of the Boston College National Roundtable of Leadership on Church Management).

BCI revealed yesterday, that in addition to six superintendants of schools underneath Mary Grassa O'Neil, Connors has brought in six more mega-salaried employees to 66 Brooks Drive.

There's more mismanagement of money where this came from, but our experts are estimating that 30 pastoral employees in the Connors fiefdom are draining 4 million dollars a year from the coffers of the Archdiocese - 1/4 of the Annual Appeal.

In our weekly conference call, I spoke about our de-funding the Appeal initiative that lay people will be launching in 2011. I am now convinced that in addition to de-funding the Cardinal's Appeal (since, among other things, it is more accurate to call it the Jack Connor's Appeal) we need to disconnect the 18% siphoning from our parishes. I realize the magnitude of accomplishing this, but if we can convince a large percentage of pastors that we have stopped giving at the parish level because we don't want to fund the Jack Connors regime at 66 Brooks Drive and that we will tithe at the parish level if they cut the 18% going to the Jack Connors regime loose, we'll all be much better off.

The question of what will they or what can they do about it if we can enlighten foot soldiers in strategic parishes about what is going on at 66 Brooks Drive and can convince a large number of parishes not to give the 18% has already been answered.

They will do the same thing they did when lay people took over parishes and have been squatting in them for close to ten years. They don't have the spinal fortitude to do anything about it. We need to start using the cowardice to our advantage.

We have already been fractured from Rome here in Boston. The coups d'état is complete. The structure where the Archbishop heads the diocese has been dismantled. Lay people are in control of the money, they are busy writing "policies", they have built a hierarchy independent from Rome. We've got to stop funding it.

Stay tuned for more details in the next week about the first 'policy' that is stripping the Catholic identity from our Catholic schools.

The Boston College National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management is Now in Full Control of the Archdiocese of Boston

Many national Catholic leaders surprised by the turn of events here in Boston under Cardinal O'Malley will often ask me specifics about what we see going on at the ground level.

As I've said before, one of the reasons why Boston Catholics have decided to publicly air their concerns in a blogging community is to give people a few central locations where a more accurate picture of what's going on - who the Cardinal has appointed and what is happening under the power structure the Cardinal has erected  - can be seen.

The National Roundtable of Church Management is now in complete control of the Archdiocese.   The Cardinal is no longer in control of anything.  For example, this is why Bryan Hehir had the confidence to contradict the Cardinal's ambiguous statement about a policy that will defund pastors if they teach Catholic moral principles in schools.

The mission of the "roundtable" was to get control of the money so that they could get control over the doctrine.

How this is playing out means various things to various people.

This focus on this blog has been and will continue to be about how the Deposit of Faith, and ultimately the salvation of souls, is going to be affected by the changes in Church structure now fully implemented by Cardinal O'Malley.

I'm not going to say too much more today because I want you to each take the time to review the short flick I have embedded featuring J. Bryan Hehir on how to effect Church Management nationally.

In a nutshell, the goal is to structure the power of the Church in America away from the structure of the Pope and the catechism and onto wealth controlling priests and bishops on the local level of the parishes and chanceries.

I have made some comments about responsive strategy over on Boston Catholic Insider on this thread that I believe will have efficacy in uprooting the regime.  Controlling a Cardinal is about controlling the money.  Jim Post was right about this and it certainly is in full swing in Boston.

While those of us focused on the sacraments and salvific mission of the Catholic Church don't really care about the money, I do believe that it is imperative that we round up the Shaughnesseys, McNeices, Flatleys, Opus Dei, Legatus and other people and apostolates who have wealth and interests in maintaining the structure of the Church headed by the Pope, pack up the resources we are assembling and give them a demonstration about the power structure Cardinal O'Malley has erected and the cost to Christendom.  They want to play games with controlling the Archbishop with money?  I am dealing myself a hand and am in the game.  These efforts will be getting underway shortly.  We have a few more critical revelations to archive so stay tuned.

This week, the Pilot featured an article written by the Vicar General about the access to prayer and the faith the Cardinal and the Vicar General have at the "Pastoral Center".

We would all like to be edified by the personal prayer habits of the Cardinal and the Vicar General.  I wish we could.  But the reality is, the people in the parishes are being terrorized when they express concerns about  invalid Sacraments or the eradication of Confession or our children demoralized with priests and lay people who reject the tenets of our faith or our liturgies being trampled and scandalized or being told Adoration and the Rosary scares people or our kindergartners sexualized by people who have them repeating "vagina" and "penis" in ccd classes thinking this absolves Corporation Sole from hiring and coddling pedophiles or children confirmed without knowing their prayers or what is happening at the Holy Mass, anything about Humana Vitae, Theology of the Body or people like Maureen Hancock coming in to perform the tricks of a sorcerer and the false 'god' "reiki" or the abortion contracts the Cardinal's administration is signing right under his nose or the marxists Bryan Hehir is bringing in to brainwash unsuspecting Catholics across the nation.

