Caroline Kennedy Under the Bus

Get under the bus girlfriend, one too many Um's and You knows.

A New York Daily News columnist said "the wheels of the bandwagon are coming off." New York Post state editor Fred Dicker already put her on his list of 2008 losers. And The New York Times said "she seemed less like a candidate than an idea of one: eloquent but vague, largely undefined and seemingly determined to remain that way."

On Friday after weeks of silence, Kennedy agreed to sit down for interviews with The Associated Press and New York City cable TV's NY1. Over the weekend, she scheduled another round of interviews with other news organizations from the Times to the Buffalo News. The New York Daily News noted she frequently used the phrases "you know" and "um" during the interview, which was skewered in political blogs Monday.

"There has been some very rough comments," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College poll. "I have been surprised," he said. "The welcome mat has not been out from everybody."

Look, I don't subscribe to her shtick - but she is a kind and good woman and I honestly feel sorry for her. She doesn't deserve the lynch mob.

The luminaries in Washington with all the experience have done a good job, have they?

Richard McBrien, misery loves company

Dick McBrainless, the useful idiot, doles out a dose of poison in the Boston Globe.

The Rev. John T. Zuhlsdorf, a popular conservative blogger, recently referred to McBrien as a "heresiarch," meaning a leader of heretics.

Creative.

Misleading the flock is a fruitful exercise for a doctrinally lost priest. There's security in baiting others to join you on the road to hell.

I can tell you I got a lot of e-mails and letters from Catholics who said that I had given them hope and that their teenage kids who had been alienated from the church said that, "If there were more priests like the guy we were watching on television, I'd still be a Catholic."

A jellyfish tells their children killing and disobedience is good for their souls. Being a father is impossible when you are spineless and castrated.

Barack the Magic Negro circulated by RNC hopeful

Trouble on the Gaza Strip

Israel rained 100 tons of bombs on the Arabs today in retaliation for rocket and mortar attacks on Southern Israel, killing 227 and wounding 400-700 others. Hamas has continued rocket and mortar attacks and Israel, Israel says targeting Hamas leaders is under consideration and they're sending ground troops to the border in preparation for a ground attack. Hamas is threatening to unleash Hell.

The top Roman Catholic cleric in the Holy Land, Latin Patriarch Fouad Twal, gave a press conference a few days ago to draw attention to the plight of the Christians who are cut off from food and the staples necessary for life. He wants the sanctions lifted and the Arabs to stabilize the area with an organized legal structure, instead of terrorizing with sociopaths for their soveriegnty. Twal also decried the plight of Iraqi Christians.

Lousy situation all around that is in need of prayers.

Barney Frank and Company are Disillusioned

While the rest of us were adoring in the manger in Bethlehem, the uncouth and lacking class were at the gymnasium and posing with their clothes off at the beach. I suppose we should be thankful he didn't have a butt hanging out of his mouth?

Meanwhile, the "yes we can" chorus is losing steam. When Obama said change, chameleon was not what his base had in mind.

How could Obama possibly keep his campaign promise "to end the mindset that got us into war," asked the editor of The Nation, when none of his top foreign policy/national security picks had opposed the war?

There was even more distress in progressive precincts after Obama's economic team was announced. Lawrence Summers, who will chair the National Economic Council, "opposed regulating the newfangled financial instruments that greased the way to the subprime meltdown," wrote David Corn, the Washington bureau chief of Mother Jones magazine, in a column for The Washington Post. Obama's choice for Treasury secretary, New York Fed president Timothy Geithner, "helped oversee the financial system as it collapsed." Both of them, lamented Corn, are close to Robert Rubin, "a director of bailed-out Citigroup and a poster boy for . . . Big Finance."

Add to those the passel of former Clinton operatives who have returned to play key roles in the Obama transition, including Rahm Emanuel, John Podesta, and Greg Craig, and Obama Girl

herself could be forgiven for feeling disillusioned. Whatever happened to the fresh, progressive candidate who promised an escape from Clinton-era Democratic politics?

As if all that weren't enough to give a fervent liberal agita, Obama has asked the Rev. Rick Warren, the evangelical pastor of Saddleback Church, to deliver the invocation at his inauguration. From many on the left, where Warren's staunch opposition to same-sex marriage is reason enough to loathe him, responses have ranged from dismay to fury. Barney Frank labeled the pastor's views "very offensive" and pronounced himself "very disappointed" that Obama would invite him. The blog Liberal Rapture was more pungent: "Obama throws another middle finger to liberals."

Venite Adoramus Regum Angelorum!

I hope you are making wonderful memories this Christmas season.

For me, of the most enjoyable parts of the Christmas season is going out of the way to speak with and meet up with friends that we don't see as much as we want to in our daily comings and goings. Learn what's happening in their lives and share what is happening in yours....delicious.

Aside from almost setting my kitchen on fire twice today, all is going well at the McKinley Compound.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Enjoy this classic...

Caroline Kennedy can see the United Nations from her Apartment

Howie Carr had a good column today on duplicity.

The difference between Massachusetts 1962 and New York 2008 is that Teddy had to run for the office. Forty-six years later, his niece Caroline expects - no, demands - to have a Senate seat handed to her, on a silver platter.

Elections? Kennedys don’t need no stinkin’ elections.

Apparently the U.S. doesn’t have a Senate anymore. We have a House of Lords. Instead of seats, we have peerages.

By now everyone has noticed that all the media hags who were so bent out of shape about Sarah Palin’s alleged lack of experience are touting Caroline’s deep hands-on credentials as . . . honorary chairman of the American Ballet Theater.

Not chairman, mind you. Honorary chairman.

The dog and pony show of the Archdiocese of Boston

Catholic World News gives an adequate summary of the spineless and corrupt shepherds in the Archdiocese of Boston.

It's an old story.

Archbishop O'Malley ordered Catholics to hand out abortifacients several years ago. Planned Parenthood is just catching up with the two who are defying the order or Arcbishop O'Malley and his proabort cronie Bryan Hehir whom he brought in years ago to fortify the "give canned goods to the poor and shuffle them into abortions machine.

In fact, attorney general Tom O'Reilly who illicitly and illegally used his bully pulpit to attempt to force Catholics to provide abortifacients, by opining they had no legal protections against such, Archbishop O'Malley HIRED at Caritas Christi to oversee the destruction of life gets enforced at Catholic Hospitals - and of course to thank him for making Planned Parenthood safe sex program part and parcel of religious education as the cure for pedophile priests.

While the diocese claims to be catching pedophiles, they've not informed a single soul in the pews of the identity of the pedophiles raping children in your communities. The same secrecy and silence that faciliated priests raping children is now facilitating lay people to rape your children. The same old Good Old Boys Network with a new shtick.

What a comfort it is for the employees at the "pastoral center" to know the kindergartners have a template for discerning what is pleasurable when you rub it and how important it is to wear a condom when things escalte and when that fails, go to St. Elizabeth's to get the morning after pill.

Bullet points at CWN:

This Globe story exposes layer upon layer of the corruption that infects what was once a solidly Catholic community in Boston. Consider:

  1. Massachusetts law does indeed require hospitals to dispense the "morning-after" pill to rape victims. The law passed through the legislature without serious opposition, despite the fact that a majority of lawmakers identify themselves as Catholics.
  2. The Caritas Christi hospitals are complying with the law, despite the fact that the "morning-after" pill causes abortions. Last week's new Vatican instruction on bioethics confirmed that the use of this pill is "gravely immoral."
  3. When two Catholic-hospital employees said that they could not fulfill an immoral request, they quickly became the targets of a pro-abortion publicity campaign, abetted by the region's most powerful media outlet.
  4. Worse, their employers at a Catholic health-care institution, rather than applauding the employees for showing sound moral judgment, conceded that their answers had violated corporate policy. Emergency-room personnel who followed Catholic ethical principles were put on notice that their Church-owned employer would not support them.
But oh, how Archbishop O'Malley loves to march in the prolife parades and give soundbytes to the press about how concerned he is about the sanctity of life. All a show in the public square to jockey himself in a favorable light in case the Vatican reads the soundbyte.

These are the days, aren't they?

Corruption and deception never had it so good.

Surreal

Turns out the boy found burned in a hole in Hyannis was killed in a scheme conjured up by his 13-year-old half-brother and two other thugs.

The press reporting on this story didn't make sense from the get go. Only one report a few days later mentioned the brother missing in the context of irrelevance to concern or the dead body. The mother (who looked rather ruffian) and the well-dressed grandmother made no mention of their missing child and all reports painted the deceased as a boy as a good student whom you just couldn't help loving.

Last night, reporters mentioned it was all about ten thousand dollars the deceased had, in a sort of what a shame context and as if it were nothing to be suspicious about (especially given the father is a convicted drug felon). The kid was pimping drugs to other children, and lots of them.

The Globe article says the aunt of one of the killers helped them buy a BMW with the ten thousand dollars. Please. A kid has ten thousand in cash and you don't know what is going on?

The nutty parents went to the grave site and are building a shrine to glorify the teen who was supplying their children with drugs:
Yesterday, dozens of teens and adults made their way down the winding path off Jennifer Lane to stand around the pit where Jordan Mendes's body was found. A wooden cross signed with dozens of names had been stuck in the sandy soil at the pit's edge, like a headstone; at the opposite end, a large cross fashioned from discarded 4-by-4 beams has been erected. A dozen small bouquets of flowers lay in the hole.
This world has gone stark raving insane.

"Jordan was a great kid. He was all goofy, funny, and making jokes," said the brother, who asked that his name not be published. "He and Mykel, they went everywhere together. . . . It's just odd. If Mykel wanted something, Jordan would have bought it for him, and if Jordan didn't have the money, he would have found it somehow. It's not right."

Yeah, if his brother Mykel wanted and iPod, Jordan would go to the playground and sell 6 graders a couple of handfuls of Oxycontin. He was a great kid, always funny and goofing around. In fact, one day, he might have been the President of the United States. What a shame.

I try to steer clear of comments on boston.com and bostonherald because they're usually posted by sociopaths, but did so today. One of them mentions how the liberals will make them out to be heroes and say this all happened because they weren't getting free lunches.

Part 1 of Morten Lauridsen Lux Aeterna..magnificent

O Magnum Mysterium

Oh-oh, we can kiss "American" customer service goodbye

If you bought anything technological for your kiddies for Christmas, you can't get your new router or computer to work or you need to talk to somebody about your mortgage payments, you are in deep doodoo.

60% of Egypt and India's Internet is down after under-the-sea cables break.

Speaking to reporters, Rajesh Chharia, president of the Internet Service Providers’ Association of India, said: "Information technology companies, software companies and call centres that provide online services to the UK or the US east coast are the worst affected."