Frankly, I and many others are not edified by the article about the personal prayer habits of people who are keeping the deposit of faith unto themselves up there at the Pastoral Center.

While they are trying to save their own souls, they have set up an administration that is making it impossible for the flock to save their children's souls or have any access to the truths of our faith.

It really is a lovely article but please beg our pardon when we say this:

The Pastoral Center is supposed to be a place where the administrators have the duty to protect, defend and distribute the temporal goods of Christ Church to THE PEOPLE.  It is not about the personal salvation and prayer habits of the Cardinal, Vicar General and their staff.    The administrators at the Boston Archdiocese are holding the Catholic religion in bondage.  And, they are terrorizing people who are demanding It's release for THE PEOPLE.  THE PEOPLE out here in the parishes who are subject to the aforementioned lunacy.  The structure of the Roman Catholic Church in Boston is being dismantled and preparations are underway to infect the rest of the Catholic Church across our nation with the false church erected in Boston.

The efforts under way are not going to happen under the radar while some of us are still breathing.  All of the money, every last nickel, in the portfolios of the Boston College National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management is not going to stop the testimony of many Catholics who are standing ready to reveal what is going down.

And, here is what is going down:

Did you hear anything about the structure in our dioceses and parishes to the Roman Catholic Church in Rome headed by the Pope?

Teaching the flock the source and summit of our tenets outlined in the Catechism?

This priest has been defrauding Catholics for 40 years. He is tapped into those who hijacked Jack Kennedy's name to use the Kennedy School of Government to break down democracy in America.

He is positioned to break down democracy AND the Roman Catholic Church at the same time and he is getting away with it.

Cronyism in the Boston Archdiocese

I must say that even I am blown away by the cronyism in the Archdiocese of Boston being unraveled by our friends at Boston Catholic Insider.

Jim McDonough and Ann Carter (formerly of Abington Savings) have stacked the Chancery with bank tellers and other former bank employees who have bupkis in the way of Catholic credentials or experience in the roles they were given.

What is McDonough's head bank teller doing as the Cardinal's Executive Secretary?   It' a fairly high-level admin job that would require a seasoned executive secretary and Catholic.

And, according to last night's weekly Boston Catholic blogger conference call, there is more to come.

Between the fiefdoms of Jack Connors and McDonough, it would be one heck of a power point presentation to put together how their cronies helicopter from one of their fiefdoms to the other.

Don't these people have to sign a conflict of interest policy?

Nepotism, Conflicts of Interest and the Micks on the Make in the Archdiocese of Boston

If you ever suspected underhanded money laundering schemes for favors going on at the Boston Chancery, do not miss the most recent posts at BostonCatholicInsider.

And, the BCI bloggers tell me there is more to come on the nepotism and greasing of palms between all the characters at the Boston Chancery.

Lord Have Mercy!!!

Is it any wonder there is a gag order on the teachings of the Church as they send forth pied piper David Thorp to bring in more wallets?

With all their amazing ingenuity on how to set themselves up to line their own pockets with cash being posted to Boston Catholic Insider, isn't half past time Cardinal O'Malley called up the Vatican to get Jim McDonough, Rasky and Jack Connors some kind of an honor at some dicastry?

Call this a hunch, but I think they've run out of good will and favors from the National Catholic Bioethics Center so I don't think you'll be seeing them rushed in to do a report on how ethical it all is.

At the very LEAST, the situation merits a post and a couple of dozen pictures of themselves on Cardinal Sean's blog on what an asset they all are up at the Pastoral Center.

Story Developing on a Money Grab at Boston CatholicTV (BCTV)?

For the past few months, several sources have been alerting Catholic activists to Boston Archdiocesan Chancellor Jim McDonough's attempts to grab money out of the coffers of Boston Catholic TV to cover the bad debts of the Archdiocese.

I'm digressing here..but have I mentioned the Archdiocese spends close to 7 million a year keeping closed parishes open for the wingnut squatters who are "in vigil" holding bogus ceremonies and faking sacraments?!!  Seven million!   They were trying to claim the buildings were still being used for a 'non-profit' purpose to avoid paying taxes.  Call this a hunch, but now that the towns are removing the non-profit status of the buildings and they have to pay taxes, the crazies are going to get the bums rush?

Anyhoo, the structure of Boston Catholic Television is a totally separate entity that leaves no way for the Chancellor to mingle the money.   And, BCTV has a huge boodle of cash (and always has) that is generated by fundraising and endowments, etc.

Our sources have been telling us the fight for the cash has been heating up in the last several weeks.  Though there is no way to verify the story, I have heard from enough sources to feel comfortable enough to send out an Amber Alert to those of us watching and exposing the corrupt takeover of Catholic Church in Boston to "follow the money" at BCTV.

Today, an email was sent to several Boston Catholics from an anonymous source which I will just share in its entirety:

There will be a board meeting of CatholicTV on June 17.  CatholicTV is an independent non-profit corporation, not financially controlled by the Archdiocese of Boston.  Jack Connors, Neil Finnegan, Jim McDonough, and a group of their cronies have told O'Malley that the statutes of CatholicTV must be legally changed to put it under the financial control of the Archdiocese.  Their take-over is to be pushed through the CatholicTV board on June 17.  Father Reed and the CatholicTV leadership are dead-set against this, but are afraid they will be forced.