Naturally.

Hey,I'm no luminary..but...um... I have an idea.

What about taking all the unemployed Americans trained IT and technology and give them the jobs we are giving to non-Americans?

Bailouts R Us: Obama and Biden need 700 billion more

Bailouts R Us:

What's that you say?

You want groceries, eyeglasses? Blood pressure medication? An MRI to see what that nagging pain in your back is? You want to afford the co-payments to fix your teeth? Want your kids to go to college?

Forget about it.

The 700 billion needs another 700 billion. All very fascinating when you add the trillion to employ people to "repair bridges".

Goldman Sachs has set aside 7 billion from the bailout for salary increases and bonuses.

Has history ever seen a bigger bunch of crooks running our government and private industries?

The good news is, the Arab oil sheiks are unable to gouge us to heat our homes or run our cars. Cutting back the supply to drive up the prices for the upkeep of their palaces didn't pan out this week. Prices slid below 40 dollars are barrel in spite of them.

Vice President-Elect Joe Biden said the U.S. economy is in danger of "absolutely tanking" and will need a second stimulus package in the $600-billion to $700-billion range.

Come on, we're housebound here in New England. Tune into the loose canon on Sunday, shall we?

The Bridge Fund of Massachusetts-Annual Drive

The Bridge Fund of Massachusetts is currently holding it's annual drive.

This is a very worthy cause for anyone meriting out their year end donations.

The Bridge Fund’s mission is to prevent family and individual homelessness by providing financial assistance and counseling to people at risk of losing their homes or apartments. The Bridge Fund provides zero-interest loans and counseling to those that are at risk of eviction due to job loss or reduction, domestic violence, major illness and family break-up, among other causes.
The Director is a compassionate woman who cares deeply about distressed families in all kinds of circumstances. She has impeccable discretion in how she disperses donations, giving to people who are have the will and drive to get themselves back on their own feet and is particularly sensitive to giving to families who would ordinarily fall through the cracks (for example those whose incomes would not qualify for help with other agencies if they had a bout of illness that caused a temporary inability to work).

Bishop Kieran Conry is a very sick man

Sin wears itself in the public square in the utterings of Bishop Kieran Conry, a victim of spiritual insanity.

Check this out:

1. The Church's teaching on birth control "could be wrong" and is not infallible. Asked if Humanae Vitae was a mistake, he says: "I don't know."

As Christ said, you do not know or understand because you are perishing. Your cerebellum has turned to stone from your defiance and any seeds of spiritual understanding bounce off your head and fall to the ground as waste.

I must say, this one was my favorite -this priest does not give a rat's patoot about the souls who are perishing under his watch, he is interested in "saving the planet":

2. "You can't talk to young people about salvation," says the bishop, because that concept means nothing to them. Instead, talk in their language - for example, about saving the planet.

Then, there's this shameless revelation about his devotion to the Sacrament of Penance:

3. Asked if frequent confession is a a good idea, he replies: "No, because my own experience when we had Confession every day at St Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham was that regular penitents came back with exactly the same words week after week. So there you would say, actually, there is no conversion taking place."

I'm always amazed at priests who look into the faces of their congregation, knowing they have withheld defining sinful behavior and as a result, have no beaten path in their Confessionals.

If we are in there confessing it, we know it's wrong, we have not lost our sense of Truth and we are still on the road to conversion. So long as we are obtaining Grace to struggle against the sin, we are safe from damnation. St. Paul revealed he struggled for 70 years against a particular sin before he mastered the temptation. The more we are in there, the more our conversions are taking place.

It's the people whom he never sees in the Confession for whom conversion is not taking place. No conversion, no salvation. He thinks Christ will save him when he has let an entire diocese go to pot? The most painful experiences in hell await the ordained who are derelict in their duties.

There is a comment from the author that this Bishop is a "decent and compassionate man". However, I take exception to the definition of "compassion". Any family member, friend, superior, priest who would knowingly permit me to delude myself I would hardly describe as compassionate. Compassionate people do not let their children starve to death. Sick people do. This man is sick. Spiritually sick.

What a tragedy that his colleagues and his superior would let him circle gates of hell and permit his entire diocese to go down with him. Not to mention letting him make an ass of himself.

If you are a priest reading (and I know more than a handful drop in) know this: For every face you look into from your position at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass whom you have never seen in the Confessional - whose sins are not being forgiven... from now until somebody shovels the first spoon of dirt on your grave, you are the responsible party.

It's one thing to mention sins in your homilies and know you have given them the tools to examine their conscience and they defy that guidance. You are not accountable for their long stay in Gehenna. But if you are talking about saving the planet or whether the war is just or unjust when every one of the women sitting in your pew is using contraception, has had an abortion, is being promiscuous outside of marriage and you have not addressed the sinfulness of those behaviors in your homilies - you will not see Paradise. Even if you are feeding and clothing the poor and doing it Christ's Name thinking this is sufficient for own salvation. It is not. In fact the Bible is clear. If you tell them, they will be held accountable. If you you do not tell them, they will be set free from their eternal punishment and you will serve their punishment.

Christ forgives as many times as we repent of a sin, so long as we repent. Nobody will ever repent if you've withheld knowledge from them on what to repent for. As a priest, for this malfeasance, you will eternally suffer.

God help us.

I'll leave you with the words of a commenter:

Stand up and fight. The great only appear great because we are on our knees. This is grossly unacceptable conduct on KC's part. According to a speech given by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State, at a congress on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Rome, last week, human rights "cannot be considered as containers that according to particular historical, cultural and political moments, are filled with different meanings and elements." Their common roots, he said, are found in natural law which, as Pope Benedict XVI said in his speech at the U.N., "is written on the heart of man."

The cardinal also explained that defending "fundamental rights" such as life, the family, education and religious freedom, "means not confusing them with simple and often limited contingent needs. Moreover once they are recognized and enshrined into eventual conventions, human rights always need to be defended." In modern society abortion can easily be regarded as birth control. Without the right to life, what other human rights matter?

Obama's choice of Rick Warren for Invocation is upsetting liberals

I'm not sure what the brouhaha is about in the gay community. Obama has been clear that he is against gay marriage.

Nevertheless, the press claims Obama's choice of Rick Warren for the Invocation is deflating:

Still, gay rights groups say they are appalled at the selection of Warren, whose church is 22,000 strong. Human Rights Campaign president Joe Solomnese sent Obama a letter asking him to reconsider what they say is a show of "disrespect" and a "genuine blow" to the gay community.

The invitation to Warren has "tarnished the view that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans have a place" at Obama's table, reads the letter.

Obama's Cheerleader Andrew Sullivan said the choice of Warren was "shrewd politics, but if anyone is under any illusion that Obama is interested in advancing gay equality, they should probably sober up now."

'Sup with that?

Wasn't the shtick about changing the good old boy politics in Washington to a collaborative and inclusive process from all perspectives?

Now it's insulting.

But People For the American Way President Kathryn Kolbert said Warren's support for Prop 8 should have blocked his invitation.

"It's a huge mistake," said California gay rights activist Rick Jacobs, who chairs the state's Courage Campaign. "He's really the wrong person to lead the president into office."

Oooooooooooooh, I get it!

The politics of inclusion bars Americans who take the Bible literally.

Some religious conservatives said they welcomed the selection, noting that it indicated among other things that Obama was prepared to reach out to them.

"I think it's an excellent choice. Rick Warren is loved by millions of people ... radical gays don't like him but most people do," Bill Donohue, president of the conservative Catholic League, told Reuters.

Obama Digging up more "change" from the Clinton Boneyard

Spooky

Emerging from retirement in southern Maryland to volunteer at Obama headquarters, Ms. Currie was the personal secretary to President Bill Clinton, who became caught up in an independent counsel investigation into his trysts with the White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Since leaving the White House, Ms. Currie, 69, has shied from publicity and kept a low profile in Hollywood, Md., where she lives with her husband, Bob, and Socks, the presidential cat, which she took with her after Mr. Clinton left office.

Christmas Reflection

Another beautiful reflection from my friend Joanne...

The Spirit of Christmas

The Spirit of Christmas is, in reality,
The Spirit of Christ.
His Spirit reaches out and offers us
His touch.

He can touch us wherever we may be.
His reach has no boundaries.
He is present to individuals everywhere --
To those in the warmth of a home
Or in a home grown cold
Those confined to a hospital or prison
And those with no place to live.

He embraces those who have lost hope.
His gentle caress consoles the lonely and grieving.
With open arms he welcomes back all who have left him
And beckons those who have never met him.
He affirms those who love him
And challenges them to greater service.

Although the Spirit of Christmas
Is here throughout the year,
During this special season,
We may be more open to receive his LOVE.

And so he calls to each of us
With a very special invitation
To be...
Touched by the Christmas Spirit.

Lifeteen Founder Dale Fushek Excommunicated

What happened to this poor man will remain a mystery.

Many hierarchical Church insiders had little respect for Fushek and for a variety of reasons didn't have any trouble believing the plausibility of the criminal charges against Fushek. Call me suspicious, but the charges against him never passed the sniff test. A priest involved in youth ministry who talked to teenage boys about sexuality can be hijacked by the hysterical.

In general, Lifeteen ministries cultivate prayer and worship, and a deeper commitment to Christocentric thinking and living. There are many fine priests and adults working this ministry and doing good work and there are others who spin out of control in various ways. The flaw in this ministry, is that it attracts adult Peter Pan types - adults dissed as kids who never made it out of puberty emotionally. Fusak among them. His ego, his Masses and just about everything he did was an out of control Cirque de Soliel.

Since diocesan cronies sell the innocent down the river with the guilty, and so many druggies, mentally unbalanced and people with axes to grind against the magisterium concoct memories, I never make a judgment on these kinds of things unless the facts demonstrate guilt. I was sympathetic up until the point in time when Fushek tried to draw people away from Christ's One, Holy Apostolic Church.

The fact that he would do that with complete disregard for the salvation of those he was luring away from Christ, indicates to me a bad egg.

He has a choice to make in response to his excommunication. He can harden his heart and flow with the current of rebellion, or he can realize what he did was wrong and repent.

The fruit of discipline can bring a soul to righteousness and salvation - or he can flow with the current of rebellion and end up bitterly betraying our Lord in spiritual suicide, gradually disemboweling himself.

It's sad to see any priest give in to a crucible and I pray for his soul. Kudos to the Bishop for revealing the status of his salvation so that he can repent and save himself. Sure beats making nice and knowing that sins unrepentant are devouring your charge.