I'm not sure the reason for the demanded change - presumably so McDonough and company will be able to take or borrow from CatholicTV's extensive savings.  Perhaps to fund the Archdiocese's new development office that is under Connors' control.  (To keep on S**t Landry and his crew in their new secretariat, new income is needed.)

McDonough has once again threatened to quit if O'Malley does not make this change, which is what he successfully did in the removal of S**t Landry from the development job.

BTW - this is the first any of us heard that Jim McDonough bartered to have Mr. L**dry removed with the Cardinal by using threats to quit, but he was(and is) indeed deeply involved in (as in people are making the snowballs under the radar and he is firing them) the coup of the Archdiocese.

We are trying to get more details about this and will update the story as soon as we have them.

Update on Fr. Rafferty, St. Paul's and Cardinal O'Malley's "Power Shift" in the Church to Jack Connors

I picked up some kind of bug that has had me down for the last 24 hours but I was able to at least read all of your emails.

First of all, there is unanimous consent across the diocese, both in lay people and Fr. Rafferty's fellow priests.

Numerous priests contacted me yesterday to express their concern about who and what is operating the Archdiocese.  Because Fr. Rafferty is such a meek and gentle priest, a kindly soul who would not harm a fly, his fellow priests knew immediately that the diocese was not telling the complete story and that Fr. Rafferty was being set up for some sinister purpose by those now in full control of the Catholic Church in Boston.

As physicians of souls, several expressed their concern that the Cardinal and his group running the diocese took a private conversation of Fr. Rafferty's in which Fr. Rafferty was attending to the soul of the mother and the family and made that conversation the antithesis of the vocation of priesthood.

Since they feel that Fr. Rafferty was set up for this (and there was also 100% consensus about this in those who contacted me), they expressed their observation that the Cardinal's actions in this indicate he is against and opposes private conversations concerning sin and the state of the persons soul and such conversations with be punished in the future.

Every priest I spoke with said they believe Fr. Rafferty should resign immediately and expressed that this what every fellow priest feels, with few exceptions.

Many expressed that they now consider this regime in the Chancery a hostile environment to the priesthood of the Catholic Church and that they feel they are in survival mode.  Many said they are terrified about retribution when dealing with sin and salvation of a particular soul.  At any moment, Jack Connors could set them up for any private conversation they have with us about our sinfulness to be hijacked and misrepresented in the news.

The diocese silences the priest so that he may not tell what really transpired and his intentions and this frees up Teri Donilon and the spin machine to "go after one priest" by controlling the press to make it look like "discrimination" that they absolutely must set new policies on.

In the last 48 hours numerous priests in the diocese, expressed this in one way or another.

The situation in Boston for priests is dire.

There are no words to express how terrible this "power shift" is impacting the salvation of the faithful.  Conversations such as the one I described yesterday - when priests take private moments to find out what the obstacles of sin are to prevent you from practicing your faith - these are in peril.

The salvation of souls and our children's right to be educated in the Catholic faith is being shut down by Cardinal O'Malley and his regime.

It is a celebratory day of "chagrin" at the Cardinal's regime today.

The coup of the Catholic Church is now complete in Boston.   They are victorious.

This will spread across our nation like a cancer.

Where is the National Catholic Register and other media sources who rely upon donors?

Right where they were when the Bishops were protecting pedophile rings.

Donors are controlling those sources and they will not permit exposition of corruption.

It is all smoke and mirrors.

Thank God for email and blogs.

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE

In an effort to provide you the most accurate information available, I have one correction to make to my post yesterday.

Though the mother's comments in the press indicate she initiated the conversation with Fr. Rafferty, new information I have obtained indicates that St. Paul's customarily meets with every parent of an incoming student in an effort to pastorally connect families who may be separated from the Church and the Sacraments to Sacramental grace.

This is the opportunity for a priest to use to gather information on the real work of the Church - the intimate work between a priest and his people in connecting their souls to the Sacraments and Salvation of the Catholic Church.

This of course, has been hijacked and exploited by those with agendas to dismantle the Catholic Church in America from the Roman Catholic Church who now in complete control of the Boston Archdiocese.

I want to remind you that there is a smoking gun that the mother of these children does not want the teachings of the Church on human sexuality to be taught to her child and her expectations are exclusions to doctrinal guidance by the school the Archdiocese provides to her:

But the woman said she was uncertain she would enroll her son in another Catholic school because she needed to learn more about their educational programs.
She added: "I will be a little bit more guarded in my questioning so I'll be able to have a real clear picture where they stand.

Fr. Raffertty has been silenced.   I am inundated with letters, phone calls, faxes and other communications from many priests and lay people in our archdiocese.  There is 100% consensus that Fr. Rafferty has been thrown under a bus to advance an agenda.

Period.

Exclamation point.

Stay tuned.