Soul of Christ, santify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds, hide me.
Never let me be separated from you.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
At the hour of death, call me;
and bid me come to you.
That with your saints I may praise you
forever and ever.

Amen.

St. Ignatius pray for us.

Rahm Emanuel Under the Bus

According to the NYT, Rahm Emanuel has been caught red-handed as the point person in Obama's Senate Seat for Sale Scandal.

President-elect Barack Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, communicated with the office of Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich of Illinois about potential candidates for Mr. Obama’s Senate seat and provided a list of names, according to two Obama associates briefed on the matter...

The Chicago Tribune reported that communications between Mr. Emanuel and the governor, both Democrats, had been captured on court-approved wiretaps, but Obama associates gave conflicting accounts of the interactions.
At the very least, Emanuel is guilty of knowing what was going on and covering it up with his public silence. Privately, he was warning his colleagues that Blago was a corruption tar baby:

Ms. Schakowsky told The New York Times last week that she called Mr. Emanuel last month when she was exploring whether she might fill Mr. Obama’s seat. She and Mr. Emanuel had served in the House together.

Ms. Schakowsky said Mr. Emanuel had declined to tell her if Mr. Obama had a favorite to fill the seat. She said he seemed wary about Mr. Blagojevich.
According to Blago, he approached what is now believed to be Emanuel and the conversation took place about a 10 to 15 million scam non-profit set up to benefit the governor in exchange for Obama's selection:

According to the criminal complaint, Mr. Blagojevich talked about approaching an unnamed “president-elect adviser” to ask for help raising “10, 15 million” for the governor to start a nonprofit organization.

The complaint quoted Mr. Blagojevich as saying that when the president-elect adviser asked him about the special election for the House seat, Mr. Blagojevich wanted “it to be in his head.”
Emanuel now has a headache because it's clear that once Blago put "it" "in his head", he didn't call the FBI. Obama and his cronies cover up and hide corruption and could possibly be involved in it themselves.

Cardinal Dulles, R.I.P

Cardinal Dulles died today.

Through my teenage years and early 20's, Cardinal Dulles was forever in the press articulating the teachings of the Church without slinging any b.s. Every time I'd read him or hear him, I remember thinking what a whack job he was! At some point, the Boston presbyterate had become so nutty that it was obvious what they were teaching couldn't possibly be the truth and I went on my search to find the authentic deposit of faith, read it with an open and honest mind with the intention to want to know the truth - whatever it was.

Of course, I had long forgotten about Cardinal Dulles.

One day, many years after my enlightenment, I turned on the television to find Cardinal Dulles in rare form, on fire, setting dissent straight on some subject matter. I thought to myself, What in Sam Hill is going on...now I think like Avery Dulles!

He fought the good fight. Thank God for Cardinal Dulles and those like him who keep the seeds of truth alive in our conscience. Without them, we would be lost to God forever.

I can imagine the reception this faithful servant of God received on this Blessed day in Advent.

The Audacity and Ineptitude of Newsweek's Theologians

Newsweek's Cover Story, "Our Mutual Joy" here.

Newsweek's Christmas Issue has hit the stands with a cover story named "Our Mutual Joy" to add sanctity to Christendom's Holy Season of Advent.

The meme of their theologian depicts Our Blessed Lord as gay marriage proponent and prohibiting gay couples from the Holy Sacrament of Marriage "based on sexuality is exactly the same thing as denying it based on skin color and no serious (or semiserious) person could argue that. People get married for their mutual joy"

"Jesus", the author says, "was emphatically unmarried", "preached an indifference to earthly attachments-especially family", preached a radical kind of family" and said "many important things about love and family, neither explicitly defines marriage as between one man and one women".

The Bible according to Newsweek, is a book written by polygamists with scant references and examples to codify "a traditional family" as between a man and and woman who procreate. Moving right along past the Holy Family, without reference, the article notes Abraham was an adulterer, Jacob, Solomon and the Kings of Judah were polygamists and though not expressly stated, King David and Jonathan were homosexual lovers
and while there are several "peculiar throwaway lines" describing sex between men as taboo, "sex between women has never, in biblical times, raised much ire".

Merry Christmas.

Who are we to be sticklers about the details, but...um...King David's "lust" is fairly well-documented in his pining for Bathsheba, a woman. He spied on her as she bathed and his fire was so hot he was an architect of her widowhood by sending Uriah to the front lines of the war because he wanted to marry her. While not the role model for Christian courting, the story doesn't jive with homosexual attraction.

The grand scheme that resonates throughout smorgasbord of theological flaws is ~ if Christ did not enumerate a specific prohibition against a particular lust or promiscuity, so long as one doesn't divorce then it doesn 't violate the Fifth Commandment. Least you think this is your lucky day, I'm here to remind you that Christ did not enumerate prohibitions against incest, group sex, sex slavery or even pedophilia. Before you let your imagination grant licenses, indulge yourself in some prayerful time to contemplate whether the omissions indicate Christ's idea of a radical family.

The truth of the matter is, many times Christ ratified Old Testament:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to=2 0destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5 17

Then he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken. Luke 24:25

Quoting passages from Leviticus, the article raises a common strategy to unravel prohibitions against immorality, promiscuity adultery. However, ancient Societal sentences for breaking Scriptural Law reflects what was necessary for the salvation of souls of the common good in the early stages of intellectual evolution. Nothing in our four-thousand year history of Judeo-Christian prohibitions has changed.

Without a doubt the most unnerving quote came from a Catholic Jesuit priest.

"My friend the priest James Martin says his favorite Scripture relating to the question of homosexuality is Psalm 139. A song that praises the beauty and imperfection in all of us and that glorifies God's knowledge of our most secret selves: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made" And then he adds if Jesus were alive today, he would reach out especially to the gays and le sbians among us for Jesus did not want people to be lonely and sad. Let the priests prayer be our own."

Perhaps the prayer has been taken out of context because it certainly is one we can all adopt without leading and delivering any souls into temptation. Inquiring minds want to know - what does Fr. Martin imply is the response to homosexual physical attraction? Prayer, fasting, meditation with the objective of closer relationship with God who can fill the emptiness of a heart which no mortal could hold a candle to? Or, does he lead his flock into temptation?

With friends like that, who needs enemies?

There should be a wide-spread calling in our religious communities to boycott Newsweek for this outrageous article. The article is bigoted, insulting and a sacrilegious publication during our month-long journey towards the Holy Family in Bethlehem, the Nativity and miraculous Birth of Christ.

Shall we network a boycott?

Suzy Rice: The Dominatrix has arrived. Hillary is feeling trampled

I know what you're thinking. At least we can be consoled with Obama's promises to trim the waste in Washington.

But, in a coup for power, after Suzy Rice finished commandeering the UN with her "transition team", she invaded Foggy Bottom with another entourage "transition team".

Hillary's territory is threatened and there is a bitchfest behind the scenes.

The first sign of cracks in President-elect Barack Obama's foreign policy team of rivals emerged on Monday as his choices for secretary of state and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations visited the State Department.

The officials could not say if Clinton's team had formally objected to Rice's plan, or even if Rice would be able to install a separate transition team inside the State Department. But they noted that dueling transition teams could complicate the handover by blurring lines of authority.

Technically, the job of U.N. envoy falls under the authority of the secretary of state, although some previous U.N. ambassadors have held cabinet rank. The last U.N. ambassador to be part of the president's cabinet was Richard Holbrooke, who had a famously icy relationship with then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright during the Clinton administration.

Albright, who was President Clinton's first ambassador to the United Nations, was a mentor to Rice. But the two had a falling out when Albright, America's first female secretary of state, lined up behind Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination and Rice backed Obama

As Secretary of State-pick Hillary Rodham Clinton and U.N. envoy-choice Susan Rice separately visited the diplomatic agency's headquarters in Washington's Foggy Bottom neighborhood, persons familiar with the transition said that Rice wants to install her own transition team inside the department.

Such a move by an incoming U.N. ambassador is rare, if not unprecedented, because the job is based at the United Nations in New York, where Rice already has a small transition staff, the sources familiar with the incoming administration.

The push by Rice, an early Obama supporter whose position the President-elect wants to elevate to a cabinet post, is also a signal that she intends to use her influence with the new president to play a more significant role than previous U.N. envoys, they said. The transition sources spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

Obama's problem with Blagojevich scandal

As everyone knows by now, the democrats were caught selling Obama's Congressional seat in exchange for a cash cow and Board of Director appointments to bring the Illinois Gov Rod Blagojevich and his wife a nice steady flow of the extortion booty.

Unfortunately, that was not the worst news of the day for the Demorats.

Earlier in the day, Obama tried to distance himself by saying he had no contact with Blagojevich:

The president-elect was blunt and brief in addressing the case on Tuesday: "I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so I was not aware of what was happening" concerning any possible dealing about Blagojevich's appointment of a successor.

But, there is evidence to the contrary.

The first indication that Obama and his staff knew of the appointment for cash flow scheme and didn't want to get their hands dirty, are taped statements of Blagojevich indicating he had asked the Obama camp for cash but the Obama camp was unwilling to give him anything:

And Blagojevich himself, in taped conversations cited by prosecutors, suggested that Obama wouldn't be helpful to him. Even if the governor was to appoint a candidate favored by the Obama team, Blagojevich said, "they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation."

Subsequently, Blagojevich was inspired to refer to Obama in the context of vulgarity.

More bad news came when more digging came up with a statement from Obama's top advisor David Axelrod telling reporters that Obama had indeed been involved in the discussions:

His statement that he didn't have contact with Blagojevich about the Senate seat seems to conflict with that of top adviser David Axelrod, who told Fox News Chicago on Nov. 23: "I know he's talked to the governor, and there are a whole range of names, many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them."

While the Obama cronies were responding that Axelrod "misspoke", Obama friend Valarie Jarrett, an incoming senior advisor had been named by Obama as "Candidate 1".

It also appears that Obama friend Valerie Jarrett, an incoming senior White House adviser, is the person referred to repeatedly in court documents as "Candidate 1." That individual is described as a female who is "an adviser to the president-elect" and as the person Obama wanted appointed to the Senate seat. Court papers say that "Candidate 1" eventually removed "herself" from consideration for the Senate seat.

In a Nov. 11 phone conversation with an aide, Blagojevich talked at length about "Candidate 1" and said he knew that Obama wanted her for the open seat but "they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation. (Expletive) them."

Therefore, confirmation that Obama did not know Blagojevich was asking for money and favors is moot. When the Obama Administration gets a phone call asking for bribes in exchange for favors, they don't call the FBI. They give the extortionist all the room he needs to find another victim. This is change in Washington we can believe in.

And, that is the best case scenario.

The worst case scenario is, they were suggesting the appointments but the money was being shuffled through a third-party source

Further, while allegations of misconduct piled up against Blagojevich's administration, Obama complimented Blagojevich for running a "sound administration" with "the right priorities".

Both Obama and Blagojevich were being funded by Tony Rezko who is now under a federal indictment for, you guessed it, extortion, money laundering and fraud.

Rezko assisted Blagojevich in setting up the state's first Democratic administration in twenty years. Rezko was able to have business associates appointed onto several state boards.

Blogojevich also tried to shake down the Chicago Tribune.

Intercepted calls allegedly show that Blagojevich directed Harris to inform the Tribune and an associate, identified as Tribune Financial Advisor, that state financial assistance would be withheld unless members of the Chicago Tribune's editorial board were fired, primarily because Blagojevich viewed them as driving discussion of his possible impeachment.

In a Nov. 4 phone call, Blagojevich allegedly told Harris that he should say to Tribune Financial Advisor, the Cubs chairman and the Tribune owner, "our recommendation is fire all those [expletive] people, get 'em the [expletive] out of there and get us some editorial support."

Meanwhile some joker listed Obama's seat on ebay.

In his ad, he describes the seat in Blagojevich¹s own words, according to the federal complaint released Tuesday: "It's a (expletive) valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing."

Blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

I, a faithless sinner-- renew and ratify today in thy hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever before.

In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day, for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity. Amen.

My dear and sweet Mother Mary, Co-redemptrix of the human race, keep me in Your holy protection. Guard my mind, my heart and my senses, that I be not stained by sin.

Sanctify my thoughts, desires, words, and actions, that I may please You and Your Jesus, my God, and gain paradise with You. Jesus and Mary, give me Your most holy blessing. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen

Second Sunday of Advent

Glorious to wake up to the sight of snow weighing down the trees on this glorious Sunday in the Season of Advent!

Aren't you amazed at all the Obamamas? Their redeemer shall spread peace throughout the earth, cure poverty, build bridges and give us all free internet access! And, the miraculous will all come from a man has yet to go to church since being elected (he rarely went on the campaign trail). Through the insidious, I hope your Advent festivities are bringing you the joy of remembering the real Redeemer, our Savior, reigns.

I've been blessed throughout my life to celebrate my birthday on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception - and we always do our tree while doing birthday celebrating. We picked out our tree yesterday and got it into the stand, put the lights on it and we are decorating it today. (Though, it is a little wobbly in the stand, so we'll have to shore it up first!)

Update on the Obama Citizenship Kerfuffle

Update on the Stay

On November 19, 2008, the official United States Supreme Court Docket for case number 08A407 - Leo C. Donofrio v. Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey - was updated to show that the “emergency stay application” to halt the national election and Electoral College meeting of 2008… was “DISTRIBUTED for Conference of December 5, 2008.” At that time, it was not clear whether this was scheduled for conference by Justice Thomas alone or by the full Court.

In multiple interviews with Leo C. Donofrio, this reporter and other members of the Plains Radio Network, were informed by Mr. Donofrio that he suspected the distribution for conference was an action taken by more than Justice Thomas alone. Mr. Donofrio suggested that another docket update stating the emergency application was referred to the full court by Justice Thomas should have appeared on the docket prior to the distribution for conference.

Since the docket did not reflect a prior referral it was widely accepted that the distribution for conference was an act of Justice Thomas alone. Honest American News can now confirm - by direct contact with the Supreme Court’s Public Information Office - that the distribution for conference of DONOFRIO V. WELLS was an action taken by the full court.

On November 28, 2008, the docket for case number 08A407 was updated to show, retroactively, that Justice Clarence Thomas did in fact refer Donofrio’s emergency stay application to the full court on November 19, 2008. Last night in an interview with…Plains Radio Network, Mr. Donofrio suggested that this new update, nine days later, indicated that the full Court had taken action to distribute the case for conference. Mr. Donofrio cited a SCOTUS public information document issued to reporters entitled:

A REPORTER’S GUIDE TO APPLICATIONS Pending Before The Supreme Court of the United States

In that document, on page 3, it advises:

“The Circuit Justice may act on an application alone or refer it to the full Court for consideration. The fact that an application has been referred to the full Court may not be known publicly until the Court acts on the application and the referral is noted in the Court’s order.”

Mr. Donofrio pointed out in various interviews that since his case had been made public by the SCOTUS, there was probably a referral by Justice Thomas prior to the actual distribution for conference. Mr. Donofrio was correct.

Today I spoke with Patricia McCabe Estrada, Deputy Director of Public Information at the United States Supreme Court. She informed me that Mr. Donofrio’s application was first referred to the full Court by Justice Clarence Thomas on November 19, 2008. After that referral took place the full Court, and not Justice Thomas alone, distributed the application for an emergency stay for Conference of December 5, 2008.

Let me reiterate the main point: DONOFRIO V. WELLS was distributed for conference of December 5, 2008 by the full Court after a prior referral of the application by Justice Thomas.

The below came from a forwarded email and I'm not sure of the source of the original info but it summarizes the points of Obama's Indonesia citizenship concerns well:

The Summary: The Certificate of Live Birth documents posted on Mr. Obama's website www.fightthesmears.com, Daily Kos (a pro-Obama blog) and factcheck.org, (a pro-Obama political research group), were found to be altered and forged.

But beyond the birth certificate issue, there's the matter that Obama traveled to Indonesia, Pakistan, Southern India and Kenya in 1981. He said he went to Indonesia to see his mother. This seemed plausible, except for the fact that his mother returned to Hawaii in August of 1980 to file for a divorce from her second husband, Lolo Soetoro. Unless she went back to pal around with the man she divorced, she wasn't there at the time of Obama's visit.

There's another problem. No record of Obama holding an American passport prior to the one he received once becoming a U.S. senator has been found. If he traveled to Pakistan with an American passport, he wouldn't have been allowed in – since Pakistan was in turmoil in 1981 and under martial law. It was also on the State Department's travel ban list for U.S. citizens.

If he couldn't get into Pakistan with a U.S. passport, perhaps he went there with an Indonesian passport. But the only way you can get one of those is if you are an Indonesian citizen.

That's quite possible since under Indonesian law, when a male acknowledges a child as his son, it deems the son – in this case Obama – to be an Indonesian state citizen, which was also recorded by Obama's school record.

So, if he didn't go to Indonesia in 1981 to visit mom (who had returned to Hawaii by then), might it have something to do with the fact that Indonesian passports expire every five years and it was time for renewal?

Why does that matter?

If Obama would have been a U.S. citizen, 8 USC §1481(a)(2) provides loss of nationality by native born citizens upon "taking an oath or making an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state ... after having attained the age of eighteen years," in violation of 8 U.S.C. §1401(a)(1). Simply put, since Indonesia did not allow for dual citizenship, if Obama got that passport in 1981, when he was 20 years old, he effectively renounced any U.S. citizenship he may have had.

So, if the experts are right, Obama forged a Certification of Live Birth to fool America. In addition to the automatic Indonesian citizenship granted to a child acknowledged as a "son" by an Indonesian male citizen, and the Indonesian citizenship listed in Obama's school records, Obama then traveled to a place where Americans weren't allowed to go, but citizens of Indonesia were. If he obtained an Indonesian passport on his trip in 1981, he effectively renounced any American citizenship he may have had and cannot serve as president (or "rule" as president, as members of his campaign have stated). These are serious questions that must have answers.

What? No diamond tiara?

Eradicating poverty in style, Obama is buying his wife a 30 thousand dollar rhodium bling.

Historically, when silver, gold and platinum simply didn't say "I love you", "Congratulations", or "I'm loaded" loud enough, rhodium has done the trick. Used in the world's most expensive pens and, indeed, to plate the Queen's crown jewels,

Of course, who are we to begrudge the woman of the bejeweling for suffering faithfully her husband's billion dollar campaign.

That will bring the grand total for his campaign to more than $750 million — more than the combined sum raised by President George W. Bush and his Democratic rival, John F. Kerry, in the record-setting 2004 campaign and nearly as much as the total raised by all the presidential contenders then.

The Obama team also helped raise more than $50 million for the Democratic convention’s host committee in Denver and more than $100 million for the Democratic National Committee. He’s still raising money for his transition and Inauguration. Four years ago, Bush raised $40 million for his Inauguration.

You know how much you can trust the mainstream press when they blackout the billion dollars being spent on the Obamas to ridicule 150 thousand of clothes for a woman who couldn't afford it on her own.

It's about the poor, dontcha know.

The Prayer

Christmas Novena

Courtesy of Fish Eaters

Say 15 times a day from St. Andrew's Day (30 November) until Christmas

Hail, and blessed be the hour and moment at which the Son of God was born of a most pure Virgin at a stable at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold. At that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, to hear my prayers and grant my desires. (Mention your intentions here) Through Jesus Christ and His most Blessed Mother.

The Dragon Lady Shall Eradicate Poverty and Restore Electricity

Seems Barack is enthroning the old half-dead Clinton Administration as the agents for "change". Bill Richardson, Rahl Emmanuel and, surprise, the Dragon Lady herself. Michael Reagan put is succinctly, When LBJ named an old foe to a post in his administration, he explained that it was better to have the camel inside the tent urinating out, than outside the tent urinating in.

They'll be plenty of damage inside the tent before stench of urine is detectable inside the White House (not to mention the double and triple humps?).

This snippet of information that is cross-referenced in several stories is most intriguing:

Obama's choice of Clinton was finalized after her husband, former president Bill Clinton, agreed to release the names of donors to his presidential library and foundation.

Obama held the carrot on a stick in front of the Clintons and said the price of Bill Clinton's donor list, Hillary was given her appointment? It was about money. Washington is a-changing.

The former first lady was a strong advocate for development programs for women - such as loan assistance to help women in third-world nations start small businesses, giving them both a higher household income as well as a stronger role in the local economy, her supporters note. Such development programs can be crucial forces in empowering women, they said.

The sheer star power Clinton offers is in itself a boost for women, said Representative James McGovern, a Worcester Democrat and early supporter of Clinton's presidential run. McGovern, who was recently in rural Ecuador, said local women clamored to know whether Clinton indeed was in line to head the State Department.

"Women in these poor villages were beaming at the thought that Hillary might be the next secretary of state," McGovern said. "Women in indigenous communities where we visited, where there is no electricity, were excited about this possibility."

The fix is in for Dafur: Hillary shall eradicate poverty, restore electricity and set women up with small businesses who are living under dictatorship and oppression.

It really is a shame the Bush Administration didn't think of this.
